It is/was my due date today (exactly 1 year from when I was in hospital having a mc) I was sure our little girl would come today and I wasnt wrong
I woke at 6.15am with a contraction
They started coming 3 mins apart straight away and lasting 20-30 seconds I had 2 paracetamols and got in the bath
Contractions then went to 5minutes apart lasting 1and a half minutes
I rang hospital they said to come up as it was third baby and could come quick
We arrived at the delivery ward at 8.20am I was admitted at 8.50am and she came at 9.08am after just 3 pushes I didnt have time for any other pain relief other than gas but we are both very well and she weighed 8lb 14oz
We are just waiting to be discharged

Hi ladies i have been awake since 4.15am this morning after needing a wee, i began to get crampy period pains and then at 5am i had diarrhea, i began to think is this it my back then began to hurt asmuch as my cramps so i ran myself a nice warm bath and the pains eased off..

I got back onto my bed and yes the cramps started again fading and coming back but not getting worse in pain, my back was still really hurting..

I nodded back off about 9am and everytime i woke i felt crampy, but nothing at all now lol..

Maybe he is just getting me ready for the big day lol...

Its been so long since i went into labour naturally i'd forgotton it was 8 years ago and 6 years ago i was induced so was a bit different... Gotta feeling he'll be here by this time next week

Any one else had anything like this? x

Hey! Congratulations!!! Fantastic news!! And wow for the labour, super quick that was!!! excellant! And a lovely healthy weight too!!! Hope you got back home ok and we shall wait eagerly for photos!! xxx

hi ooh misrich it sounds like your getting ready, I know what you mean about it being so long you kind of forget how you felt when labour started last time, I forgot how painful the after pains were and god they have been painful but started to calm down now, our little girl is so chilled its lovely , hope you's are all well

I must ask.....after pains!!!?? nobody has mentioned after pains to me! I'm struggling to imagine what labour would be like, now there's things such as after pains!!!! aaarrrgggghhhh! lol Oh dear, I really haven't given this whole thing much thought! lol I'm going to be in for a big shock I think!! lol....bye for now, I'm going to stick my head back down into the sand!! hehe xx

Awwwwwwww V well you get labour pains and then aonce baby is born a few minutes laer you get pains again for placenta... but then you get very menstrual after pains for the first week or so and you can bleed for upto 6 weeks but i havent ever bleed that long. Its quite uncomfy for the 1st week but does get better, plenty of paainkillers in the cupboard!!

Hi Ladies, cannot believe I am gonna be 13 weeks gone this Thurs, I have my dating scan tomorrow at 9.00am and am so excited!! Hope you are all well, I silently read all the posts on the VR wags page, but kinda feel akward going in there now being pregnant, I know some of the girls in there have had bad news and I feel like me being there kinda rubs salt in the wound, so I think I will post in here more frequently now xxx

Hi Ladies, cannot believe I am gonna be 13 weeks gone this Thurs, I have my dating scan tomorrow at 9.00am and am so excited!! Hope you are all well, I silently read all the posts on the VR wags page, but kinda feel akward going in there now being pregnant, I know some of the girls in there have had bad news and I feel like me being there kinda rubs salt in the wound, so I think I will post in here more frequently now xxx

Ow how lovely, you get to see your lil bubba...

Im exactly the same i browse through but rarely post there now as i feel akward too...

Aww no. I must admit I've never really thought about it but Iguess it makes sense to have pains afterwards, after all the 'action' that it has been put through donwn there. lol.

Im going to say Boy as your scan pics look similar to my lil mans at 12weeks, but its only a guess really.

Glad everything went well, now you can start your countdown to your mid trimester scan xx

OMG! 17 days to go
Then we get to meet our little miracle man, see what he looks like and smell that baby smell all over him
Bought some more Mat pads today and got some moses basket flat sheets as its still quite warm in our bedroom.

We are all so excited now x​

Thought this might be helpful, as i can never remember which blanket for which temp...​

24 degrees C or more Sheet only 0.5 tog


21 degrees C Sheet plus one blanket 1 tog


18 degrees C Sheet plus two layers of blanket 2.5 tog


16 degrees C Sheet plus three layers of blanket 2.5 tog ​

If a blanket is folded over in 2 it counts as "2" blankets!​

Hi there my partner had a VR yesterday and his doctor said we can resume our normal sexlife after a week. This seems quite soon is that what your doctors said as well?
