May Munchkins 2019

Flou - Thank you!!!

Sweet - UGH I hear you on that! Even with my prescription (what are you on btw??) I'm still nauseous. I've only actually vomited once (and I really think it was because I had a migrane that day too) but I'm just always feeling sick to my tummy. Then I try to compensate - maybe I need to eat more? It's worse when I'm hungry. So then I do.... I feel like I'm CONSTANTLY eating (even though I have such a hard time finding something at least somewhat appetizing). I'm going to weigh 500 lbs by the time this baby is born! It's soooo bad! :(

NT behind me. We got a great look at the baby, and it all seems great, low risk and all. We get our NIPT results in up to 10 days.

It was super funny when the doctor woke the baby up and he got super upset, kicking and waving his arms.

I can now relax a bit until the next scan. Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Bella so exciting! Super congratulations, I'll keep everything crossed for an amazing scan and super wiggly LO. I'm sorry I couldn't help more, my food aversions are still severe so I tend to play what knock off can I eat :haha: Sorry about the lack of sleep I hope you can make some up soon.

Sweet I'm so sorry hun, that sounds terrible. I hope the MS passes quickly, and the finals aren't too stressful. If it ever gets too much we're here :hugs:

Flou I love both but cant imagine being surronded by the smell. I feel for you momma. Hot chocolate has been a go to for me as well.

Keep in so happy for you amazing scan :happydance: Glad everything came back well and fx you have a smooth rest of your pregnancy. Any gender guess so far?

AFM We have the entire household sick at the moment. It doesn't help that days are 80degrees outside but nights are just above freezing. I can't seem to sleep enough or ever quench my thirst. Food aversions are still kicking my rear, very lucky if a meal a day stays down at the moment. Bloat hasn't left so I'm figuring a may have had a VERY early bump this go. Good thing we came out to family at this point there is no chance in hiding it :haha:

Had my dating scan this morning they have put me back to 10weeks +5 so my due date is now the 18th May.
I also had the NIPT test which should be back in about a week. Given my balanced translocation they are being cautious/thorough and want me to have another scan and see the consultant next Thursday. Its gonna be a long week.

Sporty how far back did they put you? I feel you about the NIPT results, I also had it done at I’m now in the week long fretting period. FX everything goes well!

Sweet, Conundrum, I’m sorry MS is still giving you a hard time :/ Hopefully it will be gone in a few weeks or so.

Flou thanks, I am very happy it all went well.

AFM I told my boss today and it went down OK. I’ the only one in our company specialized in a certain field of research so she wasn’t thrilled at the prospect of having to pay for outside providers again (here, maternity leave is 12 months), but OK. Now, time to tell our friends :)

Thanks Keepin, hope your results go well too.
They put me back three days so not too bad.

BellaRosa, They have me on Ondansetron 4mg. It works maybe half the time I take it. The first week, it worked every time I took it, but then it stopped working as well! My Husband keeps joking about how sick I will be if we have a FOURTH baby. I wasn't aware that such a thing was even an option. The plan was three!!! :haha: I told him I will personally arrange a vasectomy for him.

Awesome scan, keepinitreal!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Conundrum, Thank you so much. I love the support! This has been my sickest pregnancy for sure. It is also the most I have had going on in my life during a pregnancy so I am sure that plays a part in it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope you get good results, sportysgirl!

Sporty I have you updated hun, and congrats on the scan. I hope the next 2 weeks passes quickly for you and your results are amazing

Keepin sorry your boss wasn't more enthusiastic :haha: I hope you have an amazing time telling everyone!

Sweet our plan was 2! I even arranged DHs vasectomy in February but he missed the appointments lol. I cannot complain though. I love my 3 but after this one I am surely done. I feel for you though this one has pushed my limits as well. Just relax as much as you can or whenever you can

Bella how did everything go?

Hi everyone!

Conundrum - I hope your family is feeling better soon, and that your food aversions go away quickly! :hugs:

Sportys - Best of luck next week!

