O/T ipad 2 or ipad mini

As the title says ipad 2 or ipad mini? im looking to buy one for christmas and i dont want to go over 350 but i want and ipad of some form. do you know which is best? already done some online research and it seems to be very mixed.

Narrowing it down, there's not a great difference except size. If you were comparing the iPad 3 or 4 with a mini there would be some differences.

i would love a 3 or 4 but i just couldnt bring myself to paying that sort of money!

If that was the choice I would say mini. Some apps won't be compatible with the 2. Whereas the mini is the same as the 3 or the 4 but smaller. I prefer by big one though, but a small one would fit in my handbag which would be nice.

Lauren I will just say they are well worth the money.

However- that said. I sold my iPad 3 for the Mini- yes the screen quality isn't as good (has the same as the iPad 2) but it is a lot lighter which was important to me as I use it for university and it will fit in my bag more easily. Plus it is a lot better to use as a kindle- hold your iPad in your hands for more than 10 minutes and your wrists start to ache a little.

I would go for the mini personally- but it does depend what you are going to use it for. My mum uses hers to watch a lot of films- so in that instance I would recommend the full size iPad.

It's a lot bigger though- still great for word documents, watching movies (although better on a iPad) and works great as a kindle- an iTouch is too small for any of that to be done easily imo.

The touch is tiny, I have a touch and iPhone and don't use them for much other than their main purpose, I use the iPad.

I have the iPad 2, best purchase I have made! Definately recommend it.

My phone is a Galaxy Note, so bigger than your average phone/itouch but I still revert to iPad for browsing internet, looking at documents from work etc.

Personally I'd go for the 2 as i use my phone a lot and the mini I probably wouldn't use as much really. If it is quality your after though mini without a doubt. x

I think it depends what you will be using it for. I have the iPad 3, I won't be trading in for a mini, it is my go between for my laptop and phone, I use it for a lot of reading and PDF editing for my masters when commuting, any smaller and it would be too fiddly for me. If it was just for browsing and apps I would possibly look at the mini but tbh I haven't seen one yet.
