So I've been having insane itching yesterday and today, it was SO bad yesterday that I was crying. It was worst on my arms and legs and shoulders, and wouldn't go away even after I showered and put lotion on everywhere I didn't think it was something to be too worried about, but now I am. I've also been having horrid hot flashes for a few weeks, which make sleeping really difficult. Should I be worried? I am leaving town for a week on Saturday, should I call my doctor?

Lol yeah, it's confusing. My doctor says my actual due date is the 23rd, so that's what my ticker is set to, but since it's only a few days difference she didn't bother changing it in their computer system. I didn't bother changing my ticker since your due date is an estimate.

Eh, could be better. I'm itchy and exhausted, partially because of being anemic.

Just found out my bile salts are 9.6 which I believe is still low, but a definite diagnosis according to my dr. My liver function is still showing as normal. Starting medication today and then weekly non stress tests.

Hey all! I went to see my midwife about my itchiness today. She, of course, tested me for OC right away and then did a non-stress test on me. I won't know the results of the blood test until sometime early next week... Blah, I'm so anxious to know .

Hello Everyone!

I hope it is okay to post this in here....even though i'm not in third trimester.

I had my daughter 15 months ago and was diagnosed with OC at 33 weeks...I'm just looking for anyone who may have gone on to have another baby after having had OC in their first pregnancy?

I am not currently pregnant...just looking for advice, call it forward planning!! LOL

Also...If anyone newly diagnosed wants some reassurance or questions asked, feel free. Although OC gave me a very very difficult pregnancy I went on to have a wonderful birth and beautiful baby - so please don't feel scared xxx

Odd question here... As I've said, I have been tested for OC and will get the results back sometime this week. I'm just wondering if anyone with OC has experienced vaginal itching along with it? I have been itching for about a month down there and it has been looked at by both my midwife and OB and nothing is wrong.. no infection or anything! So, I'm just wondering if it could be part of OC? It's driving me INSANE.

yes i had it with my DD at 36 w and no again with this pregnancy cx

I have just found out I have OC, well the Doctor is treating me for this as my LFT blood tests keep rising. I will get my bile acid results tomorrow.

My question is what treatment did you ladies receive for this?

I suffer with excema on my hands and it's so bad at the moment, Im scratching it in my sleep and making it bleed, So itchy. Gonna mention to the MW tomorrow cos I wouldnt know if it was just the excema or OC.

Hey, just wondering...is the itching stopping you from sleeping or is not being able to sleep another symptom? I have to go and get checked for this tomorrow phoned up triage tonight as I have been scratching for 2 weeks, thought it was bites at first but its got worse and I'm making myself bleed now x

The itching makes falling asleep hard and it wakes me up several times a night. it is about noon here and I feel like my head is going to fall on the desk. Not sure how much longer I can keep this up.

Hmmm I will pay attention to why I'm not sleeping tonight, I do get quite itchy in bed, I hope it eases up for you somehow x

I had this last pregnancy and am getting the same old symptoms again - have had bloods done regularly as a precaution and am waiting on the most recent results, so at least that's covered!

Just wanted to say to the people asking about where you feel the itching - I get it on my arms, legs and stomach rather than hands and feet, so still get checked even if you don't fit the mold!

me 2 i had it in last preg and now my bile salts are fluctuating i feel itchy on arms legs chest and belly and not just at night now this time round x
