I'm probably just repeating what everyone else is saying but I too have joined just to comment on this. We were due to go on the 21st and paid £150for the tickets. Fortunately we hadn't told the kids, it was gonna be a surprise. I didn't however pay by credit card so i doubt i'll get my money back. Just what we all need at this time of year hey? I'll be checking back here regularly for updates though. There must be something someone somewhere can do no??

omg!!! this is rediculous....clearly it only went offline due to demand crashing it!!

Trouble is theres nowhere to post on the site to warn people, and just checked small print on my tickets they've made sure they've covered themselves!

on BBC South Today, today they had a clip of Henry Mears phoning BBC Radio Solent and he says (not exact quote but to the point) ''I see nothing wrong with the park and it is enjoyable just to walk around''.

All I have to say to that, is that the park is not of a quality at all - Nothing but a 'get rich quick' scheme.

the website is back on line and still taking bookings!!

Not only that they are offering.....wait for it......are you sitting down?.....well I'll let them tell you :

Special Offer: The management of Lapland New Forest are kindly offering a generous FREE £5.00 Gift Voucher to every new adult ticket holder that books for 1st -to- 5th December inclusive. This complimentary gift can be exchanged for any Christmas goods on the official Lapland New Forest Stall. This special offer is effective from 25th November and will be presented to all qualifying new ticket holders on entry.

:wohoo:

Don't all rush to book you're tickets at once now will you?

Hi folks, may I offer a crumb of comfort? If you paid by credit card and it was a "customer not present" transaction, ie you didn't give your pin number, then tell your card company that you are disputing the transaction unless the vendor can prove that you entered your pin. In other words insist that the vendor provides a copy of the transaction receipt stating PIN Verified.

Your card company may try and fob you off, or say they will charge you if your query is wrong, but as it would appear most people have bought tickets through the website then you'll be fine.

Secondly re the Director, yes it is Victor Robert Mears, 222 Selsfield Road, Brighton BN2 4HH. However for what it's worth the Company Secretary, Gavin Tanner, 26 Wembley Avenue, Lancing BN15 9JZ has the following information against him:

17 Directorships of Trading Companies
5 Directorships of Insolvent Companies
51 Directorships of Dissolved Companies
34 Resigned Directorships

So he's got a very interesting track record...........

Anyway, good luck, it may be tough but stand up for yourself if your Card Company tries to turn you down and you WILL be successful.

Go to the one in Goudhurst, Kent (google laplanduk), we went on Sunday and it was brilliant! Very nervous that we were going to destroy the magic of Christmas for our 7 year old but it was great. He knows that all the Santa's leading up to Christmas are not real and that you fly in a plane to get to the North Pole so how would this work?
A magical 'pathway', elves, ice skating, real Saami, reindeer, stroking huskies... all fantastic. He hasnt stopped telling everyone that he met the 'real' Santa this time, who knew all about him! He helped the elves make a toy which 'another child will open on Christmas Day' and even threw a snowball at Mum! Lots more money per head but worth it, easily.

right ware do i start yesterday was my day to brave the so called lapland
arrived 330pm walked over to the tunnel of light it did not look as bad as was told did not take long to get through that yes the nativity seen is p-- went in the gingerbread shed and we did manage to do one without running out of icing.we did see the huskys and the plastic polar bear but in all honesty do the public expert to see a real one. i told my small son a story on him.it WAS NOT OH LOOK A PLASTIC BEAR i can understand it as been raining quiet a lot recentley and HALLOOOO fake snow will wash away did see the big fellow and enjoyed a real german sausage. best part of the day all fairground rides are now all free we must have had 20 different rides on the bumper cars and the ice rink is pay once and stay as long as you want.i think if you was going go after 330pm o i did forget to tell you people was re snowing everything look you have paid your money go and have a look marks out of ten 4 it;s not real lapland go with a open mind.would not do it book something like this in this country again

Oh my god, are you serious?!

I better rush onto the website quickly before they're all sold out.. :-s

What a joke. Surely they can't expect anyone to order tickets after the news coverage on TV and the radio!

Lapland UK in Kent sounded really good, but that was before I visited the New Forest one.. So now I'm a bit wary of those sorts of things :( Which is a shame because Christmas is my favourite time of year..

But the reviews look good so I may give it a go next year!

I have been following this thread and are truely soory for those that have already gone.

Just thought I let you know that Nominets public register shows the website registered to:

Removed by Admin

If you do a search on 118118 you get the telephone number: Removed

Not sure if this helps.

Just a quick post to let everyone know that we got an email from Alex. He did register the domain name, but only on behalf of New Forest Lapland Ltd (looks like he owns a web support company).
He insists that he handed the domain name over and has absolutely nothing to do with them.

Hi, I work at Fire FM in Bournemouth. Would anyone like to voice their opinions for the radio station? It would be a great way of informing people and warning them about your experiences.

Please call 01202 443607

Thanks, Stu

Ok then, having gone to Matchams to watch the banger racing and finding that it was a waste of money, I looked at the 'lapland' with great interest. I worked it out to be £110 for 4 adults and my 19month old. I had a feeling that it would all be a bit rubbish, so I thought 'nah'! Glad that I did now!!!!

I take it that fire fm don't sponsor the racing down there anymore!!

Stu - I tried to call your station yesterday but couldn't get through. I spoke to 2CR, who had been running an advertising campaign for the 'event' and who were subsequently meeting to decide whether it should be suspended (I very much hope it was). Just wondered if Lapland New Forest were running any advertising on your station?

Hi
I am a mum of 6 and a grandmother of 4, I also own Siberian huskies ,
I know what the real Lapland UK is like and its wonderful, we have been down there with our dogs to meet and greet people. so to see this heartless rip off upsets me greatly, I just hope that all the kids that went through this awful experiance have a wonderful christmas and the owners of the lapland dorest get sued, then they can't do this again
So sad so many familys have lost the money they have worked hard for and saved'

Cheers
Terry

I thought the fact that the huskies were being led around by young girls a bit worrying allowing children to go up and stroke them! If i'm not wrong these are wild dangerous animals and could easily turn on a child or even adult! I'm sure the girls handling them could not have done a thing to stop them. I must also add the dogs looked terrified and i would not allow my child to go near the, not just for safety reasons but to leave the poor dogs alone.

Are people still going to this thing or is it shut down? I couldnt help but laugh when we got there, people were just standing around thinking it must have been a sick joke. I only stopped laughing when i saw the look of sheer disapoinment and misery on my childs face.

Hi,
You might want to watch this before buying your tickets!!!

Huskies are not wild animals! they are just a breed of dog that have a specific purpose just like border collies.

Lots of people own Huskys as domestic pets, our friend has one and is a complete softy.

They were on about this lapland place on Jeremy Vine Radio 2.
