We're not upto much really. I'm due back at work at the start of May, just trying to finalise my part-time hours now, so spending as much time with joe as I can before I go back!

I forgot that it's the Easter holidays!! Hopefully the weather will be nice so you can be out and about with the kids.

well my gran has been visiting which has been nice. We went out for sunday lunch and scoffed 3 courses ....now we are stuffed and lazing on the sofa with a bottle of wine x

I've been reading here and there, but been too busy too reply.

Anyone have crawlers? Lennox still hasn't mastered sitting and refuses to roll from his tummy to back. He also won't eat baby food any more. All he wants to do is nurse. I think it might be cuz his gums are starting to hurt. I have not felt any teeth yet.

According to ff I'm 15dpo and yet I'm still getting . I'm thinking the O date is wrong if that's the case then I may still have another week to go before I can test, but as me and my dh haven't since the 13th I say I'm out! Oh well! It's for the best that I'm not pregnant, but it sure would have been great to be due with this baby just days before my last Angel Baby's EDD!

hi,

it has just dawned on me blake is 7months old (yesterday!) OMG!!! how quickly has tha t gone?

blake doesnt "crawl" on all 4s (he cant i have laminate floor and he slides!) BUT he has mastered moving like a seal - arms flap and then he manages to move forward! really funny. LOL!

he has top, front left almost through - you can see his gum is white but its not broke the skin yet, but we are using loads of calgel for the pain as he screams with every bottle and meal.


mom2pne - sorry to hear your not, but good news in another way at least you can spend more time with lennox.

Hope everyone's ok We had Joe weighed yesterday and he is 18lb 10 at 28 weeks!! The HV also told me I can be abit braver with weaning, he can eat anything we do, except for the usual stuff (no salt, nuts, honey etc) but I'm nervous about trying that as I'm worried he'll gag or choke.... I think we're gonna try tonight with some mashed carrot and swede, rather than pureed.

Whats everything been upto? Hope your LO's are ok x

Hi Vicks, don't worry about weaning you'll be fine. As the gag reflex in a baby is in the back of the mouth, (in an adult its in the back of the throat), you might find Joe gags a few times until he gets used to moving lumps around his mouth ... sorry if i'm telling you stuff you already know.....but i'm sure he'll be o.k and not actually choke.

hi hun,

did he try and put them to his mouth? if not he probably isnt quite ready for weaning with finger foods.

as diz put babies hardly ever choke, but they will gag. i wont lie to you it's scary to watch the 1st time but you get used to it. 1st time i grabbed blake, now i just watch incase he cant get food back into his mouth.


if teh weather picks up and stops raining we are going to the farm at the weekend!

Thanks girls!! No Amy, he didn't even pick them up. Just stared at them! OH ended up eating them in the end as he loves toast!! I'm gonna try again in a few days.

keep trying, but dont force them on him. as daft as it may sound, you eat 1 as you give them to him sohe can see "what to do".

Ah, thats a good idea! Might try that when we next offer him them. Also gonna try slices of pear, as he likes them pureed so it will hopefully be familiar to him.

WET!!!

all it has done since friday is rain! i cant even chuuck em out in out as mackenzie has just had a chest infection and his asthma is still playing up.

we did make hand puppets (99p for 2 from wilkinsons) yesterday and i also have a badge making kit and i bought chocolate n rice crispies and cake mix, so we have a few bits to do.

but if it dries we are going on a trail through woods (after bus trip to get there) with a discover nature book to see what we can find, and the woods take you into a country park which has your big boating lakes/playgrounds etc.

Hey Vicks! Can i ask about Joe and weaning, what is he sat in? izzy finds it hard to reach up to the tray on her high chair, and i think her arms must feel restricted so we put her in her walker for finger foods. Hows everything else? Hows Joe liking his room?

Yeah, he's in his highchair and thinking about it, he can hardly reach the tray. He did though once to spill all of the puree over himself lol!! I might try it in his rocker.

yea everything is ok, its his own fault..he doesnt think he needs to help much with the baby and thinks everything i bought before Chloe was born was a waste of money as we have had to buy stuff that can take a heavier baby now...how was i to know i was gonna have a 12lber?
