PCOS Buddies (10 BFP)

You're more than welcome atuck, we're all here to support each other. I'm glad your appointment went well, your dr sounds nice. It's really nice you and your OH can do this together, and hopefully you'll be be ready to ttc before you know it x

That's what I'm really hoping, but now I'm just concerned because I told my gyno that I was prescribed two different types of insulin for diabetes and he wasn't pleased. He kept saying that my ovaries aren't going to like that and may actually start creating more testosterone and cysts. Now, my next goal is to talk to the endo to make sure that my testosterone levels aren't increasing.

I just ordered iodine supplements and myo inositol powder (which can also help with insulin sensitivity) to start taking next month. OH and I have decided to sit down this weekend and create a schedule and meal plan and everything we need to get our bodies ready. We will be putting the plan into action full force on 08/01 :)

On CD9 here and feeling ovary pains.

Started inositol 3 days ago now. I got the Jarrow's powder. Started on 1.8g for 2 days and now gone up to 3.6g (1.8g twice daily). Hoping to ovulate this time. How quickly did inositol take to work for you ladies?

Hope you're all well x

I want to say within the first 10-14 days. I started slow though and built up to 4g 2x a day with choline. It brought AF on and then next cycle had me ovulate cd20 and the next cd18. Currently cd11 on my third cycle with it and waiting to ovulate. Hoping its sooner.

I'm so glad it's working so well for you ladies. I'm on cd 9 after my increased dose of clomid and I can definitely feel it working. I'm hoping for our in the next 3-5 days.

Hope you have a strong eggy!

Time is flying so fast. Next month I'll start with the BBT and maybe OPKs. Can't believe it. 5 months until we start trying!

Is it better to start it slow? I was just going to jump in at 4g since that was the recommended dose.

Krissie really hope the stronger dose helps, that's all I did different this time and I also felt a strong ovulation.

Betty I noticed a difference within a week or so, I didn't measure though, just but 1/2 teaspoon in 4 drinks a day x

Krissie I hope u get a really strong egg this time! I feel good about this cycle for u:hugs:

I took 4G inositol right away, since it doesn't have nasty side effects like metformin you don't need to start slowly. Also pay attention to your vitamin D! One of my friend was keep having chemicals and her gyno decided that it's because of low vit D and now she is 4 months pregnant without problems.

Thanks ladies. There is vitamin D in my multivitamin thankfully.

Might take 1/2 a teaspoon 4 times a day... Guess it encourages me to drink more. Is there any risk of overdosing it?

I don't think so. I was reading other uses for it and some of the dosing for other things (I forget what) was 17,000g a day! But for PCOS it's just 4. So even if you get a little more it won't hurt.

I think some ppl take up to 20g for anxiety so I'm sure the dose will be fine.

I noticed taking in the morning 2g decreased my appetite

are u taking prenatals? im 100% sure that prenatals made me eat so much

I'm not. I take inositol, choline, vit d, vit c, calcium & fiber, magnesium, b complex, zinc, b-12, iron, folate and a probiotic. I think that's it haha

woaaa i thought i was taking lots of pills! Im down to only prenatals and honestly it feels so nice to take one pill and not worry about opening million bottles every time.

Once we ttc (as in we've done our inseminations and are in the tww) I'll switch to prenatals, fish oil, probiotic and iron as I'm anemic)It is a lot of pills at the moment lol

I have low vitamin D and have been on the mega dose weekly from PCP for the last few months.

I just got my iodine supplements in and still waiting on my inositol and I need to go get magnesium. Trying a lot of supplements and slowly integrating them one at a time to see if they start improving my health.

Currently AF is late with no sign of her...

I was contemplating including iodine in my supplements as my thyroid is always borderline.
