Looking for a pcos buddy or buddies

Thanks ladies, I am also on on 2000 mg of metformin. Bethneebabe, That is good that your cycles are more regular now. How long have u been on metformin?

Hey Chile i would like to be your buddy as well. I know i can get encouragement here. I have PCOS and have been TTC since i was 11 ( yeah i know) and i'm 30 now. I have done 8 IUI's and all BFN. But it sees as though i ovulate naturally for about 2 months after fertility meds but then i'm back to no periods and no ovulation. Has any of you had this happen? I have open tubes but y hubby has Varicocele so he doesn't have a great amount of sperm but it's okay i think (around 10 mil each time). Saving up for IVF but really scared to do just one in case it doesn't work then i'll be out of money for a second try.

Of course you can be my buddy! I think I may start to save too. Just in case. And I feel the same way about a failed attempt. 10000 aint a wasteful penny. I know my fertility clinic have some type of ivf refund program....idk all the details and hoping that i dont want to find out. But since me and DH are military if we have to we will get it done at a Military facility because its cheaper. Best of luck to you lady!!! And tons of baby dusts!!!

Hey Everyone!!! Thanks for all the luck! My appointment went great! Long story short I will be taking provera to induce my period, and then I will start Femara 5 mg. And my hubby will take vitamens to help his motility. and morph. sooooo excited ladies!

GOOD LUCK!! x x

I'm good as well ladies. Trying to stay positive :) really hoping for a bfp :)

How is the femara doing? Are there any side effects?

I can only hope and pray that it is working. I have had very few hot flashes maybe like 2. I feel normal. I feel differnt twinges every now and then. Guess femara is doing the job :)

Twinges are good! That is good that you are not suffering with bad side effects. Clomid was horrendous for me. I have heard good things about femara and it not having any side effects.

I heard. I will keep you ladies updated and you do the same. tons of baby dust!!!!

Congrats to ami1985, she did get her bfp!!

I'm a pcos lady as well! My hubby and I were married in April of 2010, started trying in June, quickly realized that I wasn't having a period and not ovulating. In August of 2011 I was finally diagnosed with pcos, and put on metformin. That plus a complete change of diet has helped me lose 48 pounds so far, ovulate for the first time in well over 1.5 years, and yesterday I got a positive on an HPT! I'm hoping so hard for a sticky bean.

If there are any questions I can answer for you ladies about my experiences with PCOS, please let me know.
