Our Crazy General Rambling Chat Thread(Men in Leotards Welcome!)

I live just north of Lansing about 25 minutes.

Eve is all the way in New Brunswick. Too far for a roadtrip lol. But you could come visit me! :haha: I'm about 2-2.5 hours north of roughly where you're at.

New Brunswick, ME? I used to live in Maine.

Well.. all of you suck because none of you live close to me and I live in the country and holy crap am I bored to tears. I don't know anyone here...except the In laws.. and .. NO.

New Brunswick, Canada. :haha:

I'm sorry! Even if we lived close I couldn't drive to see you...though you could come see me. I'm not allowed to drive unless an absolute emergency.

I don't blame you for not wanting to hang with the ILs LOL. Cruel and unusual punishment much???

I like hanging out with them like a hole in the head. I only moved thirty minutes away but it is far enough because I don't know anyone where I live.

No baby groups either.... and i am old....so I don't even know where to find folks my age and their kids are probably older then mine anyway.

all those canadians here. how do you stand the cold weather:haha: we may be the same latitude(53 .5 deg north (thats me) but it is soooo much colder in canada. :freeze:

Wow Ozzie and you all keep telling me I'm naughty.

LOL

That's kinda weird though. Wonder what brought that on.

I have similar winters here to Canada. As far north as New Brunswick, no. But we have winters where it hits -20f (and sometimes colder). Honestly you turn the heat up, bundle up, blankets are your best friend. Oh and :sex: to share body heat :haha: :haha:

Ozzi, how did you get on at your Dr today, have they sorted you out?

I'm fine  She wants a urine sample to run some tests (pregnancy, UTI check, etc), but she says it's unlikely I am pregnant or miscarried. :) :hugs:

Wee man got his 4 month vaccines today too :( He screamed bloody murder :( But he's happily sleeping on my lap just now.

Thanks for the concerns :)

Aww poor little man. I hate taking them for their shots! But I do love how clingy and cuddly mine gets afterwards. She just wants to be held and loved on after that.

This will be our last set until one year :happydance: But it was two shots in one leg and one in the other :( Poor mannie :(

are there no more shots at the 6 month visit? I thought they got shots at every visit for some reason (I know it varies a lot from region to region).

You're done at 4 months til he's one year??? In the states, we have 2 months, 4 months, 6 months...then either 9 months and a year, or it jumps straight to a year. we're not that far yet. My daughter has her 6 months in a week and a half.

She's getting her 6 months at a couple days shy of 7 months. :dohh:

we alaso get winters down to -20 on ocassion but normally it is just about -5 :). We have the northatlantic (gulf) stream

Oh joy...my poor baby :hugs:

Yeah. I hear that your baby is pretty much going to get a reaction from that one.

Last vaccination she screamed off course and I was holding her and she was calm but pouting a bit and the nurse was saying to her, "Miss Amy is sorry" and Corrine looked right at her and screamed at her.. as if to say " f u lady!"....it was pretty funny.. we all laughed.

Yeah, we have the MMR at 12 months.
2 months:

Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib, a bacterial infection that can cause severe pneumonia or meningitis in young children) given as a 5-in-1 single jab known as DTaP/IPV/Hib
Pneumococcal infection

3 months:

5-in-1, second dose (DTaP/IPV/Hib)
Meningitis C

4 months:

5-in-1, third dose (DTaP/IPV/Hib)
Pneumococcal infection, second dose
Meningitis C, second dose

Between 12 and 13 months:

Meningitis C, third dose
Hib, fourth dose (Hib/MenC given as a single jab)
MMR (measles, mumps and rubella), given as a single jab
Pneumococcal infection, third dose

3 years and 4 months, or soon after:

MMR second jab
Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis and polio (DtaP/IPV), given as a 4-in-1 pre-school booster

Around 12-13 years:

Cervical cancer (HPV) vaccine, which protects against cervical cancer (girls only): three jabs given within six months

Around 13-18 years:

Diphtheria, tetanus and polio booster (Td/IPV), given as a single jab

Mine SCREAMED at her 4 months too. Poor Midget... :nope:

She always has a fever afterwards for a day or two, and just wants to be snuggled and held and loved on and doesn't eat much. Not looking forward to that MMR vacc.

We delayed K's vaccines. She didn't get her 12 month ones until 20 months. I didn't even want to give her the MMR and the only reason I did was because a case or two of the measles were going around Canada and they scared me into doing it.
