Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Oh Amy how exciting! :)
Maybe - i get you re the space we have one less bedroom than you so goodness knows how we will manage!! (Im hoping for a miracle :) )
xx

Maybe - my scan is next thurs. to be honest I've got bad vibes something is wrong but we'll see. His children are 11, 10 and nearly 2 snd get on well with mine :)

Mork - I've never had enough room for my children, life just seems to absorb them in somehow! Xx

Where there's a will there's a way Amy :) I hope all is ok hon, hugs xxxx

Urgh, I'm trying to get Oliver to fall asleep on his own, almost two and a half hours later he's still not asleep (but islaud down quietly etc) Does it get better?

Ooohhhh I think he's asleep!!!!!!! And without any tears! I daren't move now in case I wake him up, haha!

Hi lovely ladies sorry i am so rubbish at keeping up to date with you all.

Amy wow congratulations! Hopefully all will be well with your scan next week. Glad things are going well for you with your new man.

Before having any kids I always said I'd like 4 and my H always said he would like 2. Since then he has said we can have more than 2, but like me he would like to wait until one of them is in school so we will see what happens in 2015 I guess. We would need to move house though, as we have only two rooms.

Sarah what do you do to try and get him to go to sleep?

Im sure it will hon, took us a couple of weeks with T (we started when she was 23 months) xx

sarah - owen sometimes takes ages to go to sleep. lately as we've let the others stay up later as it's holidays he's started climbing out the cot :dohh: hopefully all will go back to normal when school starts monday! they are all awake as we've been playing Monopoly! Dan gave up and went to bed before the kids. Just got them in bed at 11pm  so time for a cuppa and then bed for me too!

mork - the boys are going to have the master bedroom some time this year but Erin's room is too small for another bed! would have to have custom made bunks if I were to have another girl! :haha: i'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant though!

amy - i really hope that all goes well on Thursday! waiting is the worst. I bled at 8wks with Dylan and all was OK in the end, though it did take a lot of the fun out of pregnancy as i kept checking my knickers for blood every time i went to the loo!

muddles - wtt can be exciting too! the prospect of what is to come ;) we can't afford to move :nope: prices here are astronomical!

emera - Owen hates having his hair washed. We use a flannel over his eyes to keep the water off his face.

h&f - how is Eva?

Well it went really well I guess, he b'fed for a bit and then we talked about going to sleep like mummy and daddy and like a little boy and not a baby :haha: I'm trying to encourage him to wean a bit too. He was good really, he messed about a bit but then just sat quietly and then laid down. He wanted me to lie with him which was fine. We want to get him into his own room so I'm hoping that this will help. We need to make his room all lovely first thought, that will be quite a job lol!

Sarah - owen is still in with us. Til we can afford to buy the new furniture and change our room with dylan's he will be in with us. he's getting too big for the cot tho! Dylan we out the cot by the time he was 2 and Erin was about 2 1/2 or maybe a bit younger as we needed the cot for the then baby!

Sarah it will get better. We found when we did the transition from cot to bed that we had to be consistent with what happened if he got out of bed (supernanny-first time put back in bed and say that it's bedtime and he needed to be a good boy and go to sleep, second time out put back and say bedtime, third and any subsequent times return to bed and say nothing, we also found we had to avoid eye contact or he would do something to make us laugh ) It also took around a month of one of us sitting in the room near the door not looking/interacting with him in any way and by the time the month was up he was going to sleep within 15mins of being put in bed. Now we only have trouble if he sleeps too long in the daytime, but he hardly ever naps during the day anymore.

When do your LO start preschool in uk? Owen will be starting the preschool in Dylan and Erin's school on September. He will only be 3y3m whereas Erin was 3y11m and Dylan 3y9m! He's so little compared to them! He still wears 18-24 trousers and I'm worried that I won't find a uniform small enough :haha:

Maybe, its the term after they turn 3 here, then they start 15 hours a week (or more if you want to pay). So I think all of ours will be starting in the september too.

We have both Roh and F in a room together now, it can be slightly bonkers at bedtime, but generally we put Roh to bed first then F when she's had some quiet time without Roh racing around! Works well so far.

The house we want to move to has 5 bedrooms, woohoo! Soo looking forwards to a bit more space! Our flat is finally going to be going on the market on the 15th Jan. Yay! I really honestly can't wait to move! (Although its going to be hellish actially doing the move once we are in, it will be fab :)

Wow 5beds! Great! That'd cost about a million pounds here :( no chance!

It's cheaper than our 2 (1.5) bed flat here! Mad! Its flipping lovely too, I'm just hoping and hoping it stays on the market until we get an offer!

Woo Emera 5beds, ahhhh that would be lovely! Fingers crossed for you!

So ladies, are we all off to Devon in the summer, Emera has space! :haha:

hey all -

Amy - congrats, hope all goes well at the scan tomorrow.

Everyone talking about babies is making me broody again - my cycle is all over the place at the moment though so every 4 weeks I get a bit worried but as OH always says we need to actually do it to get pregnant.

Eva is finally getting better we think, she hasn't been coughing as much today and seems a bit more settled ... last night we had a hell of a bed time with her and she didnt settle till about 11 so fingers crossed she stays down tonight!

Has anyone got any holiday plans this year? We are desperate to go to the seaside so have booked a week in Devon and it's OH's 40th birthday so I am plaaning a party and to take him away for that as long as I can save up enough money!!!

Hope your all ok x

Wow Emera 5 beds sounds amazing! Is it far from where you are now?

Maybe like Emera says it will be September, and applications for a place is in February.

H&F Glad Eva is on the mend. we are going to Dorset and to Peppa Pig World. Not sure who is more excited me or O.
