Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Hi all -

Yay Emera for the home birth - I really hope everything goes smoothly.

Sarah - I really hope Steve understands PCT is at yours far to often. To be honest I get annoyed if anyone turns up without calling first and would be really annoyed if someone kept coming around especially if Dave was supposed to be heading to bed for work. Hope having a chat with Steve is successful.

Mork- glad your scan went well.

Modo - how are you getting on?

Well we all have a flu bug thing and have been off colour for the last few days but starting to pick up now ... just cant breathe through my nose. I am very excited that it is only just over a week till my gender scan! I also trimmed Amys hair today, its not very even but it looks alot neater as her hair isnt very long it just sticks out everywhere.

Hope everyone is ok x x x x x x

Hi

Emera - great news!!!!

Sarah - hope it goes well addressing the PCT issue, have some buttons on the ready!

H&F - Hope you all feel better soon.

Well I don't have to work past 10 pm anymore yippeee. I'd love to take early mat leave, but I think I can just about do it and I don't want to miss time after the baby's here. Luckily I can speak to the medical officer and reduce my hours if things get any worse, so I think that's the plan.

My Mum is up tomorrow to watch Will sat pm, which will be nice she's not seen Will for a month, the longest yet xx

Hello lovely ladies

Mork yay for your bouncing baby but what a cheeky little monkey not letting them do the scan properly.

Emera do you find yourself waking at the slightest noise now, listening for the padding of little feet running down the hallway? I know I do whilst H is blissfully unaware and snoring! That's fab your home visit went so well, hope this GTT is your last!

Sarah PCT needs to get a life of his own instead of taking over yours! I watched the OBEM I couldn't believe how good the woman with twins was, and how teeny her bump was. I am a bit behind with Call the Midwife but enjoyed the ones I have watched so far.

Modo how are you? Oh a 3D scan, they look so cool, must be great getting a sneaky peak of what your baby is going to look like.

H&F hope your house is germ free very soon! Yay for your gender scan. Have you got a bump yet? I feel massive already, though not first thing in the morning but by nightime woah there is no mistaking the baby bump whereas if someone sees me in the morning they probably just think I am fat!

L-C that's great you don't have to work after 10 anymore and don't have to use any of your maternity leave yet. Have a nice time with your Mum tomorrow. Oh and I'd have smacked that woman who was rude to you! I always like to think i'd come back with some witty retort but knowing me I'd probably just cry. Hope your friend's LO is ok now, how scary.

Maybebaby I obviously haven't gone back enough pages to see a post from you but hello  hope you are well.

As for us I saw a friend I used to work with this morning which was lovely and this weekend I am going to a baby shower.

Muddles, I'm sleeping so badly that I've either been awake already or haven't woken up at all and woken to Roh trying to peel my eyes open! Ouch! :haha:

up since 5:40 am - lovely!!! made carot and courgette muffins and done copious amounts of washing. Then a 10 hour shift later lol Happy Days.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!!! Muddles enjoy your baby shower xx

L-C woah early morning!!! I love that you've been so productive though! Hope you have a good shift later :hugs:

I thought I'd be having a nice relaxing weekend but that's not happening :haha: I got a phonecall yesterday asking if I'd like to do a wedding fayre tomorrow, the person they had doing chair covers had pulled out at the last minute due to childcare issues and they really wanted someone there dong chair covers so they offered me the place for free! :happydance: I don't usually do wedding fayres because they are expensive and I can spent that money better doing online marketing but for free I wasn't going to say no :haha: So I need to get everything ready, so much to do! I was up until 1am making a centrepiece and finishing a felt flower and button bouquet which is soooo cute! I have quite a few new things so I'm really looking forward to seeing people's reactions when they see them :) I've woke up today though with a cough and feeling a bit crap, and Oliver has snuffles :dohh: iHe seems fine though and I've had paracetamol, I'm sure I'll be fine. It doesn't feel like a cold so maybe its just a bit of a virus.

Right, loads to do so I'd better get on! I'm going to attempt making a marshmellow tree centre piece later

Sarah: That's a great deal  Hope the Wedding Fayre goes well!

H&F: I'm doing ok hon :hugs: Thanks for asking :hugs: How are you doing? Hope you are all feeling better.

LC: Great news about the end of ten hour shifts hon! It must be exhausting :hugs: What an early morning!

Muddles: I am doing fine hon! Thanks for asking :hugs: Really looking forward to the scan :) Hope the baby shower went well :D

Ok, I'm all done with being pregnant now! I keep getting contractions and back ache at bedtime every night, they aren't going anywhere and just keep me awake. I'm soo tired! I wouldn't mind if it was achieving something!!

Sarah wow short notice on the fayre but a good opportunity! :) good luck getting everything done! :hugs:

Roh has developed some weird obsession with Mr. Maker  he wants to watch it all the time and just shouts "maker maker maker shape shape" at the tv all the time! :haha: Random! Its not like we've ever watched it much, I think its just because we started showing him about colours and shapes? Anyway its stressful because he gets upset about it and its not available on iPlayer  He just doesn't get that I don't control what's on tv at any given point, wish I could!! :haha:

:hugs: to all of you, hope you all have a nice weekend!

