I've already got one child but I've just miscarried our second child at 5.5 weeks. If you've had a miscarriage are you more susceptible to having another? I'm concerned for next time

I'm sorry about your loss, hun. Since you have already had a baby, your chances of miscarriage won't increase by much. I think I read somewhere that if you had one miscarriage you still have an 80% chance of carrying it to term (and since you have an 80-85% chance of conceiving without birth control it stands to reason that there is not much difference).

One miscarriage is very, very common. Only about 5% of women have two in a row and only about 2% have three. You will most likely be fine.
