ffion isnt feeding well its like she hates to work for the hind milk and cant b bothered

Does she fall asleep before she's finished feeding? You could try breast compressions to remind her that she's meant to be sucking - thumb on the top and fingers under the breast (quite far back) and push down towards the nipple. She should start sucking again - keep it compressed until she stops, and keep doing it if she falls asleep again.

What colour is her poo? If it's still a nice mustardy yellow colour (not sure why I wrote nice?! I mean normal), then maybe she's just got far better at getting the milk out and is feeding much quicker but getting the hindmilk too, or not wanting to comfort suck for as long afterwards. Green poo is a sign that she's not getting enough of the hindmilk though. If she's having lots of wet and dirty nappies and still gaining weight well I wouldn't worry x

Sharlotte has gotten tons better at feeding lately. It's almost nice to get up briefly with her at night... just the two of us... She gets up, feeds, has a change of diaper and is back asleep in 20 or 30 mins. Far cry from the 2-3 hours of a month or two ago...

Maybe she's in growth plateau. SOmetimes they'll do that for 2-3 days or even a week, but at this age, should be eating good again shortly after.

i think she has been going through a spurt but its been over a week now and shes still wanting feeds all the time. she only drinks for about 10min then comes off, seems satisfied and then she wants more later

If she seems satisfied she might just have had enough - Sam has always fed every 2 hours during the day, but he can empty one side in about 10 minutes x

my little guy also feeds every two hours in the day, unless there is some distraction like falling asleep in the car or stroller, but if we are home its boobie he wants! at night its a bit different.

Kaya is 9 months and still feeds every 3-4 hours. Breast milk is very easy for them to digest so it makes sense that it would only really do them a few hours at a time.

i think im just finding it difficult having rhys too... hes getting very jealous and extremely naughty to get my attention even though when ffion is asleep we have one on one playtime and i try to involve him as much as possible when ffion is awake. shes also waking up 3-4times a night

Skyler drinks every 2 hours still.Sometimes a lot.sometimes just a few sips as if he is just quenching his thirst! I dont mind.I really enjoy breastfeeding.

With the amount of time I spend feeding Sam I can imagine how difficult it would be with two. Is there any way you can involve him in the actual feeds in some way so he's not getting jealous that Ffion's getting all of your attention? Make that your time to read to him with him sitting with you or something? x

thats what i do, we read books and he sits on my knee too. but then he gets bored and starts doin things like climbing on stuff, turnin off the tv and throwing his toys coz he knows im stuck sat down
