Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Phew, exciting night!

Finally my girly arrived!

Had about 1 hour 10 mins of labour and she arrived about 5 mins before the midwives so OH had to deliver her, which was mad and a bit scary as she was born with the waters intact! 7lb 15oz born at 3.56am, Freyja Lynn is just perfect! :cloud9:

Congratulations hon!!!!!! :happydance::happydance::happydance::happydance::happydance::happydance::happydance::happydance:

Such great news and so glad she is finally here:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Yay yay yay ... huge congratulations!!!! What a beautiful name! and a super quick labour ... well done to you and your OH for delivering her!

Hope everyone is ok x x x

No idea why but i have been trying to post this reply for around an hour but it wont let me for some reason. Hopefully when it does it wont appear about 20 times!

Emera Yay! :happydance: What a quick labour, how long was labour with Roh? That is amazing that your H delivered her, though I imagine, very scary at the time. The midwives faces must have been a picture when they arrived and saw they were too late  Hope you are feeling good and Freyja was kind to you on her way out. Congratulations to you and your H. What does Roh make of his new sister?

Emera - congrats on your gorgeous girlie! how's roh taking to her?

LC - if OH wants the dog he should clean up all the messes he makes! i would never have a pet. i have let dylan have some silkworms........hmm actually they may need fresh leaves.........

i'm shattered. tomorrow after school we have parents afternoon/evening from 3.30-8ish! exhausted already. sorry for not replying individually to you all but sending you all :hugs:

Awww Freyja is so sweet :cloud9: Roh is fascinated and is intent on giving her quite damaging cuddles all the time! :haha:

Awww Emera you sound all loved up :cloud9: She is gorgeous, and it sounds like you had such a wonderful, natural birth. Perfect!

We were having lunch today and I told Steve that Freyja had been delivered by her Daddy (which he thought was very cool lol!). Then he said oh so they have baby number two now? So I said yes, and that most of you ladies are expecting baby number two, so he said awwww, don't you feel left out? So I said erm no, not really, and he said 'Well why don't we have another' I got the impression from the conversation after that (which included Steve saying to Oliver 'Should mummy have a baby? You'd like a baby wouldn't you? etc :haha:) that he's more broody than I am

Lol Sarah it's funny that a man is more broody :haha: are you going to grant his wish?

Yay BNB is back - i have been bored witless these past two evenings!!!
Emera - congratulations!!!!!! she is gorgeous :) I am so envious of your labour!!!!
Muddles - I am so with you on getting fat, I have been trying to work out which of my swimsuits looks least awful as i need one for next week - think i will just close my eyes and hope it makes me invisible - till i cause a tidal wave at the pool!!!
Sarah-ooooohhhhhhhh, do tell, arent you a little bit tempted to go with steve's baby plan?!!!!
everyone else - hi, how you doing?
I'm off to check other threads to see what else i have missed whilst bnb has been down!
xx

BnB has been so frustrating!!

Congratulations, emera, she is adorable!

Mork, you can't look worse than me in mine at the moment, even a spotty teeenage boy laughed at me in Sainsbury the other day as he said not long to go!! I was like yeah!!

Gosh, now we have one baby born, it is making my impending baby feel more real. Am I next?

Hope you are all well, I have three days in work now, still only 13 to go. Had my 31 wk apt today and all good although breach - still early thankfully xx

Sorry very quick post from me this evening! We are super stressed with Daves dad ... he isnt improving very much and still cant use his right hand side. We are also super stressed about money so I need to start budgeting otherwise we are going to be in trouble.

