march lambs 2010 come on ladies

What a lovely smile Gabriel's got!

Still no joy with the water, but she's been eating more solids which is good.

I'm ill - laryngitis. M is poorly too - woke up this morning and just cried until I managed to get some calpol and booby milk in her. She was all floppy and had a temperature of 39. She's perked right up now though.

Nothing much else to report here. Hopefully I'll find out on Friday if I'm being made redundant. Oh, and M did her first proper 'poo' face yesterday! :haha: She's never really strained to go before, but now she's eating more solids she stands and holds on to something (the couch usually) and does her grunts and pooface. Hilarious!

She's also started saying 'nonononononono' when she's whingeing or doing something she doesn't like, such as having her coat put on or being removed from hitting the TV. I'm not sure if she means 'no' or if it's just a coincidence that that's the sound she uses!

aww cute,
my boys are just entertaining themselves making mess while DH is ordering me about via gmail chat to go get the rent paid caus he couldnt be arsed to find the card reader in the last 2 wks hes been off work

im not having a good day at all at all , it sarted bad and its getting worse

Lynn - :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: I hope your day gets better after all!!

Cocoa - I hope you two girls feel better soon :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: being sick is so not fun!!!

Lynn-I hope your day got better!

Cocoa-so cute about the nononono! Hope you guys are feeling better right away!

I think we may have kicked Mika's ear infection, but we shall see. He finished his course of antibiotics yesterday and he's been a bit cranky, but I think most of that is because he has started fighting his naps! He threw a screaming fit at daycare today and I had to go get him as he was upsetting one of the other girls so much. When I got there she was going back and forth between him and the playpen he had been in when he started crying saying "the baby, the baby!" and almost crying herself. Then she would go touch his face and say "baby?!" It was so cute!

BNK - bless him (and her!) I hope he stops fighting them soon. It's so frustrating when you know they need the sleep but they don't seem to agree!

Lyn - hope your day got better!

I'm taking M to the dr later. She's mostly ok, but her temperature was 40.1 last night and only got down to 39.8 an hour after giving calpol. Finally cooled her down to 38.8 by stripping her off and putting the fan on. I want them just to check it's not an underlying ear or chest infection, but I imagine she's got what I have. My brother thinks it could be swine flu - But I don't feel bad enough for it to be flu. I still havent got a voice though, so it was fun phoning the NHS for advice last night!

yeah it did lol and the boys arent making my quite so nuts today other than EJ getting under the table then deciding to stand up lol

Cocoa - 40 is quite the fever! I hope she is ok!! Also that you get your voice back soon!! :flowers:

Lynn - that is so funny about EJ trying to stand up under table.

Sam is going through another phase of a weird sleep pattern, he goes to bed fine and then wakes at 1am, 2am, 3am...and then gets up at 6.30am. Can't say it ever gets boring.

I am wondering if any of you ladies has a Maclaren stroller and how they like it? My dad has offered to buy Sam a big gift for his first birthday and I was poking around for a lightweight, sturdy buggy. I like the Quest Sport best.

Julchen - my cousin swears by Mclaren pushchairs for something you can just chuck in the back of the car and go.

So, the Dr listened to M's chest & looked in her ears (which made M cry ALOT) and asked if she'd been tugging her ears (I said 'a bit, not more than usual though') and the Dr said he was prescribing antibiotics - never said what for :dohh:, but I assume it's an ear infection. It would explain why she's been chucking her dummy out and hardly sucking to feed, she just clamps her mouth round my nipple as my letdown happens!

i just picked up a free mclaren on freecycle ive been waiting ages for one or one to come up second hand somewhere ive borrowed 2 and would have brought my own but too broke lol so really happy, they cope with Nate find as well as coping with EJ and recline for his naps which is good, easy to fold but a bit bigger than a standard cheap stroller but worth the added bulk imo shopping baskets are good sized too and good size wheels so they handle parks etc...

Heres some of the stuff i was busy knitting in Dec,
gonna be taking orders for baby hats soon i think as i need some cash lol

im working on a tea cosy for my new teapot at the moment

Lynnikins, they're all gorgeous!! Also, ermm... did you do all of them in December?!
I'm only about a foot square into a blanket I started approx. half a year ago *whistles*

yes i did them all in decemeber the scarf took me a week or so as we were moving house so i was only able to knit a square at a time really the rest i knocked up in less time, the booties took about 6-7 hours total the stripe hat about 2 evenings and the earflap hat took about 4 evenings

Lynn - everything you made is georgous!!!

Cocoa - I am glad the doctor gave M some antibiotics...here is to hoping she is better soon!!

Oh Lynn those are all so cute! I especially love the earflap hat! I want to learn to knit but I don't really know of anyone that can teach me. I can't decide if I want to learn to crochet or knit though.

Those are great Lynn.
I can crochet. I've been working on an afghan for the past 6 years  -- I tend to work on it for about 2 weeks and then take a few years off.
cocoa - I hope M feels better soon.

Lynn- Those are great! I am not creative at all, and can't make anything.
Cocoa- Connor screams when the doctor looks in his ears too! I'm glad you got some antibotics for her, and I hope she is feeling better soon.
JJ- Connor is also greedy with food. Since he has a great pincher grasp, I just cut things up a bit smaller. I also can only give him a few pieces at a time, because he shoves so many in his mouth at once.
BnK- Connor went through two different antibotics before his ear infections would clear up.

Connor is finally feeling better after trying several medications. Since Connor was born, he has always had spells where he sound really weezy when he breaths, but the doctor has never believed me. Well this week it happened while at the doctors office, so she put him on nightly breathing treatments.
Its not too bad, but I have put on Special Agent Oso to get Connor to sit still during it.

We had a really great Christmas and New Year. Connor got spoiled by my family.

Kel-Mika just finished his second antibiotic. He's still kind of rubbing his ears, but when I called the Dr they said to give it a few more days since the antibiotic he was on is only a 5 day course but it stays in his system for 10 days. What kind of breathing treatment is Connor on? Mika hates his nebulizer, but I discovered during his last cold that if I let him take little sips of juice or something that tastes good every now and then during the treatment he does a little better. The treatment itself tastes really gross!

Adorable pics by the way! I thought about getting Mika a pillow pet but he doesn't really like stuffed animals.

cute pics

BnK, when you decide then there are loads of tutorials on youtube to get you started
