Off topic, thread closing m[o/u]mmies!

Yea but it seems real bad. When she's not sleeping, she is crying. She sounds weird like she has a throat infection.

When do you goto the doctor? Is tomorrow to late?>

If she's that miserable I would try and make an appointment today. (not sure what time it is in the UK) If you can't, hopefully you can get an early appointment tomorrow. Babies with colds can be a little cranky, but not usually constantly crying.

:hugs: Hope she feels better soon.

It's 38.1 celcius or 100.5 Fahrenheit, so high, ut not too high.
I just keep nusrsing her for now and docs tomorrow.

Sorry for hijcking the thread but she seems in so much pain :(.

It' gone 5.30pm so everything is closed. Dont want to subject her to 4 hours of A&E in hospital if not necessary!

No, I agree. You could always ring NHS direct if you are worried hon?

Lauki, poor lass! Just keep an eye on the temp and take straight to A&E if it ever hits 40. Hope she feels better soon x x x

I am moping about as best friend has just left and its the last time I will see her for a year as she's moving to Oz. Gutted I wont get to see her baby grow up with my LO.

That's not a really high fever at least. I can can understand not wanting to go to the emergency room. You can be there forever. Can you make an appointment for tomorrow morning, then keep the emergency in mind just in case she gets worse?

Will do just that! Thanks! Sorry for the first time mummy worries!

Sounds like you have a plan Lauki. I get pretty upset/worried when James cries a lot cause that's not usual and SO SAD! Hope she feels better by tomorrow!

Jessica - I'm sorry about your friend moving! (where's Oz? All I can think of is Wizard of Oz). A year is such a long time!!

Australia. One of my best mates moved back to Prague lately so I feel for you Jess

Greatest cause of childhood asthma is overuse of chemicals and cleaning products. The worse culprit is air fresheners.

I dont use any chemicals in my home, or chemical cleaning products. My son has severe asthma so it is pretty much genetic I would say.

Ava is ok I guess. Went to docs today and they said she has clear lungs, and he said there is no possible way with clear lungs she could have asthma ?? I don't believe this one bit.. but anyways. Happy her lungs are clear, but still no reason for the coughing ONLY when laying down....

He said that she probably has reflux again... and to not feed her right before bed about 1/2 hr before. (there goes our routine) I guess teething/ reflux go together in one... she is teething about 6 teeth in at the moment!!- yay for late teething.. now they come all at once.

She is 25.10 lbs... and 31 1/2 inches tall :dohh:

Next month- 1 yr needles.. eeeek!

Happy she has clear lungs but i agree with you. I have asthma and I have "clear" lungs......asthma is many times reactive..

And you're right... she IS tall!

Lauki- Sorry that Sophie is sick.... :( So sad when they don't feel well.

Poor Sophie, just keep taking her temp and call NHS direct if you are concerned.

That sucks that your friend is moving away Jessica :(

*sigh* crazy Maria has been tearing up houseplants and now she's climbed into the wood basket again.

Is it wrong that I sing this to LO - it is her favourite song:

I can't see a single thing wrong with singing this to your baby.

If she was a good mother she should certainly take the speed herself and then breast feed!

Lauki- I would take her to docs as soon as you can, i wouldn't leave it a day longer. Constant crying, and sounding like a throat infection very well could be strep throat, or an ear infection. Ava was like that once and dr kept telling me it was teething, meanwhile she had a double ear infection, strep throat, and on her way to bronchitus.. she was sooo sick..

I hope she feels better... if its her throat there is not much you can do ... if she is stuff, then try the steamy bathroom.. it SOMETIMES.. works for us!!

Hope Sophie feels better soon, poor girl. And you 2... get some rest when you can!!!

Neko- I do use a cool mist humidifier in her room every night, just because it makes it easier for her to breathe anyway, and no harm in leaving it in there all the time.... its not that type of cough... its like a 'hacking' cough.. i cant explain it sounds very much like an asthma cough,... and its like cough cough cough cough..... couuuuuuuuuugh... gag... then settle... sometimes after gag is vomit... if that even makes sence? :haha:

MD- I am not 100 percent convinced she does not have asthma.. because many many times masons lungs have sounded ;'clear' and yet he had pnuemonia.. and his oxygen was low... all drs listen to is wheezing.. mason rarely wheezes and when he does, its usually not going to turn into and asthma attack.

If he has coughing attacks... and short of breath.. that will turn into an asthma attack, but drs want to think what they want to think. So far I am going to lean more towards the reflux...but asthma is not ruled out for me yet. If it gets worst ill be getting masons specialist to take a look at her.

Ava is lazy in her own way... haha such as not walking yet.. ... but she crawls and gets into everything- shes fast paced that way. She would much rather talk, she is advanced in talking.. but not mobility :haha:

cat lover, that literally is Sophia's favorite song. Have you seen the video for it? She LOVES it!

I think as long as you're singing to them it doesn't matter what it is (until they can understand the words, then maybe some of it should be filtered).

LOL Maria attacking the house plants. So cute since I'm not cleaning it up! I dont have to worry about that as we have no inside plants...