Hope everyone is ok x x x

L-C, I think you are next!!! eeeeekkkkk!!!! Hope baby turns xx
H&F - i can empathise as my fil is still in hospital too as no feeling on his left side :( hugs xx

H&F - :hugs:

LC - Yay to a work countdown. Freyja was breech until about 36 weeks i think ;)

Sarah - :haha: Steve is funny ;) Are you going to bend to the broody pressure??? :D

Muddles - In answer to your other questions from your last post. My labour with Roh was about 3 hours, and my waters broke right at the start. So this one was different and much quicker. Although saying that i had been having contractions for about 30 hours, but uncomfortable rather than painful, and sporadic, no pattern at all. I could sleep through them etc. It was a little bit scary when i realised that the baby was coming, but actually it wasn't too bad once i knew there wasn't a choice, and my OH was soo amazing, we just both got me into a good position and he told me what was happening so i could decide how hard and long to push for. It can't have taken more than 3-4 minutes to push her out, maybe 3 contractions? OH said afterwards he could tell before i said anything, because i totally changed from how i'd been with the contractions and he knew i was in transition. He was brill, and once her head was out he had to tear the waters open as she was trying to move them with her hands, and then she cried right away once she was all out :) OH just stuck her right on my chest and threw the closest towel over her and called 999 as i said we should get anyone medical there asap just incase. He just went to unlock the front door talking with the 999 operator and the midwives were coming down the stairs, so they missed it by about 2 minutes :haha: I apologized alot, because i knew that the student midwife they had it was her first ever birth she was attending, and i felt really bad she'd missed it! Doubt she'll forget it anyhow! :haha: Also, really happy i had one small 1st degree "nick" that didn't need anything doing to it  A small warning though, the afterpains are sooo much worse the second time! Oof! Feeding last night it was really hard to stay still. Paracetamol, ibprofen and a hot water bottle are great though

Hi All! Long time no see... Well, actually - I see some of you on FB, but its been a while since I've poked my head in here. Glad to see that this thread I started nearly 2 years ago is still going strong. Sorry I have been MIA....

First of all - I'd like to say BIG CONGRATS to Emera. That is an AMAZING birth story, and Freyja is just gorgeous, and I love her name!

Also - Congrats to the rest of you that are expecting! I read through the last couple pages and see there are a lot of you! - Mork, Hope, L_C, modo, muddles! WOW! I feel a little left out!

I've been fighting the baby-fever myself quite a bit lately. Wouldn't dare mention it out loud to my dh! Not sure how he'd react if I did. We both have joked about it in the past - but its been strictly joking! Don't see it happening any time in the very near future! But so excited for all of you! My sister is due to have her first baby in about 3 weeks... so maybe I can get my newborn baby satisfaction through her! They just don't stay tiny for long enough!

I can't believe Dillon is going to be 2 next month! How have 2 years passed so quickly?
I feel like I blinked!

This is such a fun age though - don't ya think? Dillon just says the most adorable things... his vocabulary has EXPLODED recently. I swear he knows everything! My little genius! LOL.

And my older one - Logan's gonna be 6 soon! SIX! How the heck did that happen????????

Anyhow - not much to report... just wanted to say hello to everyone. I will try to get on here more often! ((hugs)) to you all!

LM: Great to hear from you hon :hugs: Great to hear that everyone is doing well :) Good luck to your sister! I can't believe I am almost 30 weeks now. It really goes so much faster the second time :haha:

Emera: wonderful birth story! Your DH was amazing :D I am sure the student MW will never forget your birth :haha: Too bad she missed it!

Mork and H&F: I hope your FILs are ok and things start getting better :hugs: It must be so tough for your families :( :hugs:

LC: I do bet you are next! How exciting!!! My last appointment was at 27 weeks and my next one isn't until 34 weeks. Are your MW appointments more frequent? My baby was also still breech when I had my 3D scan at 27 weeks but I have no idea if they have moved.

Mork & H&F I hope your FIL's start improving soon :hugs: :hugs:

LC yay for only three more shifts!!! I think you are next!!

Hi LogansMama! :hi: Hope you are well! Oliver is the same with his words - he suprises me every day! I do love this age :)

Emera wow your birth really does sound great! Sounds like your OH is a bit of a star too! I heard that about the after pains ...hope they start getting better soon!

