Making extra money for Christmas 2014

I have been inundated with good paying surveys over the last few weeks, I just wish the extra points would go through for GTM and then I can buy (for free of course) the Babyliss Pro Curler and then that will only leave me with one present I am hoping to get for free to save up for for hubby, the Lego R2D2 which is £166 on Amazon at the mo so will have some serious surveying to do in the next three months lol,

Is there any major purchases that you have all made using your vouchers or have you all just used as you went along? I have saved for the bigger items this year rather than small although I have had some smaller ones likes games and Playmobil from Amazon my main ones for free this year have been

Babyliss Pro Curler (£135 when get vouchers)
Beats headphones should have been £269 but on Amazon one day offer (£179.99 totally free)
Michael Kors purse (£125 Love to Shop Vouchers through House of Fraser)
I have also got £615 in Topcashback which I am going to redeem closer to the time for a Currys vouchers which should give me close to £650 off the TV for hubby

I have also got £100 in nectar points which I do not think I am going to need this year, so think I am going to save them up for next year (I usually manage around £100 per year)

OMG I love free stuff :happydance:

Can barely believe how well you've done with free money! I'm waiting on 160 in vouchers which will finish off the kids pressies but none has been expensive really so I built Amazon up as i waited and got as they came down in price and have another 40ish to cash out now and anything else will be a bonus if I make it in time.

Hubby built a website this weekend for £200 so I've got that to be going to different food banks at Christmas instead of presents for the family. Everyone will get some goodies the kids have made and home made food treats we've all made but we've decided to put our budget for others to food banks this year. I don't explain it well it sounds a bit tight doesn't it. :dohh:

Did anyone get the food diary money yet? x

Nope not me! :flower:

no food diary money for me yet either I'm £1 off cashing out as well which is driving me crazy

It seems to differ from person to person. I am on quite a few:

One Poll - these surveys are really quick but are rarely worth more than 10p each. You cash out at £40 into paypal and get a few a day.

Valued Opinion - these are worth about 50p/75p each with some being worth more. You cash out at £10.50 (for a £10 voucher) at loads of places including amazon/argos/topshop ect. I used to get alof of these but now get about 3 or 4 a week.

Opinion World - most of these are 50points (worth 50p) each with the occasional one 75points. You cash out at £2.50 with amazon vouchers. I get a fair few of these, prob about 2 a day but do get kicked out of some.

Populus - these pay the best, £1 for ever 5 mins of your time (between £1 and £3 each) but they are rarer. Ive only had 13 since July. You cash out as a cheque at £50.

Inbox Pounds - these surveys are frequent but be prepared to get kicked out of a good few. You can top up by clicking on the links on the 'paid emails' but they are only worth 1p each. The surveys are usually around 20p-40p each and you cash out at £20.

Global Test Market - you get ALOT of these emails, a fair few i get kicked out of but they are usually worth 30/35 points (sometimes more) each and you cash out at 1000points. This site is quite confusing to start off with but for 1041points you can get £30 amazon vouchers and i think around 1050 points is £30 argos vouchers. You can also get it paid into paypal.

Crowdology - you dont get many of these but they pay quite well, some surveys are as little as 30p but you usually get some that are worth £1-£2. You cash out at £4 into paypal.

Opinion Outpost - ive been signed upto this for a while but have only managed to successfully complete 1 survey! They seem to close them/fill up pretty quick so unless youre going to be online a lot you might miss them. The pay out at 50 points which is worth £2.50 amazon vouchers.

I also watch adverts on adpoints for nectar points. I usually do this during boring surveys or in the ad breaks when i am watching tv! lol. You only get about 3 points per ad so its slow going but worth it if yo have a few boring mins.

If you'd like any referrals let me know (if i can say that?! )

EDIT i for got Toluna - i get LOADS of these emails but rarely get through the surveu without being kicked out. I know a few ladies who do very well on there though.

Last year i had alot of success with Swagbucks. This year i've been doing opinionworld, valued opinions and globaltestmarket.

Going to start swagbucks again tonight as last year i made well over £200 in the space of time from August to December.

^^^ how did you make the most on swagbucks hun? i never got anywhere on it and i was crap at the games xx

I hated swagbucks. It seemed you had to pay money to earn anything

2 points away from £10 on OW >_>
£19 on VO

OW down for anybody else? I can login but when it goes to account page it says

"Sorry for the error!

This has been sent to our technicians to review.
Please try again at a later time.
"

I've given up the surveys for this year now! I can only get on in the evening when the little ones are asleep and seems they're always finished by then and kids presents will be finished once I've cashed out on everything.

Will be interesting to see how much we've all managed to make and since when, I'll have a look at mine tonight. Good luck those who are still doing them and are starting now :flower:

Im at £10 on VO, SO annoying yo need to earn the extra 50p to cash out, esp when there are no surveys to complete!!

Woke up to my GTM vouchers yay! 90 pound now spent :) xx

Its annoying! Its not too bad if you have a pile of surveys to complete but im just waiting for a survey to pop up so i can complete it for 'free' before i get my money. Surveys are deffo low on the ground lately!
