march lambs 2010 come on ladies

Well, it was so specific as to not be interseting because I couldn't understand much. They are guidelines for local anaesthesia for intraocular surgery, if that means anything to you! Actually they were a nice group of doctors so it wasn't too bad. I had half an hour to express and eat my lunch in the middle.

Your routine sounds pretty similar to mine actually, when I'm here. There is sometimes milk around 11 as well but last week she was having a long sleep (10ish till 11:30) and skipping that feed. I'm not quite sure what the routine is at childcare but I don't think it would be drastically different. She seems to want 2 lots of milke while she's there though, Or maybe they just give it to her because I supply it to them? Not sure.

I have found Flora in odd positions in the morning sometimes, and occasionally I will hear her crying but she will be asleep by the time I've woken up enough to go through, usually on her tummy where she was standing but just collapsed down. I feel a bit guily but hey ho, just how it goes!

Eewwww - eye surgery! I have a slight eye phobia..... god forbid I wet need to have cataracts or something done. Eurgh!

Sometimes M wants BF around 10-11ish too, but I try and fob her off because she ne'er takes a full feed, just a bit so presume it's more thirst. She still hardly takes anything from her sippy cup, she's just not interested. Her nappies in the morning are so light that I'm starting to worry, but she seems ok in herself so I'm trying to be calm about it.

COCOA - I HAVE AN EYE PHOBIA ASWELL!!!! :haha: how weird!! i have the strangest dreams about eyes that freak me out ! likle getting a paper cutter on one ? *shudders at the thought* . i really hate eyes..... and feet :haha: lol

MM- thankyou :flower: so do i lol but there are alot of babies entered

Tiger - I voted and confirmed :flower:

I once had a dream that a massive eye was bouncing down the road and trying to get me. Gross!

I voted tiger, good luck!

vincent - Lovely video. You're birth was nothing like mine. Gabriel popped out like a champagne cork :haha:

Tiger - I voted! (and confirmed)
I don't have an eye phobia at all. I have had to collect split contact lenses from inside my eye a number of times (specsavers cheapies :haha:) and am quite used to poking my eyeballs now. I imagine a needle in the eyeball would be pretty horrific though. It's why they sedate you first :)

CocoaOne, have you tried giving her drinks through a straw? Eleanor just doesn't do sippy cups, no matter which ones we try, yet can drink perfectly through a straw. Obviously it took about a month to master to the 'perfect' level, but she got there. She also likes sports caps on water bottles, though that's only after figuring out how to drink from a straw. Before that it simply got chewed on.

Eyes... *shudders*
I'd never put on make-up until I was around 19 as I didn't dare go near my eyes. That's just my eyelashes and eye lids. I can do it myself now, but hate hate hate anyone going near my eyes. Had to have paper sticks put in them once to measure how much tear fluid my eyes produce... hell I tell you! It took the poor nurse about 15 minutes to put them in as I kept blinking like mad and she just couldn't manage.

I've also had bloodclots in my eye which required a lot of tests. In the end they ended up dripping the eye drops to dilate my pupils onto my eye lids (when my eyes were closed) and letting it seep in as they just couldn't get the drops in. Honestly, it was a nightmare =( ... a GP and 2 different hospitals having all the specialists put drops in and even worse, put lenses the size of my eye ON my eye. The first doctor actually pushed my head against the headrest (professional or what?) when he got pissed off, so I couldn't pull away. The second one at least had the decency to lie to me about it :haha:

He told me that he'd just go near my eye, he wouldn't touch my eyeball. He'd get really close, but would not go ON it. He also said he'd try his best but he wasn't going to force me as it just wouldn't be worth it. Only after did he tell me he lied and he had actually put it on my eye ... thankfully those numbing drops worked!

Well, that's enough nightmares. I hate eyes... hate them, hate them, hate them. Don't understand how anyone can put lenses on.

Tiger - Voted and confirmed =)
Good luck!

ewwwwww !!! :haha:
thankyou ladies !
erised - when nurses have to put drops in my eyes it takes them forever too. i just cant stand the thought

My OH has an eye phobia too. I don't, good thing since I wear contacts.

what a precious video, pearl... I nearly cried.

GL, I'm the same way with my eyes, I just don't care anymore... I can put my contacts in without even looking in a mirror now, and touching my eye doesn't bother me.

Not much bothers me anymore now that I have a SON. hahaha... it's amazing the messes he can make.

Now, I had to share some pics that my sister took. The first is from when Zander was first born, like only hours old and the 2nd is from his first birthday... it's amazing the difference.

Anyone else want to share birth/birthday photos to compare?

Erised - yeah she only really drinks from a straw cup. She CAN do it, but recently she just knocks it away when I offer it - water or diluted juice. She'll occasionally take a few sips from her free flowing sippy cup too, but very rarely.

well things are getting properly underway here with my sisters wedding tomorrow is her last day before shes married and im not even getting to see her till the evening caus i have to spend some time with other people doing things getting sorted.

How long are you here for Lynn?

I hope its a nice day for the wedding tomorrow

I just nticed that I have recently become a 'chat happy BNB member'... finally after a year and a half I've gone over 1000 posts. Nothing compared to all you addicts though!

Yay well done GL!

I've just looked and noticed that Seity has nearly 10,000!!! Where the hell are you posting woman?! :haha:

I've got a banana loaf baking in the oven. Smells delish!

Hi everyone...

Pearl, I am dying to watch the video after the ladies' comments - hopefully tonight I will have a chance.

GL, Cococa - what do you do for work if you don't mind me asking. I went to school for computer science in medicine, and have been working as a software developer since unfortunately due to visa restrictions not in the medical field (i am in construction and oil). Now that i have my permanent residence i could go and get back into my field but it seems like good jobs are really hard to come by, so whenever I hear someone talk about the medical field I get all excited.

Things are going well...Sam is doing fantastic at the dayhome. He refuses to have his morning nap there because he loves playing with the kids. He has passed out twice now, once eating and once playing. I wish I would have seen it - he has never done that before. On Friday my 7 year old stepdaughter will go with him as she has no school, that is perfect for us, she can be our little spy and tell us all about their day. Sam also gets very upset when we leave.

I hope everyone is doing well?!?

i booked my tattoo today ! :happydance: :yipee:

tiger, love the tattoo! it looks awesome.

lynn, I hope the weather is nice for the wedding. Sorry you have to do so much running around.

julchen, I'm glad Sam likes daycare. :) That's adorable that all he wants to do is play all day. does he sleep well at night from playing all day?

So, Zander had his 1 year checkup this morning *sniff sniff* My baby is soo big... he's 32 inches long, 26 lbs 14 oz and his head circumference is 18 and a quarter inches. 95th % for height, 80th % for weight and 50th % for head.
Where has my baby gone???
