Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

emera - poor roh! hope he's better soon :hugs:

amy - glad alex and you are on the mend!

sarah - like emera said i agree that distraction is the best way to deal with tantrums!

just had a cuppa and some biscuits with danny and watched some tv. his mood seems to have passed! maybe coz i gave him some tlc! :haha: am in bed with owen and danny on the sofa. i told him to come to bed but he refused :dohh: he doesnt like 3 in a bed with owen! i know he's making a sacrifice staying on the sofa but i'd rather stay on the sofa and not have to get up once all night than stay in the bed and be woken 10-20 times a night. he doesnt see this though and was moaning about how he's 34 and doesnt even have a bed :dohh: men!!!

morning all!!! off to prepare the soup and desert in advance for tonights meal as my parents and in laws and our sisters are coming round to eat!!! will try to come on here later but in case i dont have a happy new year all of you and here's to a peaceful happy and healthy 2011 :hugs:

i've been playing in the bedroom with the kids. just come into living room to find that OH has smashed one of the new mugs my mum gave me for christmas and to make matters worse there was tea and bits of broken mug on the floor and he hasnt bothered to clean it and is still sleeping :grr::growlmad::grr:

Just a quick one from me, haven't been able to get onto this thread forever!
Hope Roh and Alex are feeling better :hugs:
Sarah, Daisy has done the dropping things and crying/taking things off her crying since probably 4 months? I think she's going to be a handful  if she's dropped it I tend to give it back. If I've taken it off her I give her something else- when I take it I say 'no Daisy, it's not yours' or whatever, the 'no' part is what we're working on
Having NYE at my house tonight. Not a mad one, just my sister and her boyfriend, my mum and stepdad and my brother and either his friend of his girlfriend depending who he feels like bringing (he's 15 )
My Internet gets connected on the 7th so I will be able to use my laptop then, at last!
Happy new year everyone xxx

Frufru - so glad you have Joni's toys back, the remote is a firm favourite in this house despite it looking a lot like toys r us, typical.

Maybe - I had to laugh a little at your friends comment, people do it to me all the time, especially when I'm having an ever so slightly less frumpy day. I am all ready to start as I mean to go on from tomorrow, giving up chocolate and swearing. Which means I have to eat as much as possible today!! :happydance:

Hi Modo sounds like you need a rest, hope you get one soon

Sarah - sounds like you had a nice relaxing day yesterday and done well in the sales, I just can't be bothered. Nor have we got any money left :dohh: Will is also a tantrum king, they seem to have really picked up pace recently too. We are also trying to teach him NO, which he does respond quite well to. Just seems that that is all I say some days though.

Amy - so glad you are back really hope you and Alex are properly back to full health very very soon. Your girls sound like little angels :cloud9:, bless them for being so good. Haven't really tried to brush Will's teeth as such, I have just been letting him suck/chew it. I don't think it'll be favourable when I try though :nope:

Emera - I hope Roh gets better soon, he really has had a hard time bless him. Your chicken recipe sounds great, will definitely give them a try.

Hi Katie, your FB pictures of Daisy's Christmas look lovely x

Meant to say I think Will is begining to come round to the idea of sleeping through.....

Last night I thought we were in for a bad one as he had only slept for 20 whole minutes during the day and was in a right old state by bedtime. He went down super early and woke an hour later, DH managed to settle him. Then....he woke twice in the night but settled himself and then fed at 4 am ish, not bad considering he was too tired to eat his dinner, gutted as it was a gourmet dish of salmon (which we can't even afford to eat). He then slept until 7:45 am....

The night before he had settled himself when he woke at midnight, but was off the sensor and so the alarm went off, we had to switch it of in the end, which meant I spent the entire night awake and worried. I ended up creeping in at 6 am to check he was ok and proceeded to wake him up doh! Fed him and he went right back.

He has been so grumpy the past couple of days and has been refusing to nap, he seems to cry really easily, I hoping it's just his teeth still and that he's not coming down with anything.

:dance::yipee::drunk: HAPPY NEW YEAR :drunk::yipee::dance:

Wishing you all, healthy, happy babies, lots of sleep and more helpful husbands for 2011.

:hugs: to you all xx

I keep trying to get on for a proper catch up but time is such a pesky little begger and keeps running away with me

Sending get well :hugs2: to all poorly babies and Mummies.

2010 has been a really tough year for me and I would like to thank you all for your kindness, friendship, advice and support through times both good and bad. You ladies are all awesome, if I win the euromillions I am buying a big bit of land and building a commune of mansions linked by subterranean tunnels leading to an underground insomni-lair and you are all invited to move in

Wishing you all a very happy new year :hugs: may it be filled with light love and hope

evening ladies!

maybe - hope you have a lovely evening, shame Danny decided to kick it off by smashing a cup and leaving it :grr:

LC - Alex hates having his teeth cleaned :haha: lucky you with Will's sleep! Any sort of routine has gone out of the window with his flu. last night was terrible, he kept having hot sweats and waking every half hour

frufru - interlinked mansions sounds wonderful! :hugs:

Katie - lovely to hear from you, hope you have a great night and not too bad a head tomorrow :hugs:

Well I'd better go, Alex is stirring again. :dohh:

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL - MY CYBER BUDDIES. WE'VE BEEN THROUGH A LOT TOGETHER THIS YEAR :hugs::hugs: I WONDER WHAT 2011 WILL BRING! ????

Happy New Year Everyone!

