Hi ladies, sounds like there have been lots of appointments and stuff.
Tansey - welcome back, sorry this wasn't your month for a BFP. Hope you're settling into the new place.
Laura - sorry you have to wait 9 weeks, how frustrating! I've had an HSG, didn't hurt at all in my case (took ibuprofen an hour before, and the dr was gentle), it was quite embarrassing though, felt more invasive that an internal ultrasound. It's a good test for checking out the womb
Fluffyblue - sounds like your drs are on the ball and thorough, which is good. Are you looking forward to Xmas?
AS1 - as others say, septum can be cause of m/c, hope it's a step forward for you. Know what you mean about it being frustrating when things aren't found earlier, but I understand that with ERPCs etc they can't see very much.
Chilli and Poppy - nice to (virtually) meet you, sorry it's in these circumstances though.
Poppy, re. appointments with specialists, they normally ask for a history of your m/c, so it's worth writing this down in advance and bringing any info, e.g. from scans, since then you don't have to go through it verbally. Is also worth reading up on the various tests that can be done - somewhere on this or another thread is a link to info from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for couples with recurrent m/c, which describes many of the tests. There are also some good books, e.g. by Lesley Regan. At the appointment you'll want to ask about tests and how long the results take etc. There is a blood test for your partner too, to check for genetic abnormalities.
I have made an appointment with a local counsellor, as have been struggling a bit, so am (strangely) looking forward to that. Have also made a private appointment with the specialist to ask some questions that have been in my head since my problem (dicky ovaries / low progesterone) was diagnosed and my recent chemical pregnancy. Feel like I need to know whether or not, if the current treatment doesn't work, there are any other options, so I can start to work through stuff. Apart from that am looking forward to the odd drink in December!
