Lovely Ladies TTC

Just seen doc today. No polyps, no fibroids, no pcos, no nothing. Which is good but doesn't answer why my periods are becoming heavier, more painful and why I've had bleeding inbetween periods. And why I'm not pregnant. She has suggested going on the pill for a few months to reset my hormones and getting hubby's sperm tested...

Btw, had the hysteroscopy today. Horrendous!! Had to have local anaesthetic injections in my cervix!!! Ow!!!

Wow fliiping heck lass...rather you than me - owweee!!!

Strange they can't find anything wrong - hopefully that'll mean you are just playing the waiting game and you'll be able to get your baby sooner rather than later? I really hope so hun! The pill might be a good idea? Worth a try right? Got my FX for you x :flower::hugs:

Ah no Minnie I'm so sorry that after all that they have no answers. How frustrating :hugs: I guess the Pill might be worth a shot, you never know? FX for you x

Hi, I don't know if anyone is out there but thought I'd jump on to post a picture of Megan. She's turned 1 today! Where did the time go!? She started walking about 3 weeks ago and is talking and changing so much. I hope you post pics of your little ones turning 1 too. It's been an amazing journey from saying "I'm pregnant" to "She's a year old". Take care!

Awww purple ivy what a beautiful pic of your darling little lady :) So glad she had a great birthday hun. It really is soo scary how time flies!

I have attached a pic of Isaac at 1 year too! Birthday was 8th July :) He's also off and walking. He took his first wobblies at 10 and 1/2 months. Well...life became a lot more interesting eh? Oh and hazardous!! Lol. Up until his 1st Birthday we only had 2 bottom pegs (teeth). Over the last couple of weeks his top one and another bottom one are coming through :) lol

It's amazing to think it's been close to 2years since we announced our bfp!! Wowww! What an incredible journey it's been so far!!! Hugs to you all :) :hugs:

Awww! Both of them are so gorgeous! Happy 1st Birthdays :D Isn't it mad how quickly time has gone...DS isn't 1 for another month yet but I'm hoping he'll be following suit and walking soon. He does quite well with his little push-along walker thingy but not really tried to take any steps on his own.

Carlywarly are you guys ttc again? You mentioned on the previous page you were hoping to...fingers crossed for you!

Aw hey Smiler :) He'll be off in no time! Hope he has a wonderful birthday next month X

We are currently ttc number 2. 3 cycles so far. Last cycle was a chemical :( Just hope we're able to conceive again...but if not I'll count my blessings with Isaac :)

It's so nice to catch up! Glad you're doing well x

Hi ladies! Issac is adorable, such a little man. Good luck ttc, it's always an exciting time. My first before Megan was a chemical as it's always sad and hard. I hope it all works out for you and Issac gets a little brother or sister. :flower:

Megan's teeth developed rather quickly. She got her two bottom then top two. Shortly afterward she got 2 more bottom and top so she's had all four top and bottom since around 9-10 mos. It really does change when they start walking! He will be walking soon Smiler, Megan did so much better on her own after using her walker for a few days. It's so exciting when they hit those milestones.

I'm weaning her from BM now and incorporating her with whole milk. It's been going good and she should be switched over soon. Thankfully she's turned into a wonderful sleeper. She's been sleeping through the nights since around 9-10 months and she dropped her night feed so it's be great. I thought it would never happen but once she was getting 3 solid meals a day it really helps sustain her throughout the night. She does great at daycare, loves all her little friends. She's growing up to be such a good little girl that I cannot wait to see what the future hold.

I'm so happy to hear from you ladies and hope to hear from more. Take care everyone and let me know how your little ones are doing. :hugs:

Awww he's lovely Hope :) I'm so glad you are coming through your pnd!! Must have been tough going for you. Glad he had a lovely birthday and thanks so much :) x

Peter is adorable Hope. It is nice when they have a sibling to play with. I actually got af today for the first time since getting pregnant, it's been almost 2 years. It was nice not having it but I did stop nursing about 1 mo ago so my body is finally getting back to normal I guess. Plus w/my PCOS I'm sure that plays into the delay. Still no plans for #2 due to daycare cost but Megan is our joy so I am very content with her at this time. Keeping those fingers crossed for you Carly.

