Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Hey ladies :)
Sarah - hope it went well and you are feeling a bit better x
OMG Emera, where did 38 weeks go?????!!! Hope you arent kept waiting too long :)
H&F - Glad you are feeling better. T eats at 5 and i eat with her (DH doesnt get in from work before 7.30 so she is in bed by then), on the days when he is home, we all eat together. Hope your plan works out x
I am so bad at remembering what everyone has written, so will have to say hi to everyone else - hope you are all ok.
xxxx

emera - so glad you're looking like you're on track for getting your home birth! hope the GTT results are good!

LC - hope your shifts are ok :hugs:

sarah - hope your cold gets better soon!

h&f - i eat when kids are in bed! occasionally we'll eat together but that is on a weekend when i have more time. we dont generally all eat the same, especially as i'm on ww!

muddles - how was the baby shower? are you going to have one? i have had 3 kids and not 1 baby shower!!!

modo - sorry your trip to the park turned into a nightmare. it's so annoying when you force yourself to do something nice for the kids and it ends up backfiring!

mork - how's things? are you working? i know at one point you were considering not working but i cant remember whether you gave up or not!

well i've been full of cold all weekend. i was sooooo ill yesterday but i had to take Dylan to his 1st Beavers parade. god i felt awful but it was nice to see him :) then the kids had a bday party at 4.30 so my mum and sis took pity on me and took them. i ended up shivering and aching on the sofa. today i feel better but still full of cold and back to work tomorrow. mum and dad took the kids out late morning and took them for some lunch and then brought them back about 3pm so i had a chance to have a bit more sleep. owen has been touching his ear so i am hoping he's not coming down with another ear infection! all 3 have a horrid cough, like me! dan has been ill too but is better but he couldn't do much to help this weekend as he's been on nights and so has slept during the day. yesterday he did bath the kids for me though and load the dishwasher. he saw i was really sick i think! :haha: the flat looks like a bomb has dropped on it though as i feel dizzy if i bend down. the cleaner comes tomorrow for 3 hours but i am embarassed at the state it's in. she must think i'm a right pig  have tidied up a bit but still feeling rubbishy to do too much. have 2 piles of books to mark now :dohh: haven't gotten a full nights sleep either which doesnt aid in getting better quick. mum reckons i should do to the dr and get signed off for a few days but i hate missing work as as we're a small school we have no float teachers so if someone is off we have to double up classes and/or people miss their non-contact periods.

Oh maybe, you really do sound poorly hon. Maybe a few days off would be a good idea, I understand about your loyyalties to work but surely better to take a few days now rather than have a total crash and potentially need a lot longer? Big hugs to you, hope you are on the mend soon xxxx
Are you still bfing?
Yes i am working at the moment, only pt thankfully. I am getting really excited about the baby now that i am getting lots of kicks!! However, I am so worried about coping with 2 - but thats normal right?????
xxx

Mork - I think thats pretty normal, yes!! I'm a little nervous, but i just keep thinking everything will be ok, as the newborn will be pretty easy compared to a bonkers toddler, right? And then by the time the 2nd one is a toddler, the older one will be practically in school, so they won't be home for the whole day.....

I'm sure its going to be a challenge, but sooo many millions of people cope i figure it must be doable! :haha:

Hi

I hope you are all well, it's been very quiet in here. We've had a good day or so and today we have swimming and food shopping, hopefully we won't bump into horrible lady from last week.

My friend is popping over this afternoon with her new baby, can't wait xxx

Mork I'm absolutely bricking it about having two! But Like emera says it must be doable xx

Well I'm all clear for a home birth  also had my official weigh in yesterday an I've gained 8kg this pregnancy, and I've managed to only gain 3 points on my bmi. The MW said I should be proud of myself :) I really am seeing as I gained about 35kg with Roh! :haha: so yeah, all good news here. Had 5 hours of painful regular contractions on Monday, but everything randomly stopped and hasn't showed any sign of starting up since. Well, still getting random strong contractions, but been getting those for a while now. o never had this last time, so I've no clue what the start of labour is like as my waters just broke last time so it was pretty obvious! Guess I'll find out before long! :haha:

Hope you are all well! :hugs: xxx

Wow emera that's brilliant news on the home birth, well done on the weight too!!! I stood on the scales yesterday for the first tiume, been in denial, I've gained two stone already, so need to start watching it, given up chocolate for lent which should help, seeing as it's my main intake lol.

With Will I had coontractions like that on the monday that only stopped for a few hours then they steadily got worse over the next two days, my waters went wednesday night and I had him Thursday. They are all so different, could be any time now xxx

Emera that's great news aout your homebirth! My labour started with my waters breaking too so I'm no help I'm afraid :haha:

Well it turned out I did have Flu :dohh: I was in bed for most of Monday feeling absolutely shocking - Flu is so horrible! And now I'm just starting to feel better and Oliver has it :dohh: I'm really struggling to keep his temp down, he's so hot bless him :( He's doing great drinking liquids and things but I really feel for him :(

Oh Sarah poor you! :hugs: hope you both feel better soon xxx

Emera: yay for the homebirth!!!!! So happy for you :hugs: I have no idea about contractions as I was induced at 39 weeks.