Sweet - LOL at personally arranging a vasectomy  My husband is also considering a fourth. Ideally, we'd have 2 girls, 2 boys, but what are the chances?? Plus I just don't know if I can handle 4.... I'm still having trouble wrapping my brain around 3 :haha:

AFM, everything went well! HB was 179. I have pics that I can attach at another time (not on my computer, but on my phone). I was measuring 8+6, but they're not changing my date (they only change due dates if its 5 days sooner/later at my practice). So my due date stands at June 2nd.

I have to share this one. I just got a call from another project manager in our company (apart from me, there are only 3 others) and she told me she was pregnant - and we are due one day apart.

What are the odds? :dohh:

As I mentioned, maternity leave here lasts for 12 months (1 month before DD and 11 months after birth) so now I can only assume the company will just close for that period or what? crazy.

Keepin - WOW! I WISH we got 12 months here in the US. We get 6 weeks  But I have to say, I can't imagine how companies function while giving employees 12 months off! And you're paid for those 12 months too, right??

I know, it’s the same for me - I cannot imagine going back to work after 6 weeks or so. Do you put the baby in the nursery? And what if you’re breastfeeding? Can you take unpaid leave for longer period of time?

In Slovenia, the time off is paid (first 3 months 100% of your average salary for the past 12 months and next 9 months 80 % - these 9 months can be used by mother or father). Of course - nothing is ‘free’ - this money comes from the government and I’ve been paying into these funds since I started working 10 years ago. I would pay regardless of if I ever had kids or not - basically I’m paying into the social security fund for the entire country. Out of this fund, everyone in the country gets 100% medical coverage for basically just about everything, the maternity funds, pensions etc. So - true Bernie socialism at the finest and in most of the Europe, it works.

And companies manage, with temps, outsourcing and students and such. But I have to admit this will be a tricky one with 50% project managers gone

He missed the appointments! :haha: Goodness Conundrum, you will have to escort him there next time!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BellaRosa, I admire people with a bunch of kids. I fear a full on mutiny too much. :haha: Being held hostage for treats and such. Honestly though, a fourth for us would mean a bigger car and a bigger house and I just don't think we could handle it financially. Housing is expensive where I live. I certainly hope my husband isn't serious about a fourth, the third is barely established!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Keepinitreal, I wish we had maternity leave like that! You get a lot of time to heal and bond with your baby.

Sorry I have been MIA....apparently having a new baby isnt enough for my husband and I as we decided we needed to buy a house too. The perfect house just came up and we put in the offer today. Now is just the waiting game to see if they accept.

Sweet I laughed so much at your response about being held hostage I totally relate :) Honestly, I think two will be more then enough for us.

jlmeans that’s great news - finding the perfect house is so hard! Hopefully the entire process isn’t too difficult on you - do you expect much work will need to be done on the house?

AFM I told one of my best friends yesterday evening and her reaction was priceless. She fretted over me for the entire evening, as DH never does, so it was a nice change. Also, I’m thinking a lot about the upcoming NIPT results and I’m getting more nervous by the day. FX!

Hey everyone, hope everyone is well. I still can’t get used to this new forum and it’s making me not want to use it as much.

I’ve got my 12 week scan tomorrow and I’m 13 weeks + 2 so it’s been a long wait!
My 3 girls have just started a weeks holiday from school and they’re driving me nuts already!!

Good luck to those who’s scans are coming up and hope everyone else has a good following xxx

Yay so happy today as I reached what I think is the 12 week mark. I feel like ive at least reached the first milestone. One more week and second trimester! Scan on tuesday - nervous and excited. Just hoping all is ok.

Good luck for the scan tomorrow Linz.

Congrats on the house jl. I hope the move goes smoothly.

Keepin - I'm a teacher, so I try to plan so my due date goes along with my summer break (I have off from mid-June to late August). Plus, we can take 12 weeks FMLA, but that is unpaid. I'm trying to convince hubby we can swing the full 12 weeks off after summer break... which would mean I'd have off until mid November-ish (if we can swing it). If not, I'll have to go back late August. Unfortunately, I'm probably not even going to get the full 6 weeks of paid maternity leave unless I go early, being due June 2nd.
