Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Hi all -

We have had a hectic weekend with a visit to manchester to see Daves dad who hasnt made any progress and then staying at my mum and dads last night. Our day has been ok although my dad woke everyone up at 5 as he wanted to watch the grand prix at 6 so we have all been shattered all day!

As for stretch marks I had loads last time so I am guessing its only going to get worse!!! But my bump has finally popped out a bit so I am starting to look pregnant!!!

Aw Sarah, hugs to you. My 'DH' completely forgot my first mothers day last year, i got norhing! Needless to say I have reminded him about it at every oportune moment in the past year - and this year i got a card and a lovely new bag. So, my story is to give you hope that maybe next year he will make it up to you xxx
Those pregnant ladies - my old stretchies from last time are alrready re stretching, so I am guessing there will be more this time too as mine only came in the last couple of weeks last time.
Hugs to all the super mummies on this thread! xxx

Sarah - Dan really doesnt get the point of any of the days like this. it does get to the point that i think i shouldnt bother about his days but in the end i cant help it coz thats they way i was brought up! i think his family were not big on these sort of things!

LC - poor Will falling over, owen always seems to be up to no good :dohh: today i was cleaning in the kitchen and I heard 'mummy down please' and i found him on the TV unit standing on the closed laptop (our old one thank god, not my macbook!) and touching out weather station thingy we have on the wall! he'd pulled up a stool to climb on to the unit!

modo - glad you got chocs and flowers even if you did see them beforehand! erin left my mother's day pressie under my pillow on friday night - a clay handpring and poem! I think that hopefully my kids will remember mother's day even if their dad doesnt!

mork - ooh a new bag! nice :)

h&f - sorry that dave's dad is not improving :(

well i spent the morning washing and ironing and then took the kids to my MIL for a couple of hours as i had to go to a music festival competition with a couple of kids from school. i was really pissed off that it was scheduled for 2pm on mother's day but i really had to go. then i went back to MIL and had a bite to eat and then took the kids out with their scooters til about 6 and then we made our way home for bath, food and bed! dan stayed indoors sleeping off his night shift. he's at work again tonight.

Sarah sorry to hear Steve didn't bother with Mother's Day. I can't remember who said that maybe you need to make a big fuss about how upset you are then he can make it up to you next year. Either that or you could do what I did- I got Oliver to make a card for me at toddler group with my help  I did get a card and a book called I love my Mummy which I read to Oliver in bed.

Mork Still undecided about whether to find out or not, H really wants to and I keep changing my mind. Thinking maybe he should get his way as I got mine last time and we didn't find out.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

I have spent today at work, was quite funny as last time I worked was at the start of January so no-one new but this time I could see people wondering, but they were too polite to ask if i was pregnant or if I was just fat  I did tell them, after letting them squirm for a bit asking questions that kind of skirted round the whole pregnancy thing but without asking me outright he he he.

muddles i take it your bump is still neat, mine was so sticky out with all 3! no wondering whether i was preggers! lol

 Maybe I wouldn't say it was neat, just that the white maternity blouse was a bit too big and the non maternity black waistcoat wasn't very flattering so people could assume either way. In my non work clothes I think I look pretty pregnant. Have added a bump picture which I just got my H to take, I did crop out my face though as I have no makeup on and my hair resembles a lion's mane

Hi think stretchies are inevitable second time round.

Muddles that is a lovely neat bump and emera - you were all baby, you look great!!

I might must up the courage to do one later.....

Have a good day xx

Wow Emera that's a big difference! I agree with LC all baby!

Hey all -

Muddles - what a fantastic bump! I might take a picture of my 'invisible' bump today and post! ... my mum saw me on sunday morning from the side and kept saying that I was still looking really slim until I turned to the side and she was like wow where did that come from!!! I think I look different in my pjs to in my jeans!

Emera - you look brill - definately all baby! How are things going?

L-C - you should definately do a bump shot later!!!

Hope everyone is ok - I think I am coming down with a bug thing as I feel really rough again!

