Hey all,
I am very cautiously pregnant again after a mc in July. I'm trying not to take or do anything I shouldn't but I'm unsure about how much omega 3 is ideal?

I have a box of pregnacare plus which has omega 3 tablets in it too and they are only 300mg dha.

My usual capsules have a total of 1000mg fish oil including 180mg EPA and 120mg dha.

Anyone have any idea which I should take ??

Thanks all xxxx

I just take 300mg omega 3 then get the rest from fortified foods. 1000 sounds a little excessive maybe? Xxx

Hi munchkin! I remember you from ttc - CONGRATS!

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question though. Happy and healthy 9 months :)

Hi munchin,

I also remember you from TTC threads and wanted to wish you congrats on your pregnancy.
Sorry I don't have an answer. I took my prenatal bit plus flaxseed every day with breakfast which is hight in omega 3.

I take 500mg DHA as recommended by my naturopath :)

I take a prenatal DHA free of fish (I think they use algae), to reduce chances of mercury. With my first, I took a simple fish oil pill, can't remember how strong it was though. I assume if it comes IN your prenatal, it should be safe. Best of luck and congrats!

Oo yes i have flax/chia seeds too. Good for fibre as well as omega 3 ;)