So much for 10 pm finish, got away at 11 pm duh! DH left me to sleep until 8 though, which was so nice as Will was up at 6 am.

Only 23 shifts to go!

Hope you've all had a good weekend x

I'm at the wedding fayre, I can't decide if I want it to be quiet so that I can just sit quietly and read my book or be busy so it goes faster :haha: Mum and Dad have taken Oliver for the day and I'm missing him already :dohh:

I was in bed for 9pm last night, it was lovely :haha: Still feeling pretty ill but as long as I keep taking my paracetamol I'm okay :haha:

Hope everyone has a good Sunday!

Thanks Emera! How are you? Did you have your GTT yet? I might have missed an update :dohh:

Sarah: Hope you feel better soon :hugs:

Emera: Hope everything is ok :hugs:

LC: That's really annoying that you couldn't leave till 11 pm :( Seriously can no one cut you a break there :growlmad:

We went to the park today and it didn't got too well. First Bobby insisted on DH carrying him the whole time, which he doesn't mind doing but defeated the point of expending his energy. It was muddy so I kept slipping! Then B had a meltdown when we were pretty close to the playground so we had to head back to the car, except it was much tougher for me as it was all uphill and I started to feel sick. Bobby then has a tantrum by the food stand because he was hungry. The queue was already long but I stood in it while DH watched Bobby (he had the harder job!), finally got Bobby some food and DH went to the car while I paid. Then I couldn't remember where the car was so I called DH only to hear Bobby having tantrum number 3 in the car. DH yelled at me because I couldn't hear him and I eventually found him and got into the car. The whole thing really sucked :dohh: Neither of us had wanted to go out in the first place but we did it for Bobby's sake :dohh:

Argh Modo that must have been so frustrating :dohh: I hope you do something nice and tantrum free this afternoon :hugs:

I am now totally full of cold :dohh: it didn't come on like a cold but urgh I feel dreadful now and I'm sure I look a fright :haha:

Emera I was just reading back and bless Roh with his mister maker obsession! If Oliver watches Thomas he shouts 'more Thomas' until I put another one on :haha: I have the old ones on a hard drive that I play through the TV so it plays one after the other. To start with he cries when one goes off until the next one starts :haha:

Oh Modo! :hugs: Hate it when things go pear-shaped like that! Have a relaxed afternoon! :hugs:

Sarah - Poor you :hugs: At least its not flu, and its a cold. :hugs:

And yes i had my GTT on friday, i get the results tomorrow  Fingers crossed they are clear!

Oh, and 38 weeks today!

Emera that's so true, Flu is horrible, I can deal with a cold :haha:

Fingers crossed for your GTT results! Wow 38 weeks! Exciting stuff!

Its pretty exciting :) I feel a bit like a ticking timebomb though :haha: I'm finding this so weird, i've never had to do this waiting bit before! I was all expecting this one to be early too, so i sort of feel overdue, if that makes sense?

Oliver sounds cute about Thomas the Tank Engine ;) Roh won't go to bed without "Tomo" these days, then we have to sneak in and take the damn thing out of the bed, because otherwise it pokes him in the face and wakes him up :haha: What i find most amusing is he has a multi story car park thing, and all the cars have to be lined up on the first story, and then all his trains go on the top story! If its not set up right he gets a bit annoyed and sort of huffs and rearranges everything! :haha:

Hi all -

Sarah - hope the wedding fayre is going / went ok! Its horrible feeling ill I have had a flu like cold thing this week and we are all just getting over it!

Emera - 38 weeks! wow I feel barely pregnant compared to you! I hope your GTT results come back ok.

Modo - we keep having days like that with Amy, we took her for a walk today and took some lunch with us ... she started walking and then went in the carrier. I thought it was all going well until she wanted to come out the carrier again and then refused to walk as she just wanted mee to carry her. In the end I out her back in the carrier with some raisins and it kept her quiet for a little while! She is asleep now!

Muddles - I am feeling a bit better now how are you? ... I havent got a bump yet but my stomach is rock solid in the morning, by the eveing though I just look like I have eaten to much!

Maybe - How are you getting on?

L-C - Not too many shifts left to go ... hopefully you can finish at 10 more though it must be really hard to stay later, I struggle to stay awake after 9 ish!

Amy - hope your ok x x x

Hope everyone is alright, I am just off to start on dinner ... we have changed our evening routine, just wondering how many of you eat after little ones are in bed or do you eat with them. We have decided to try eating together as I am just to tired to make two meals every night at the moment and it might help to vary Amys diet a bit!

H+F Roh eats at about 4.30-5pm. I moved it forwards as he wasn't eating well due to getting too tired, so we don't eat with him, except I usually have a little snack with him, as he eats better if I eat too if you see what I mean? Anyway to avoid cooking twice Roh usually has whatever we had the night before. Poor child living off of leftovers, but like you I just can't face cooking twice! Either that, or I'll do a stew/curry/chilli and then Roh will have some and I'll reheat it for our dinner later. Was good before when he ate at 6pm ish as we could eat together. This way makes bedtime much easier though, so its worth it!