I'm not sure about agreeing to Steve's plan :haha: All the hard work would be for me to do - he would still get his lay ins and his nights out and his time to see his friends. I'm feeling like more of a nanny / cleaner than a wife as it is. Plus I would still have a business to run, I think I would get maternity allowance so I could take a few months 'off' but it all just seems like an impossible amount of work. I'm sure its not, and I'm sure I'd be fine. I think I just need to think about it a bit more.

Wow Emera what a fab birth story, you did so well! Your H sounds like an absolute superstar! I was trying to imagine my H in that situation and the only image that kept popping into my head was me having to phone an ambulance for not only me, but for my H who would have passed out and cracked his head open on the floor  Have to admit it does worry me now as my labour was 3h 49m and we only just got to hospital (35mins later I was holding my boy) so I really could end up pictured on the front of the local paper for giving birth in the lobby/car park of the hospital!

LM Lovely to see you, though do always see the pictures you add on FB, your kids are so cute! Totally with you on the vocabulary thing, I really have to watch what I say now!

LC I bet you can't wait to finish that third shift!

Maybe Hope parents evening went well, I really don't miss that side of teaching! Don't remember if I asked or not did you have a good weekend away?

Sarah That's sweet that Steve is so broody. Do you see yourself having another LO in the future? I guess the other thing is that you are super busy with your new business so prob want that properly established before having another baby.

Mork and H&F Hope your FIL start to improve soon. :hugs:

We have our 20 week scan next week and wasn't going to find out the sex but now am tempted. I have been thinking this baby is a girl but then I had a dream that we had the baby and depsite not finding out at the scan we dressed it in girl's clothes then a nurse came and asked what we were going to call him and we said but it's a girl then when we checked sure enough our baby 'girl' was actually a boy so now thinking of finding out.

Emera - what a brill birth story it sounds so nice and she arrived so quickly! I am hoping my labour is nice and quick again this time as last time I was only officially in active labour for 25 mins! Hope your all doing well. x x x

Sarah - its so funny steve is more broody than you! Dave was wanting another but I definately wanted it more. You are doing so much at the moment you will know when the right time is for you!

Maybe - work sounds so busy at the moment - hope your ok and parents evening went well.

LC - You will be finished work in no time! I bet you cant wait to be done! Are you ready for the baby?

Mork - how is your fil? Daves dad hasnt made any progress yet - its going to be a very very long and slow process the major problem for us is he is two hours away so a 4 hour round trip and it takes even longer if we pick Daves mum up on the way and she cant drive.

Muddles - how are you getting on? wow 20 week scan already! ours should be the week after next but we are away so wont be until I am 21 +3 I think! I love knowing the sex and so far other than you guys no-one knows that we are having a girl so it is very funny my mum talking about loads of boys names and I have to go along with it! I hope your 20 week scan goes well!

Well we are ok - I am getting lots of stretching pains but definately not looking pregnant yet ... I just look like I have eaten to much (I have also eaten too much so that isnt helping and I just feel like a fat whale at the moment). I am also leaving Amy properly for the first time on Saturday - this will sound really silly! - but I am really worried about it! She has stayed with my mum before but only for a short amount of time and she is always asking for me when I am not there ... but we need to practise for when I go into labour and we really need to go up and see Daves dad so my mum and dad are having her all day Saturday and then we are all staying at theirs on Saturday night but I am already anxious about leaving her. Sorry for that long post just me being silly again!

muddles - yes we had a lovely weekend :)

LM - i know where has the time gone? Dylan will be 7 in November! 7!!!!!! eek!

h&f - how's Dave's dad?

Sarah - yeah i agree we women get stuck with the harder part of parenting! when you're ready for another you'll know!

LC and modo - Owen was breech til 37wks!

Emera - how's things going. Are you bf?

Mork - hope your FIL gets better soon :hugs:

Thank god it's the weekend at last. Have been baking cupcakes this afternoon for a fun day we're having to raise money for the children's ward and to start a new charity/support group for stillbirth/miscarriage and early parenthood support.
check out the video made to raise money. My slide is the 3rd one in :)