Thankyou all for your friendship and support in 2010, you all mean so much to me and really have helped me massively through the year. I hope 2011 is a really great year for us all and our babies and families, and I hope that we are all wishing each other Happy New Year on here for many, many years to come - I consider you all genuinely amazing friends and I would be lost without you all :hugs:

FruFru - I'm crossing my fingers for the EuroMillions and starting to pack as I type :haha:

I've had a lovely day to finish off an amazing year :cloud9: My mum and sister came up this morning and we all went shopping, I got some lovely bargains and Oliver was an absolute little star, laughing and giggling and just been gorgeous! I also managed to find some curtains for the lounge, I've been looking for some for ages and I was going to have some made as I had soooo had enough of looking, but I managed to get some today that I love and even better they had 75% off in the sale! :happydance: Steve is at work now so I'm here on my own to see in the New Year. To be honest I'd rather be here with my baby than anywhere else in the world so I'm fine :) I've got some website stuff to do and some ironing :haha:

Love and hugs to you all and your babies, I hope all of the poorly mums and babies are feeling better!

xx

:yipee:HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!:yipee:

What a year! :) I'm so glad to have met you all, its been quite a ride we shared so far, and thanks for being so super all of you :) I wish everyone their dreams in 2011! :hugs:

Sarah, its nice to know i'm not the only one to be home alone tonight! :hugs: I was feeling a bit sorry for myself, especially as Roh just did not want to go to sleep tonight and has only just crashed out! :dohh: I'm sat here with a glass of wine and a slice of christmas cake, and i'm considering running myself a candle-lit bath with lots of bubbles once i'm sure Roh is asleep  I'm glad i didn't plan anything really, as with Roh being ill i would have had to cancel, and then i'd have been really fed up. I'm quite happy just sitting here folding laundry really :)

:hugs: all round! xxx

Emera :hugs: I hope you got your bath! It sounds lovely! I have had a very quiet evening - I did some housework, did some website stuff (so technically that's work, haha!) and I had a bowl of crunchy nut clusters :haha: I'm soooooo rock and roll!! I also had a look at the Office online sale and thought I'd buy myself some shoes, but I can't see anything I like!!

I'm tucked up in bed now, I want to go to sleep but I know Steve will probably call so I guess I should wait. God I'm boring :haha:

goodnight all! it's 3.40am and am off to bed! had a few glasses of wine and a lovely night! all three kids were awake for the fireworks at midnight! catch you all tomorrow! happy 2011 xxx

I hope you are all having a nice New Years Day!! Oliver and I are having a quiet day, Steve is working late tonightt so he's still asleep. Oliver is juat napping and then I'm going to make lunch :)

X

Happy New Year Day! I went to bed last night at 10pm (at least I had some champagne!). Hope you are all doing good xxxx

Evening :hugs:

Hope you all had a good night last night whatever you were doing , and a good day today. Its not been to bad here, Roh is apparently feeling better, mostly as the temperature is very much under control, so he's back up and moving

Only thing is, he's decided that since its 2011 that he'd get straight into progressing, and has started properly cruising today! He's been pulling up for a little while, and taking the odd step, but this is the real deal! He went all the way along the sofa and back again, and then turned round to me and took one falling step and grabbed onto my legs. He looked very proud of himself! He's mastered pulling up totally, and is now reaching previously unreachable places, such as my tea mug, which i thought was safe in the centre of the side table, apparently not! Whilst he was napping today i moved everything i care about to at least 4 feet off the floor :haha: The whole thing is completely terrifying, as he's not very stable or very good at it at all, and keeps keeling over, i've spent most of today following him round with my arms held out, ready to catch him

:hugs:

emera - thats great news roh is on the mend already :hugs: I've been worrying about him after what Alex went through, especially as he's already had bronchiolitus :hugs: and cruising! what a little star

modo - hope you enjoyed your champagne, I had a mini baileys last night :haha:

maybe - glad you all enjoyed your night :hugs: hope you got some sleep!

sarah - hope you had a lovely day :hugs:

We had a lazy day, we went for a walk by the sea and played board games :) I'm feeling so much better but still have a horrible cough and I tire easily. I've also realised I've had no taste sensation for the last week or so because I am really noticing flavours! I can really taste the milk in tea :haha: sorry I am so boring! :haha: It was nice to get fresh air today x

Wow Emera Roh is coming on so fast! Oliver still isn't crawling but he's getting so, so close, I'm making the most of him not been able to do it though :haha: I'm so pleased that Roh is feeling better!

Amy its good to hear that Alex and yourself are on the mend! I felt pretty weak and feeble for a good week after I had flu last year (it is last year now :haha:). I felt better and better each day though, which is always nice :) Are you very close to the coast? Your walk sounds lovely.

I have had a super lazy day :haha: In fact I have to confess that for the first time in months I've spent the day in my PJ's :haha: I've still done all the normal housework, changed the bed, done some ironing, and obviously looked after Oliver aswell as doing about three hours 'work' this evening, but well, it feels like a lazy day. Its been lovely, but I think tomorrow I'll need to get out. I think Oliver and I will go for a nice walk or something, just to get some fresh air.

So has anyone made any new years resolutions? Mine are to use Oliver's reusable nappies more, and to do everything I can to not have to go back to work :haha: Having said that I've also accepted the fact that if I have to go back, it doesn't have to be forever, and that if a few months later I was earning enough doing my own stuff to leave I still could. I'm doing a lot of work to stay home with my baby though, I have my fingers in several pies and I have a LOT of work to do . . . it doesn't really feel like 'work' though so its not so bad.

Hi all sorry havent been on - Happy New Year.

I came down with a sickness bug on Thursday and thought I was just getting over it and now I have started to feel bad again ... thought OH hadnt caaught it but I can now hear him up with it. Just a quick question I am terrified about Amy coming down with it, if she does get it what do I do?

Thanks x x x
