Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Emera how awful about your friends little girl! How frightening! I hope she's okay! Xx

Modo - congrats :) she's gorgeous!

LC - anything yet?

Am off to fuenguirola for the weekend. Catch you all when I get back! Xxx

Nothing!! Have a good weekend maybe xx

I have had a hideous night, Will up until now has been brilliant at going to bed, flatly refused until 9:30 pm. I had to rock him like a baby in the end. My feet are so swollen and I had planned on sitting with them up - typical. First night of DH's leave, we wanted to have a nice meal and a small sneaky glass of wine. Then at 3 am he was up for about an hour and a half, screaming at the top of his lungs. Like he had been possessed nothing would calm him. He ended up in bed with us, something we have never done and TBH not something I was in agreement with DH with. Caused a bit of tention, feel as though we will have made a rod for our own backs. So all in all a crap nights sleep - think this baby is very wise, no wonder it doesn't want to come out! My basic instincts are probably telling me it's not safe to crawl off to go into labour.

Think this week he is determined to knock my Mummy confidence, just before the really scary task of managing two, either that or he hates me.

Hope you all have a nice weekend planned. I almost feel like labour would be a nice break lol!

LC Sorry you had such a bad night. I am sure kids pick up on tension and choose to play up when you feel at your worst! My ideas would be teething, bad dreams or illness for your bad night. Has Will got his back four teeth? I know that Oliver's sleep has gone to pot at various times throughout the teething process and at other times when he has a bad dream. It took us a long time to work out he was having bad dreams, it's only now as he tells us what's wrong. The last bad dream he had he woke up screaming and was inconsolable for a few minutes then he was saying 'Mamag tap psshhh pshhhh' which was related to my Mum's radiator spraying water everywhere and all down him. He also talks in his sleep so guess it makes sense that he is dreaming too. As long as you don't make a habit of bringing him in bed with you I am sure you haven't made a rod for your own back. Also when Oliver is about to come down with something he seems to have bad nights before hand then when the illness arrives it all makes sense as to why he slept so badly. Hope you can grab a daytime nap today and get a better night's sleep tonight.

was hoping for a daytime nap or time to do some jobs. Put him in his bed and sat at the top of the stairs and he got out of his cot and came and sat next to me! Now we are trying to re arrange stair gates to gate his bedroom and convert his cot into a big boy bed. Can't have him falling that far! Goodness knows how he did it, there was no thud. Everything seems to have gone to poo just at the worse time. Was counting on his daytime nap for when the baby arrives.

LC: Big :hugs: Bobby has been waking at night recently which is pretty exhausting for all of us.

Just a quick update. So I had my baby! Lily is really Teeny compared to Bobby. She was born 6lbs 7ozI am breastfeeding and it really hurts. I am assuming that's normal from what I have heard from other Mommys. Can anyone tell me how long that last for?

modo - Congratulations, on the safe arrival of Lily, gorgeous name!!! Love the pics on FB. How are you feeling?

mine lasted about 6 weeks and it suddenly cleared up when I went without the lanisoh cream. It did get better during that time, but it was as though someone had flicked a switch and was suddenly really lovely and completely pain free xxxx

Aww L-C, hugs xxxxx
Modo - It was sore for the first 7 weeks for me and then suddenly all fell into place and the soreness went, hopefully it will do that sooner rather than later for you.
Well, it was my lo's birthday today - we had a lovely family day and are all worn out now! She has been utterly spoilt and still has present left to open!! I cant believe she is 2, really feel like she is growing up too fast - I'm not ready for her to potentially leave home in 16 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
xx

On a plus note, can I just mention here that I am so proud of us for making the 2 year who recommendation b'fing guideline :)

Well done mork and happy birthday to t xxx

Congratulations to you Modo BF hurt for the first couple of weeks, until my nipples toughened up a bit, the after pains from labour stopped and I had been to a bf drop in to get his latch sorted out.

Well done Mork and Happy Birthday to T!

LC - will maybe senses the impending arrival of his little sister and is playing up?

Modo - congrats! Did you have a vbac?

Mork - happy belated bday to T xxx

Sarah - hope your cold is better and Steve too!

Muddles - I can't believe you're less than 10wks fom our due date now!!!

We had a lovely weekend away :) lots of sun and too much food and a couple of sneaky glasses of sangria ;) will upload pics on fb tomorrow. For now it's off to sort out stuff or tomorrow and then bath and bed I think!

On a plus note, can I just mention here that I am so proud of us for making the 2 year who recommendation b'fing guideline :)

YES INDEED! Well Done! Just hit 25 months with Dillon. Starting to wonder if I should wean - but then think - why? Idk - he's pretty big now! And I wouldn't mind being able to have my body back to myself.... but then again... sounds easier to just let him continue on till he's ready. I'll probably give him a few more months before I cut him off. We will see! I cut Logan off at 2 years.... figured I'd let Dillon go a bit longer. Not sure how long though....

Maybe: Yes I did! I also gave birth naturally as I stayed home till pretty much the end of it. I was on all fours in the back of the car pushing and hoping I didn't give birth in the parking lot  I ended up giving birth in triage :haha:

So tired  Lily was feeding for most of the night  I guess this is a growth spurt? My poor boobies are sore :haha:

Modo the first couple of weeks are really intensive for feeding whilst they sort out your supply etc. They seem to have spurts pretty often early on as well.
So pleased for you having a vbac!! :)

So glad you got your vbac modo :) bf is tough at 1st. After 6wks it settles xx

Logansmama- well done you :) I am still hoping T will self wean once shes comfortable with new baby.
Modo - you did amazing hon :) I dont think i will be anywhere near as brave as you - I wish in one way I had your determination to have a vbac!! And I also agree with Maybe - it was 7 weeks in it all settled for me.
Hope everyone else is ok?
xxx
