Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Big big relief! For Dan too! He was really worried.

LC and modo - hope labour is quick and easy and happens soon for you both!!!

Muddles - glad you had a nice trip! I'm dying for a trip to London!

Sarah - hope you're fully recovered from your cold soon xx

What a day, had a lovely morning with Will, we drove into town and then had a walk around. He had a sleep and I made a hot chilli and sorted out tea. Did most of the ironing and started to cut the grass. Halfway through Will woke up and wasn't right. He kept having runny nappies and seemed to be in agony each time, poor thing. He seemed to pick up slightly and then puked all over me!! Seems much better now though he's just gone to bed. So you can guarantee she'll decide tonights the night, when I really would rather be here for Will. Cutting the grass, that must be nesting!!

Aww, LC i hope Will is ok :hugs: Horrible when they aren't right :(

Thanks emera - he only woke up once poorly at midnight. He was burning up and needed changing. Then...... the bloody smoke detector went off at 02:20, 4 and 5:20 am. OH was due up at 6 am and so I was awake. Then he slept in until 7 (he should've walked the dog). So now I'm tired and the dog is going to do my head in today because he's not been out. I could cry and even when I was having normal nights sleep, didn't think I felt refreshed enough to actually give birth.

I'm willing it to not happen today again now... hopefully after a better night's sleep tonight I'll be ready for a sweep tomorrow.

Hope it's lush and sunny with all of you, it looks lovely here xx

Awwww LC I hope Will is better and that you get a good nights sleep!!

Emera I saw on Facebook about the water, I hope everything is okay!

Well Steve has broken his ankle  He was putting some stuff into the loft and has somehow landed wrong / fallen coming down the ladder. I was cooking tea at the time, managed to get him downstairs but he couldn't put any weight on it and was obviously in a lot if pain. It started swelling up so we decided it needed looking at. Luckily our a and e is very close by and it only took an hour and a half from start to finish to get there, be seen, X-rays, cast and get home. He has a temp cast for now and has to go to fracture clinic on Thursday. Oliver was SO well behaved at the hospital, bless him :)

Ouch poor Steve! Breaking your ankle hurts!
The water leak thing has been really annoying! :growlmad: quite angry as was told it would be fixed after last time. Thank goodness for the good weather I got everything dried out nice and quick!

Had F weighed today as she had jabs yesterday. She now weighs 13lb3oz which is more than Roh weighed at 6 months and she's 10 weeks old! Chunker!!
She went to sleep at 8pm and is showing no signs of waking up. I've had an hours sleep but I'm now up expressing as I can't sleep with boobs this sore! Just got 8oz off of one side  think I worked out why she's getting so big! :haha:

LC, hope you spend some time jumping up and down tomorrow if that there baby is still tucked up comfy!! Xx

oh wow emera, what a chunk, you obvisouly have gold top!!

Gutting about the water, is it under control, hopefully it will get sorted once and for all this time. Will slept really well after his jabs, how was the rest of the night.

Sarah hope steve gets better soon, how long will he be off work? An hour and a half is good going to get all sorted.

Will seems much better today thankfully. My BH's seem to be tender when they tighten, so hopefully it's something, or if not means the sweep today might be successful at least.

Will has been so clingy, over the past few days, I know he's been poorly but I wonder if he really does sense something? Emera, do you think Roh did??

LC, not sure that Roh sensed anything really. He's sometimes clingy, sometimes not, who can explain the mind of a toddler?

Had a really frightening experience today. Went to my friend's house so the kids could play in her garden, they had a lovely time, gardening and splashing in the paddling pool, and then had some ice cream. Then my friends little girl started rubbing at her eyes and scratching her hands and throat. We thought she'd rubbed some sun cream into her eyes, so my friend took her to wash her face off. She shouted me into the house and her daughter had suddenly come up in huge blotchy lumps all over her face and hands and feet and neck. It was obviously an allergic reaction. Then she had a fit, so we called an ambulance, which luckily arrived really fast, as by the time they got there she could barely breathe. They had to give her an adrenalin injection, i think it was? Anyway it helped alot and she could breath quite well, enough to be crying anyway, which was sooo good to hear. It was really frightening and horrible! Luckily she seems to be ok. Turns out there was cashew nuts in the ice cream, and looks like she had an allergic reaction to them. I'm still feeling shaky now.

Bloody hell emera that sounds terrible, I'm so glad she was ok. God that really is the frightening bit about being parents and makes me feel sick!! Thank god they came quickly!

Had my sweep yesterday, which wasn't great, basically they couldn't do it because my cervix was way to high and closed. So I have another attempt booked in on monday and then induction Wednesday! Gutted, really was hoping it would set me off and I could be on track for a straight forward natural birth. Not only did she not show any signs of coming anytime soon, she backed right away from the mw. Great a stubborn little monkey!!

Thanks LM xx

LC if its any consolation, had 2 sweeps, neither of which were favourable and my cervix was really high, she could barely reach it! :haha: the 2nd one was 3 days before I had her, and I had my appointment for induction the next day, so, don't worry, the MW said to me that 2nd time you can go from nothing to ready very fast!

Oh emera that is just what I wanted to hear - thank you!! So it could still happen any time? I had given up and was trying to just concentrate on Wednesday now xx

Do you reckon it gets favourable before or during contractions? Not really sure how it all works?

L-C - My cervix wasn't favourable just hours before my contractions started so fingers crossed yours goes the same way. I was literally checked about 6 hours before my contractions strated and the midwife was saying how she wouldnt be able to do a sweep ... about 16 hours later Amy arrived!

LC I had uncomfortable cramps for about 24 hours then a 1.5 hour labour this time. Before those 24 hours I'd tried to check myself and couldn't even reach, so yeah could happen any time, like H+F said!
I'd reccommend just relaxing, focus on the fact you'll definitely not be pregnant in a week and enjoy your last few days of only having Will around :). You can't stay pregnant forever! :hugs:

oh cool, thanks to you both. Just read modo's, journal, think she could be in labour xx

Emera that's really scary, glad your friend's LO is ok.

LC Hope you don't have to wait too much longer.

Modo Good luck if your are in labour!

Ooohhhh looks like Modo's had her baby! She's updated on Facebook :)
