Steve is funny
Are you going to bend to the broody pressure???
Muddles - In answer to your other questions from your last post. My labour with Roh was about 3 hours, and my waters broke right at the start. So this one was different and much quicker. Although saying that i had been having contractions for about 30 hours, but uncomfortable rather than painful, and sporadic, no pattern at all. I could sleep through them etc. It was a little bit scary when i realised that the baby was coming, but actually it wasn't too bad once i knew there wasn't a choice, and my OH was soo amazing, we just both got me into a good position and he told me what was happening so i could decide how hard and long to push for. It can't have taken more than 3-4 minutes to push her out, maybe 3 contractions? OH said afterwards he could tell before i said anything, because i totally changed from how i'd been with the contractions and he knew i was in transition. He was brill, and once her head was out he had to tear the waters open as she was trying to move them with her hands, and then she cried right away once she was all out
OH just stuck her right on my chest and threw the closest towel over her and called 999 as i said we should get anyone medical there asap just incase. He just went to unlock the front door talking with the 999 operator and the midwives were coming down the stairs, so they missed it by about 2 minutes
I apologized alot, because i knew that the student midwife they had it was her first ever birth she was attending, and i felt really bad she'd missed it!
Doubt she'll forget it anyhow!
Also, really happy i had one small 1st degree "nick" that didn't need anything doing to it
A small warning though, the afterpains are sooo much worse the second time!
Oof! Feeding last night it was really hard to stay still. Paracetamol, ibprofen and a hot water bottle are great though
