I want to do a retro sweet hamper for my Dad for Christmas.

Ive been trying to think of what to include in it and so far the only things I can think of are:

*Black Jacks
*Fruit Salads
*Parma Violets
*Wham bar
*Flying saucers
*Dib dab

Does anyone have any other ideas and preferably where they have seen them to buy them :flower:

Sherbet fountains? Bubblys?
Chocolate icy cups? Cherry drops?
I don't know if those are 'retro' but they're pretty old :haha:
How about those little packets of popping candy were they called fuzz buzz or something.
Spearmint chews.
Mmmm I want sweets!! Great gift idea. X

Eta: they're called fizz wiz not fuzz buzz :haha:

We got a retro box of sweets recently that has Refreshers in it. Hadn't had them for years! .

Also off the top of my head liquorice all sorts and dolly mixtures.

If you wanted to put chocolate in there what about Frys chocolate cream

We have a shop on our high street that sells all the old sweets in jars. We always have family wanting to go in there.

Anyway, liquorice whips, sherbet pips, mushrooms, sweet peanuts etc

Cola kubes, Bonbons. Gobstoppers, Animal bar chocolate....

Diffinately refreshers. Drumsticks, fruit salad. No idea if they are retro. Tesco had most of these in bags for halloween. I'm sure asda so a selection bag of them aswell.

Shrimps!
Those foamy banana sweets
Strawberry laces
Dolly mix
Pear drops

Mmm now I'm hungry :)

Thanks everyone! Got some great ideas. I got a couple of packs of refreshers, some sports mix, laces, drumstick lollies and bon bons!

I've seen some others at a sweet shop in town but they're the ones that they give you in paper bags so I'm going to wait until a few days before Christmas to nip and get those to make sure they're fresh :) x