Well, things are going really well! Freyja is feeding brilliantly and is very relaxed. She poos soooo much though!! Roh only pooed every couple of days once he was established on the BF, but this girl poos like 8 times a day!

She had her heel prick test today which she wasn't thrilled about! Poor girly!

When she had the 3 day weigh in she had gone from 7lb 15oz at birth to 7lb 13oz, so she only lost a tiny bit! They weighed her again today and she's now 8lb!!! If she carries on like this she's going to be a chunker!! :haha: The MW was stunned and actually checked the scales were set right and double checked her weight!

So pleased though its all so different to with Roh. I wish i'd felt this relaxed the first time round, it would have been absolute bliss! :)

Well done Emera! Sounds like Freyja is thriving! I think relaxing is easier said than done the first time round :hugs: I am obviously nervous about what having a baby and a toddler together will be like but not actually worried about looking after a baby.

Well we ended up having a lush day and Will was so good :cloud9:

Emera Will was pootastic when he was tiny, he went every feed for quite sometime. That's fantastic with her weight and good to hear she is feeding well. I was in agony for the first 7 weeks, hoping it'll be easier this time.

H&F sorry to hear your FIL hasn't made much progress hopefully, he'll pick up soon. Can't wait to see you bump x

Well here is mine, please excuse my comfy's!! and my arse!!!

Muddles - did you find out???

Meant to say we started putting the furniture up in the baby's room as DH is on leave. I have even washed some baby stuff is that way too early?? Just think the rest of washing stuff will be done slowly now...

Ace bump LC!! :)

Had my bro and SIL and neice and nephew over for the afternoon, so nice to see them all :) Total chaos though, 4 children under the age of 3 all together in the house is totally mental!! Love it! :D

Emera That's a big difference, you must have been all baby. That's great news about Freyja's weight.

LC lovely bump! We did find out, I saw the three lines before the guy doing the scan told us that we are on team :pink: he said obviously that's not for definite. Very excited, but a little worried I wont know what to do with a girl!

H&F  definitely post a bump picture. I'd love to have one of those bumps where you turn around and people's faces are a picture as from the back they didn't realise you were pregnant.

Muddles congrats on your pink bump!! Oliver will be such a fabby big brother :)

Emera you look amazing! And it sounds like Freyja is really thriving :) Oliver pooed all the time when he was tiny but it calmed down a bit after a while :haha:

Lovely bumps ladies!!

We had a better day today, went to Sheffield to collect some new prints that we've had framed and then to my parents. Oliver had a great time, it's lovely to see him get so excited at the thought of going to see his grandparents, so sweet :) So that and some little DIY jobs and thats today done! Steve only has one more day off but we;ve got far more of our 'to do' list done than I thought and we've not spent too much, so thats good

Muddles congratulations on the :pink: bump! So far girls are the same as boys from what i can tell, except obviously nappy changes are a different arrangement! :haha: You just have to not stand at the business end with girls as the wee goes out, not up!

So pissed off with Dan. He wanted a bIt of action yesterday and I didn't and he went off on one saying I never have time for him and ways have time for others! May e if he actually got off his arse and helped with the housework I could sit down before 10pm and actually feel more energetic! Instead he sits on the sofa wAtching tv! He was off yesterday and I wasn't! I asked him to bath the kids but his idea of that was to run the bath, stick them in and leave them there! I had to scrub them and change them so not much help at all!

Muddles congrats on team pink! Nice bump, deffo preggers and not fat!

Emera Dylan pooed after every feed for months! Lol!

LC- good pic. Looks all baby!

Sarah my 3 get all excited with their grandparents too!

LC: Lovely bump hon :hugs:

Muddles: Yay for girlies! Oliver will be a great big brother :D

Maybe: Sorry Danny got annoyed and didn't help you more with the bath :( What's the point in just sticking them in there :growlmad:

Sarah: Glad you had a better day :D Oliver is adorable :happydance:

I am not so happy today :( It looks like the hospital where I had Bobby lost my birth notes  I am devastated and find it hard to believe that they just got "lost". I feel like I will never know what happened that day and how will I move on?