Hi! Is anyone still out there? Just thought I'd pop on and say that pregnant with #2! :baby: I was really leaning more towards not having another baby but my DH surprisingly said that he thought Megan should have a sibling. That was a month or so ago and it's been in the back of my mind and I started to think about when would be a good time to have a baby, I liked the idea of spring. So even thought I have the PCOS I've been having regular AF on a 35-36 day cycle since I AF started in Sept. I realized yesterday that I should have gotten it over a week ago so I bought a cheap test. I took it this morning & the line appeared immediately. I was so shocked, I really didn't think I was pregnant b/c I feel nothing. The only thing I did notice was that I'm so hungry in the morning now and at lunch time but then hardly eat at night. That's not normal for me so we're going to get a few more tests on lunch today and see what happens! I guess I'm still in a daze b/c while we were not preventing it we hadn't really started trying and it happened so fast! I don't know if anyone is out there but I'd like to know if anyone else had or is on #2 too! It's still early about 6 weeks and I'll be following up with the Dr. soon to make really sure. Take care all!! :flower:

That's awesome news, congratulations!

I haven't been on here in quite a while and haven't got much good news to report.
I've had some tests done recently including a hysteroscopy but all has come back fine with me.
My hubby has finally has a sperm test and he's been told that it was 8 million. Which is far lower than what we'd like and about 25% of what it ideally should be. The Specialist said to keep trying but our best option is ICSI. We're in the UK and not eligible for treatment on the NHS as we already have a child so cost will be around £5000/$8000.
So we're waiting until he has the results of his second test to confirm that the first wasn't a fluke and then we've got some decisions to make then.

If we could guarantee ICSI would work, we'd definitely go for it. But it's a lot of money and could take many cycles to work. Don't really know what to do. Already having one child, I never thought this would be an issue.
Maybe we should just be grateful for what we've got and accept that this is the hand that life has dealt us. I don't know.

Hi Minnie- Good to hear from you! Sorry to hear about your husbands low count. I know of 2 other guys that this has happened too, its not easy. I hope the 2nd test come out better.

I really thought if we did decide to move forward it would take months to get pregnant so I am still wrapping my head around it. My SIL had a tough time getting pregnant w/#3 so even when you have a couple it can still be hard.

I agree that your daughter is a blessing and maybe you are meant to have just her as much as you want another. It's never easy when you get the opposite of what you want. :hugs: Hang in there hon!!

Hi huns! :)

Purple, thats amazing news - congratulations! Sooo happy for you :)

Minnie, so so sorry about dh's results....gotta be a blow for both of you :( The good news is that he's still got swimmers there and it only takes that one strong swimmer!! May just take a bit longer than you could normally expect to ttc :/

Afm: I am not having much luck ttc number 2 either :( Had 10 cycles with no joy...but I'm keeping the faith! We started trying with a new donor last cycle so lets see how this goes lol. Great to hear from you both and good luck to both of you ladies xxx

Hey everyone :hi:

PurpleIvy - congrats!! That is so great for you :) Have you got any appointments/scans etc soon?

Minnie I am really sorry about the sperm count. If memory serves they like it to be around 20 million or something? They never said the exact number (and DH didn't ask) but he was told at one point in our ttc journey he had a low sperm count but would retest him after 3 months. In that time he ate better, took WellMan vitamins and the 2nd test his results were much better. I don't know if any of that info helps  but you have conceived before so hopefully is not a situation where they think you have zero chance?

carlywarly- fx for the new donor, I hope you get some good news soon :)

As for me I came off the pill in January, had a 35 day cycle which for me (PCOS) is amazing. We are still waiting a little longer to be properly ttc though; think I'd like DS to be 2 at least before I get pregnant again. BUt because of the PCOS I thought I should stop the pill and see what my cycles are like, give my body a chance to recover from the synthetic hormones etc, so we'll see :)

Not sure everybody in the group remembers me, but I was part of it way back when we still thought we were 'normal'.

Smiler - it is so good to hear an update from you, I've thought about you many times.

Figured I'd also give an update since this group almost awakens some sort of nostalgic feelings in me, lol.
We were diagnosed as 'entirely infertile' a little while after I came on BnB. I went through 3 IVF cycles, was pregnant once but miscarried early on. Somewhere in between the IVF cycles we started the adoption process are are now proud parents of a beautiful little boy who was placed with us in the summer :happydance::happydance::happydance:

We are thinking about #2 but are not sure how we should go about it (to be honest, neither of our options seem so awesome, so we'll have to do some thinking).

Minnie - I feel your pain. We had to pay all of our cycles out of pocket (as well as the adoption). Think we spent about one house downpayment (>$ 40k) on becoming parents. And yeah, we're an awesome example of how ICSI does not always work. But everyone is different, and 8mil is not a complete nightmare. If you'd like to chat, PM me.

AuCa!! So amazing to hear from you and am so very happy to hear you have a son now, that is just brilliant. I certainly do remember you and have often wondered how things were for you, I remember when you posted about leaving the sit. Great to have an update :) How old is your little boy?

Thanks Smiler :hugs:
I haven't posted in here for ages just kept checking on a few ladies.

Our son is about to turn 7 months now. I am thinking he must be about one year younger than yours?
