LO's bathing with Dad

She seems to have very litle life experience and a lot of opinions on things shes obviously had no contact with.
There is nothing wrong with your child seeing you naked until THEY are uncomfortable with it!

Phoebe bathes with me at least once a week and it is the easiet bath of the week as she lets me do her hair while she does mine etc..
She doesnt bath with her dad, I think he would feel uncomfortable with it (he worries about these things and what people would say, such as what your friend said) but she goes in the bathroom while he has a shower and has never even mentioned his 'bits' or what they are (though she does mention his boobies )

as she's quite curious when it comes to body parts

There is nothing wrong with it at all! Paddy had a bath with his dad the other day and it was the first time they had had one together for ages and it was just so beautiful to watch! It brought tears to my eyes! You dont get to have moments like that for very long and i think they should be treasured. I think your friend has the problem if she sees it as strange TBH xxx

nothing wrong with bathing with a parent and whoever thinks there is obviously has some deep rooted issues, ive bathed with all my boys and even now my 12 year old comes into the bathroom to chat to me while im in the bath, obviously these days i try and cover up a little but tbh its a naked body, nothing sexual about someone having no clothes on is there es-ecially your parent

Olivia still sometimes has a bath with her dad and she will be 3 this year.

The only time she has ever mentioned anything was when she started sobbing in the bath one day, when i asked her why she pointed at Chris bits and said Daddy has pooed in my bath .

yeah i also agree nothing sexual, if i am in the bath i never lock the door, if the kids ages 6 and nearly 3 want to come in they do i do cover up but they are my kids and they like to come in and splash me and i splash them when they have their clothes on just a bit of fun.

Its not disgusting at all hun, it's the best way for your child to learn the difference between a boy and a girl, and I'd rather my child was comfortable around her parents anyway.

Oh my, now I've heard it all! I dont bath with my boys or my girl anymore, but not coz it's disgusting! Mine are 6, 8 and 11, and as others have said when I'm in the bath i'll leave the door open so they can come in if they want me! I make sure my lady garden s covered in bubbles or something, but im not really that worried about my boobs.. as far as the kids are concerned my boobs are just 'the new babies food'...with the exception of my 11 year old son.. he wont come in coz he's too embarrased to see mummy naked

it is totally okay, aaron loves his baths with daddy, it is special time as having an 8 year old they do get too big so it doesnt last long!

I dont have baths with him any more though for the same reason as you, I couldnt deal with getting me washed and out and him so I stick to sharing my baths with candles, a magazine and a glass of wine!

We still have baths with LO, she always asks one of us to get in with her She thinks its much more fun splashing mummy or daddy then playing on her own! She's asked once what it was, and we just said daddys a boy and were girls and now she doesn't even mention 'it'.

OMg I laughed so hard at this! Kid's are fab! LO will bath with us, when I feel like one lol, or she showers with us,. until she wants to!

Me or OH often bath with our daughter. I think someone who thinks it's disgusting has serious issues! Kids need to learn the difference between males and females and shouldn't be taught to be ashamed or embarrassed about their bodies.
