Hi all:flower:

I have just discovered I have PCOS after trying to get a diagnosis for irregular bleeding and bleeding after sex (although I am pretty sure that is not a symptom for PCOS). I have bad skin, thin hair and awful mood swings :muaha:

Myself and my partner are going to begin TTC#2 when AF finishes, my doctor told me to start trying and if there is no joy within 9 months to go back and look at medication etc.

I have read you are able to help symptoms with diets so wondered if any of you have tried this approach and what diet you follow? It is all new to me and a bit of a mind field!

Soph- there is a lot of success following a pcos diet. Which emphasizes no sugar and complex carbs. I personally follow a low carb diet (about 50-75 g). But I have pretty severe insulin resistance.

Afm, still waiting on af. My temps are still crazy high so I have no idea what's going on. I even took 2 hpt since I have been so tired and my high bbt. But they were negative. I stopped progesterone last Thursday so af should be coming.

Golden yours look like mine when I got a opk back in November just I conceived baby.

Good luck. Got my fingers crossed. Have u been you using ov tests every month ?

Sounds like Endo to me but how did they diagnose pcos? bad skin and thin hair, mood swings are pcos symptoms but never heard of bleeding after sex.

Was it easy conceiving the the first one?

Im following pcos diet too. I definitely feel great, got better skin and losing weight. Basically, no refined sugar, no dairy, no refined carbs, no processed food. As far as carbs go, I only eat gluten free complex carbs like yam, bulgur, brown rice, brown pasta...etc It will be a big change bur honestly its not so hard to follow.

Today definitely looks positive. :happydance:

Do you get soft stool around ovulation time? I always get it before af but lately im getting it the day of positive opk:shrug: I hav been constipated since Friday and today had soft stool so im assuming its estrogen related.

Goldenratio - I had an ultrasound where the diagnosed my PCOS, the bleeding after sex has settled down so the doctor didn't really know what to put the down to :dohh:

It took 14 months to conceive my DD, that was with my ex-husband.

I have been looking for plans or something to follow but couldn't see much. Maybe I am best to try and make one myself. Like you said it seems like such a big change - but obviously totally worth it if it helps! :cloud9:

How long have you been diagnosed with PCOS if you don't mind me asking?

I was diagnosed with pcos 4 months ago, and started pcos diet right away but i hav been taking metformin for 2.5 months now.

My ultrasound results were clean but i got LH:FSH ratio at 5:1 which means pcos.

DH already got his SA and all good, my cycles are regular but im assuming LH:FSH ratio is messing things p for me. Or i got blocked tubes! thats the only thing left that i havent checked.

I have never really paid attention. I know around af I usually do.

My neck/jaw is all broke out which is a classic af sign as well so I am still hoping she shows soon. I am a bit crampy today so maybe that is a good sign.

ugh i get those break outs too, btw my temp usually doesnt dip until end of af. But who knows! maybe a little bean gonna surprise u:hugs:

Golden that is definitely positive. Have you had a positive like that before ?

Pregnancy is going well. Baby boy is very active. Thank you for asking.

How is your appointments going ? Have they put a plan in place for you

Yea, I think the one two times I was temping and ovulated my temp did go down the same day af arrived. Which honestly I am feeling much better today about it all. I did take two pregnancy tests though. Between my exhaustion, lack of af and nausea I was actually surprised it was negative.

She will probably show on Friday since CD 2 is always awful for me and I have plans on Saturday. :haha:

Still no AF for me....only 10 days to go until my doctors appointment so I'm still hoping that she will hold off until then. Every little cramp and twinge makes me think she is coming and that I'll have to wait another 35+ day cycle before TTC. I've had *almost* positive OV tests for well over a week now so I know that my hormones are out of whack. I've been working on cutting all sugars/processed foods out of my diet again. I don't have much weight to lose, but following the PCOS diet is the only way that any weight I am holding on to will come off.

I hear ya, even on pcos diet weight loss is slower than a turtle.

Maybe ur doctor can give u metformin then, i heard it regulates cycles too. I never had irregular cycles so not sure what helps:shrug:

Yeah I have heard that it will reset cycles as well, I would like some more information about why my doctor doesn't believe I need metformin. It didn't reset my cycles when I took it with my daughter, maybe that is why, but that was a different doctor who prescribed then. I was only on it for 2 months before she prescribed me clomid though and I did take the met until I was 12 weeks pregnant. I'm making a list before I go to the doctor this time so that I don't forget to ask these questions. I think of these things before and then I get in there and can't think of a single thing to ask.

Jinxed myself by saying no AF, came shortly after my post. Now I'm likely out for May cycle unless by some miracle my inositol, vitamin D, Vitamin B, PCOS diet, exercise routine makes me actually ovulate on my own, kind of doubting it, but there is always a chance! Now I can just hope that AF decides to arrive on time for the next cycle and not make me wait until halfway through June to start clomid.

Can you ladies tell me what your PCOS diet involves? as we move on to Cycle 15, I am just losing hope.. :(