Maybe: hope you feel better hon :hugs:

LC: hope the swimming lesson went well!

Hi all -

Emera - yay for the home birth and huge congrats on not putting on alot of weight that really is amazing! I am on the scales every night I think weight watchers has made me paranoid saying that though I am eating like a horse so why on earth I am shocked when my weight goes up is beyond me! - My contractions just suddenly started and came every 5 minutes or more often and really intense from the start, my waters broke about 5 mins before she came out so I think I am like the woman on OBEM waters break and baby shoots out!

Sarah - oh no hope you feel much better soon. I really think its going round at the moment we have all been ill and my mum and nan have had it (although dad who has the weakest immune system out of everyone at the moment as managed to avoid it!)

L-C - hope shopping and swiming went well. How is your pregnancy going?

Mork - I am nervous about having two but I am sure it will be fine and Amy seems to be excited about having a baby in the house ... I wonder how she will react to the baby coming but not leaving again!

Modo - How are you?

We have had a nice quiet day - my mum came over and we went shopping and I have just put Amy down for a nap - although it doesnt sound like she is sleeping! I am also very excited as we have our gender scan booked for Saturday! Cant wait to find out although I am now pretty sure its going to be a boy!!!

Hope everyone is ok x x x

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is okay! Its been quiet in here for a few days, I hope you are all doing okay :hugs:

I am thoroughly fed up  Oliver and I are getting better now but still feeling pretty off it. I haven't been out of the house all week and I just need to get out for a walk or something, but I can't take Oliver on my own because I keep going dizzy  Steve went to see Derren Brown last night (I had to miss it, I didn't feel up to it and my mum would have been baby sitting and she's still pretty unwell) So he took PCT instead. It would have been my first night out in almost a year and I was so looking forward to it. I know these things can't be helped but it still sucks

Edited - I'm such a winge :dohh:

:

Oh Sarah I am so sorry you are feeling miserable :hugs: Can you try talking to Steve about it? Do you think he would listen?

H&F: I am, ok thanks for asking hon :hugs: Just watching a bit of TV before going to pick up B from nursery at 12pm. When is your gender scan hon? Glad you had a nice time with your mom :)

Aww Sarah - I am sure he does want to spend time with you. Dave seems to think 'family' time involves us all sitting in front of the TV! Maybe try and talk to him about how you feel because its not fair for you to feel like that. HOpe your feeling better soon.

Modo - my gender scan is tomorrow! I am far to excited although I am still fairly sure we will be having a boy and therefore ebaying my new pretty pushchair!

Well we are having a nice day - we went to Joe Jingles music class this morning and then for a coffee, now we are just chilling as Amy has a couplle of friends coming over this afternoon and I am going for a meal out with friends tonight I think its the first time I am going out since August and the first time I have completly left Amy for about a year so looking forward to it although I know I will be ready for bed at 9!

Sarah :hugs: Honey you HAVE to talk seriously with Steve about how you are feeling! Make sure you aren't feeling angry when you do though, and stress to him that even if he's not doing anything wrong its still how you feel and that you are really lonely! Ask for his help and a bit of TLC. :hugs: in my experience I you approach these things like you have a problem and you need them to help you, rather than saying you feel neglected and that they've done something wrong, then its very dsarming, and stops them getting defensive. So its more constructive. I know with my OH if I say to him, you aren't making any effort to spend time with me, then he's immdiately aggressive because he thinks I'm being critical. If I say to him, I'm feeling really lonely and down, could we spend some extra time together because no one makes me happy like he does, then his ego gets a massage and he feels like the big protective one! Basically not quite saying it how I is, but it gets the right result! :)

Also, when you and Oliver and your mum are feeling better why not just plan a night out maybe to the cinema and a nice meal, just for no reason, and have your mum stay with Oliver, so you both can have a night out together? :hugs:

I hope you feel better (in all respects) soon :hugs:

H+F ooh gender scan tomorrow! exciting!

I'm 39 weeks on sunday!! I'm sooo bored! :haha:

Thankyou ladies, you're all lovely :hugs: :hugs: I'm feeling a bit better. We've had a nice afternoon. I've got a shocker of a headache mind you, I think I'm still dehydrated :dohh:

Morning Ladies!

Emera - I cant believe you are 39 weeks! how exciting!

Sarah - glad you had a nice afternoon - hope your feeling a bit better today. the bug we had took a while to shift but we are all pretty much back to normal now!

I am so excited about our scan today ... more to see the baby again! But we arent actually telling anyone we are going for the scan so the gender is going to be kept a secret .... if I can keep my mouth shut!
