I have a haemorid as well, I am chocked as I somehow forgot to mention it to my gynocologist the other day and now I don't see her again, I also don't have a regular doctor yet so I think I will have to go to the chemist to see what I can get over the counter, it feels like I am pooing shards of glass...ouch
Hope you are feeling better missmuffet!
My MIL is here right now, it is great to have an extra pair of hands but she doesn;t stop talking...ever!! OH is at work all day so I have to listen to it and then hear the same stories when he is home from work, I feel really bad saying this but it is starting to drive me a little crazy. She has been soo helpful though so I feel guilty thinking she is annoying...
Wren is crying...hope you are all well..
Owie, your hemmorhoid sounds really painful
I hope it clears up soon! And everybody elses! Interesting to see that it's so common...
I sort of know what you mean about your MIL, but mine's fine...I feel that way about my dad! Slightly different situation, but it feels like he comes over to see us every single day and always talks about his job
Bit work obsessed is he. He too doesn't shut up. Ever. Drives my mum mental
Don't worry, I'm sure your OH knows allll about it, having had to grow up with his mum and all
Just pass her Wren and maybe she'll talk to her instead lol..
How does everyone wash their babies hair? M's is a little bit greasy even after I gave her a quick wash with water the other day. Do you just wrap them in a towel and put their head above the bath and use a flannel or something to wash the hair with? Can I use a tiny bit of baby shampoo or is it too early for that? I fell asleep giving her snuggles earlier and dribbled all over the top of her head
Lynn - least you know that hubby will be of more use after the marathon. It's hard with one baby, god knows how people manage with two or more!
I've officially been discharged by the MW now. Bleeding is reducing, uterus has shrunk right down and my stitches have nearly disolved. Still don't think I'll be up for DTD with OH for a while yet though!
Hehe I giggled at the bit where you said you dribbled on her head
My mum actually put baby shampoo on Lachlan's head when he was about a week old and he was fine
I haven't used it since as I don't think they need it, body wash etc should do the trick
I wash Lachie every couple of days now (have showered with him once and that was lovely, until he started rooting around looking for brekkie lol..) and I got him this really nice baby bath and body wash that's got lavender oil etc in it - it's hypoallergenic etc etc so it's totally safe and has moisturising stuff in. Admittedly it cost nearly 15 dollars for a small bottle but still
But yeah, I wash his hair with a flannel, just rub it round his whole head and behind his ears (and neck folds haha eeew they get smelly..)
Also, it's fine to wash their hair while they're still in the bath (depends on whether you're using a baby bath as to whether you easily can), you just make sure you're holding them with your wrist across their back and your hand circled around their upper arm on the side facing far from you
x Hope that helped
Just to add - I don't bath Lachlan every couple of days cause he needs it lol just because he seems to quite like it
If he didn't I'd probably do it weekly unless he poo-sploded (which he did yesterday
).
