Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Oooo hello girls just noticed this thread!

Hope you all had a great Xmas :hugs:
xx

Hi

Well I have been meaning to post since Christmas.....finally I can, well sort of, Will is stood at the stair gate swinging back and forth like a maniac.

:hugs: to you maybe for your OH, I really hope next Year is a new start for you and that he bucks his ideas up, it's about time. Glad he's ordered the part for the computer though. Hope you had a better night :flower:

Modo loved the photo's and video of Bobby drinking from his cup, he's gorgeous and so clever. Will started doing it recently it's so funny, like a switch goes on and they can suddenly do it.

Furfru yay for bacon sarnies on Christmas day they sound lush and like you had a nice chilled day.

Sarah hope you have got your car sorted. I didn't see your post either but I love your site and think you are wonder woman.

Emera I'm so sorry, I can't remember, was doing so well so just :hugs: for you. Glad you had a nice day in Bath.

Well our Christmas was lovely and Will had so many presents, it's like toy shop, he seemed to enjoy the labels and boxes the most. I cooked Christmas dinner for us and my Mum and little brother, it was lush. I was quite flustered and Will was so tired he ended up eating before us. I had hope we would all eat together, my only regret is that I was in the kitchen all day and everyone else enjoyed Will :dohh: Next year things will be different.....

Will has both his bottom teeth now and I had hoped that we would now get a break and some  but no, it seems worse than ever, up every hour and a half. Not sure what to do, am shattered. Do you think they go through a phase like with rolling over where they wake themselves up doing it?? Hoping that if it is some sort of regression and he's practising his new found skills at night he'll soon get bored. Everytime I go in he's sat up or kneeling up and stuck :dohh:

I need sleep.......

Yay, the wierdo is gone!!! Just for the record there was another post which has been removed - I don't think Modo is wierd, haha!!!!

hey all - really sorry i have been awol the last few days am completly shattered hopefully catch up one Amy is in bed or in the morning. x

Evening all!

L-C I'm sorry you were so busy cooking on Christmas day! Next year its def someone elses turn! Sounds like Will had a lot of fun :) Oliver is also teething really bad at the moment. I also hoped for a break after the first two came but its as bad as ever :(

H&F Hope you had a fab crimbo!!

Thanks to you lovely ladies for your lovely comments after I removed my post last night. I was just been a bit over sensitive I think. One of Steve's friends had come over, he's really good at websites etc and he offered to help me with mine (the wedding one) and help me with a lot of the technical stuff. Which is really, really nice of him and I really appreciate it, but it also ment I heard quite a bit of 'constructive critisism' from Steve and his friend about my website  I think that because I've done it all myself, generally while bouncing Oliver on a knee or feeding him so I think its quite an achievement, I feel quite overprotective of it. And I was actually quite pleased with it  I was quite upset about it last night but I'm better today :haha:

Well I didn't get a great deal of sleep last night - I had Oliver on one side of me teething and Steve on the other, he couldn't sleep and boy did I know about it! He got up, banged about downstairs, put the TV on for a while, came back to bed, huffed and puffed, nicked the duvet, grumbled every time Oliver woke up. :grr: I ignored him :haha: He got up today and didn't mention anything, so I presume he's not so stupid as to complain to me about lack of sleep :grr:

We went to the sales today :dohh: Steve's son wanted to go and spend his Christmas money so we went to the White Rose centre, it was SO busy and the sales weren't even that good! All I bought was a couple of outfits for Oliver in 9-12 months from Debenhams. They were half price and are quite cute, but I'm not sure they were worth battling around the centre for :haha:

When we got home from shopping Steve then went down to London with his friend (the website one). Basically he lives in London and has just left his wife, so they have gone to get all his stuff out of the house while she is at work. I can't say I'm too thrilled about that. Tonight was Steve's last evening off before New Year etc. He's back at work tomorrow. Oh well, never mind

I've just been having a relaxing evening and watching 'One Born at Christmas'. I've eaten quite a few chocolates too :haha:

xx

Hi

Just a quick one from me as I have a poorly baby. He is covered in chicken pox! His sleep has been awful for the past week with multiple wake ups and feeds during the night which I had put down to the appearance of his third tooth but he was really unsettled yesterday. We put that down to all the excitement and overstimulation of Christmas and all the visitors but last night he slept a grand total of 4.5 hours and that was broken sleep over a period of 13 hours. Today he has gradually got more and more of the pox. Poor baby he is covered in calamine lotion and we are giving him Calpol and Nurofen alternately every 4 hours. Tonight so far has been much better as he has only woken two times since he went to bed at 7 and both times he settled quickly, though the second time he had more Calpol.

Oh and what was the weird post that was removed?

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. We had a lovely one and Oliver was a very spoilt boy.

:hugs: for those who need them!

Muddles I really hope that Oliver is better soon! Poor little thing! Do you know where he got them from?

The wierd post was a man, apparently from the US, his post said 'Thanks for the information . . . . ' To be honest i doubt he even read our thread, I think its more likely he was spamming to get his post count up because he posted on all kinds of random threads and then started a new thread about a website called 'Great Dad' saying how amazing it was etc - I presume he has something to do with it. It was very wierd though.

Steve is working this afternoon so I'm wondering what Oliver and I will do with our little selves. What is everyone else up to?

muddles - poor oliver! hope he's better soon poor little man :hugs:

lc - am glad u had a good xmas. i spent xmas eve in the kitchen as everyone was round my place! exhausting! sorry to hear about the rubbish nights :hugs: do u cosleep? thats the only thing that preserves my sanity!

sarah - am sorry you didnt get many bargains in the sales!

owen is full of cold. we all seem to have it except danny but owen has it bad. yesterday i had to alternate nurofen and medised and use ephedrine drops and his nose was still streaming

Sarah glad you are feeling better about your website. It's a shame abou the sales, I went in yesterday and came back without anything. Except a bird poo that landed right on the cosie toes.

