PCOS Buddies (10 BFP)

Braven I didn't hav spotting but I had short AF like 2-3 days and felt like met lengthened that. My cycles were regular do I didn't see any other improvement but my blood test showed that my LH was going down which was the issue. Did end up getting pregnant with clomid tho.

Hope you're all well ladies.

Onto cycle 6. Had a 33 day cycle this time but still no ovulation. Not sure if it is a good sign that the cycles are shortening?

Cycle 3 was over 130 days, cycle 4 was 37 days and cycle 5 was 33 days so shorter by 4 days. Is that good?

Last day of femera. I go in Wednesday for my mid cycle check to see if my follies grew. Trying to remain positive. :)

I think that's great, it means ur cycles are regulating. What have u been doing to regulate them?

Fingers crossed for you jbuggx for Wednesday's scan x

Golden - just a decent multivitamin (wellwoman plus) and reducing my sugar intake a bit. Not had any meds yet. I decided to wait and see what gynae say - if they don't want to do anything then I will get inositol and black cohosh.

Have you started a pregnancy journal? How is it all going? X

Betty Rubble, can you please share what you know about Black Cohosh? I found some at the pharmacy with Vitex but I don't really want to take Vitex. Thanks.

From what the ladies on this thread told me - someone correct me if I'm wrong:

vitex reduces prolactin and increases LH

black cohosh lowers LH

So because my LH is already high, I need black cohosh. It depends on which of your bloods were high x

Only take black cohosh the first 12 days of your cycle. It can cause a miscarriage. I got pregnant using it this way the first month.

Betty.Rubble, didnt start a pregnancy journal, probably wont do one. Trying to stay off internet so i dont read mc stories and worry myself more and more. I dont have symptoms and i dont feel pregnant yet:shrug:

Vitex shouldnt be used unless you know that u have prolactin problem and not LH

Black cohosh is like herbal clomid, doesnt effect LH. I think it makes u produce more estrogen like clomid does.

I would personally try inositol and royal jelly, if you wanna regulate things but not mess up with hormone levels drastically.

Ugggh! Only 6dpo and really trying hard to not POAS. I know it would be useless, but I really want to... Why do we do this to ourselves? Why can't we just be blissfully unaware until we are 6 weeks pregnant? Lol

6 weeks? I'd like to be blissfully unaware until like 16 weeks haha

I'm not too sure about my blood tests but I'll ask my doctor next time for a copy.

If I take Metformin can I take inositol too?

I don't want to mess my cycles up. I'm currently fairly regular but have longer cycles. I guess something to make the ovulation stronger.

That is true!! Then I wouldn't be worried over every little twitch and cramp... Lol all the real fun starts after 16 weeks anyway lol

Oh that would be awesome not knowing until 16weeks! Just go for scan n get the gender right away.

I think I gained two pounds this week, is it too early to start gaining?

I'd be okay not knowing until I was in labour lol, less time to worry :)

I would still want to experience a little bit of pregnancy, but 6 months might be the perfect time :) Then you only have a few months to worry, but also prepare. :)

Right now I just can't seem to get past the slow moving clock to get out of this TWW...

I'm kinda with Taz on this one. I worried so much when I was pregnant. Of course then I'd worry if I did anything when I didn't know if was pregnant. Eh!

This cycle is going so slow. I'm so over this phase.

Ok – so I’ve done some soul searching and I’m going to be switching my status from TTC to WTT. (but I hope I’m still welcome, because I love chatting with all of you and watching your bumps grow!!) I just have a lot of health things going on and me and my husband are both morbidly obese and we are trying to make our lifestyles more “baby friendly”. WE started TTC after a pregnancy scare because we realized we wanted it. And now, after a MC, we realize we need to put in the actual work first before trying...

However, today I did go to the gyno today to make sure that everything was fine after the MC 3 weeks ago. He did an ultrasound and said that my uterus was a “clean vacant cavity” so that’s a good thing  This is the first time I’ve actually seen a gyno as my endo and primary care have always taken care of my PCOS. He wanted to go ahead and check my ovaries and said that one looks almost perfect and healthy and the other is just a PCOS riddled mess with a full pearly necklace… lol. I did like him a lot and he was very helpful. After hearing that I had been off of BC for only 3 months, he still offered clomid today if I wanted it and told me that he would do whatever necessary to start TTC. I talked to him about my WTT plan and he was on board. He said that I can schedule a follow up at any time and could definitely come in if I did get pregnant, but he didn’t need to actually see me for another exam for about a year because he said I seemed to know all my facts and know all my research and that it would be more frequent once we did start TTC. Overall, it was good to see that once ovary is working just fine and that is the best I could have hoped for! 

Atuck2, im glad u are staying with us:hugs: Definitly take time to get urself and ur body ready for a baby. I kinda wish DH had weight problems so we would focus on diet and exercise together. Thats why i think you are so lucky that you got your husband to support you and go thru the changes together.

Your gyno sounds like he knows his stuff and hey clomid is always available when u are ready! which is awesome. I highly suggest you to watch pcos diet videos on youtube, so encouraging to see what other pcos ladies have done to feel better and have a baby. :happydance: Whenever you need, we are here for u:hugs:
