I have just had a flyer popped through my door for this
https://www.abel-cole.co.uk/Default.aspx?tab=Home
had a quick look on the website and looks good, a little dearer than supermarket but you get what you pay for i say :)
They even do baby veg boxes https://www.abel-cole.co.uk/product.aspx?product=OWB
Ideal if you want to make your own food for baby

awww thts gr8 hun!!! pricey tho!!!

I get a fruit box delivered from riverford every wednesday. Last week I got apples, oranges, bananas, kiwis and strawberries. It costs £7.85 and I think it's good value - www.riverford.co.uk . I used to get the veggies ones but I wasn't using the different items.

hmmm im tempted to do this, but im worried about the quality of vege they send out.

Thanks girls i just looked at my Fresh Produce and found a site and made an order ...

i love riverford - the quality is much better than supermarkets as it's all organic and much tastier and better for you - they do baby bags too and even meat and beer/wine - they're brilliant! So convenient too and it has made me experiment a bit more with different veg i might not normally buy.

Yup - I'd recommend Riverford every time !
Their produce is absoloutely top notch.

And... I sat down and compared all my weekly riverford prices to organic in Sainsburys and riverford was about 30p more - And they deliver.

They've never ever missed a delivery or missed something from the order.

The only down-side is that they only do meat products in large quantities.
I'm veggi so buying lots of meat just for my OH ends up being Very expensive....

Abel and Cole are good ... BUT they are a national rather than a local company, so your veggies could come from anywhere in the country. If you're using a veg box scheme because you're concerned about food miles, then ideally you're better off using a more locally-based organisation (off the top of my head, Riverford for the south-west, River Nene for the East Midlands/East Anglia, Wild Star for Sheffield and surrounding areas, River Swale also for Sheffield and surrounding areas).

xx

I have tried Riverford and Abel and Cole and preferred the latter because I had a say in what was received. At A&C you can put your preferences in and won't receive what you don't like. With Riverford you don't get those options.

But the quality of the produce is really good from both companies.