Muddles poor Oliver with Chicken pox, that sounds horrible, does the calomine work? It is a good one to get out of the way but this is a little bit early.

Maybe we don't co sleep and I'm a bit reluctant to go back to it because it took me ages to get him into his cot from 5 am onwards. Also he's so active and mobile I think I'd sleep less worrying he'll end up on the floor. May have to if things don't improve. Saying that we had a better night, was only up 3 times and the middle one I didn't feed him just tucked him back in. It's definitely because he can move so much and he wakes up sat up and has realised he can just lay down!

This morning he woke up at 7:30, which I was very impressed with, I must have dosed back off as I could hear him playing. At 8:30 it was quiet, me and OH went in and he was asleep on his front wedged with his head in the top corner bless him. So I can offically say I've had a lay in xx

lc - :wohoo: for your lie in!!!

OH has just woken up and gone to town to get a hair cut so am here with the kids! owen has taken a shine to erin's new barbie and her convertible remote control car :haha:

hi everyone, hope you allhad a lovely christmas.this is just a quickie and I will read everything I've missed and catch up properly soon. Alex and I have flu, its ruined Christmas. I would rather give birth every day than have this. Hope eveyone else is ok.:hugs: xxx

Big :hugs: to you and Alex Amy, hope you get better soon x

Will only slept for about 40 mins today and I have just put him down but there is a lot of noise coming from his room :dohh:

I bought him his first tooth brush and paste today, how grown up!

Argh knackered from work....again! Honestly, even working only 3 days a week, it comes round again sooo quickly, especially with having Christmas in the middle this time, which was lovely, but not massively relaxing!

Amy - Big huge :hugs: to you and Alex, thats so not fun for either of you, i reall hope you are both feeling better soon :hugs:

Muddles - :hugs: for Oliver, poor him having the chicken pox! At least he's too young to really scratch too badly, so heres hoping he won't end up with too many scars. If he's really uncomfy, try wiping his skin with a soft cloth dipped in chamomile tea, and if he gets any spots in his nappy area, you can put a wet chamomile tea bag in there, its really soothing  Hope it passes fast! :hugs:

L-C - Amazing lie in! :woohoo:

We had a nightmare couple of nights on boxing day night and the night after! Roh went to sleep fine both nights at 7.20pm as normal, but then woke up at 8.30pm on the dot both evenings and on the first night didn't go back to sleep until 1am, and then had broken sleep until 5am, when he decided it was time to get up! The second night he was awake until 11pm, then slept again until 3am, and then wouldn't go back to sleep until 7.30am :dohh: I was a bit tired for work this week! I'm really glad i'd made the decision to take monday off (spontaneously, i called in the morning :haha:) and we ended up going to Bath for the day, as OH's best friend was over from Texas and it was the only day he had free, OH was going to go with Roh, but as Roh hadn't slept much i decided to go with him so he could spend time with his friend and not have to take care of Roh. It was nice, but to be honest i could have cheerfully stayed at home, our lunch took over an hour to come after we ordered it, by which time Roh was over tired and needed to sleep, so i had to cancel my order and Roh's and take him for a walk to get him to sleep :( Our train was delayed on the way home, and we had to wait at the station for an hour...its only a 12 minute train journey, so that was annoying. Really glad i'd taken Roh's dinner along with us just in case, as he was going mad by the time we got to the station!

Happily, after the awful 2 nights, Roh has had a couple of quiet days at home with OH, and last night slept from 7.20pm to 7.40am :happydance: fingers crossed he'll stick to that, it was great!! :) I'm looking forwards to a quiet day in with Roh tomorrow sooo much! We can just play and have cuddles all day, and not have to see anyone or go anywhere!

On a separate note, i'm feeling a bit nervous knowing there is a murderer about here. I've started walking along the main street to get home rather than the shortcut i usually take from work, Joanna Yeates lived just a few streets away from me. Its quite scary when they are talking about all your local shops and stuff on the news. That poor girl, and her family :(

wow emera that is scary! definately stay away from the beaten track! i hope they catch the murderer soon. we have been hearing about it on sky news. christmas will never be a cheerful time for her parents :nope:

Oh my goodness Emera I was going to ask if that was anywhere near you! Its so awful :( I hope they find whoever did it soon - I think you're doing the right thing sticking to main roads etc. It must be a real worry :(

I'm glad Roh's sleeping has been better after two horrible nights!! Fingers crossed he keeps up the good sleeping!! I hope you have some lovely days off!!!

Argh, Steve just came home from work and has woken Oliver up :grr:

Settled again :haha:

Amy :hugs: I'm sorry to hear that you and Alex have colds :( I hope you are both feeling better soon!!

Maybe I hope Owen's cold goes away soon!!

L-C Oliver loves getting his teeth brushed :haha:

Oliver and I had a lovely day today, Steve worked so we went down to my parents in Sheffield. He was so good in the car - on the way down he looked out of the window for ages and then fell asleep, on the way home he was asleep before I got out of the village :haha: We had a really nice time.

Well I really fancy a takeaway so I'm hoping Steve is going to pop out and get one. I think his friend is coming over too. Since he's just left his wife and moved back to the area I imagine we might be seeing quite a lot of him :dohh: His wife sound like an absolute nightmare but I might be trying to talk him into going back to her soon :haha:
