I guess its safe enough..........When I get low sometimes I just rinse one out with hot water and reuse-have done this off & on last 5 or 6 cycles and never had any problems.

ah right jw i guess one of the main reasons why they don't want you to reuse them is because it wont make them so much money.

Hi please put me down for 13th June for testing, first month of using softcups- the disposable ones but yeah I thought about reusing them too as they seem quite robust!

Welcome Lozmo!!!! Yeah, I suspect that they reccomend not reusing more for profit than for our health.

ah no worries was more just wondering, i bought a 6pack of softcups today so using them def this month, i think my partner thinks they are kinda weird but if they work then i don't care, also using pre-seed as well this month

currently take:

Prenatal vitamins
folic acid
aspirin
agnus castus

using:
fertility monitor
Ovulation clearblue tests
temp/cm/cervix charting.

Yep, I am! I have been trying to BD in ways that are considered helpful for a tilted uterus.....i.e. *ahem* doggy-style... but I thought trying to insert a softcup in that position would be too hard! I have been turning over, inserting, then turning back over to lie on my stomach with elevated hips for about 15 minutes.

TTCBaby-We are in Cape Coral (near Naples). The Bahamas is special to me b/c that is where DH proposed (Atlantis). We've been to Nassau 3 times.

LuckyD-I've put in a softcup after BD Doggie style .........its not bad at all.

aww titi that is wonderful...I actually live on another island in the bahamas....Freeport, grand bahama. But I have spent tons of time in Nassau, its a great place.

first time u guys got softcups were you put off by the size. mine seem very large

Oh yeah....I think put off was the wrong phrase...more like....where the f*&k am I supposed to put that?????? HAHAHAHA.....it all worked out though and shockingly enough they fit....it might be hard to get out though, I had trouble gettting it out and kinda had a bit of a panic in the bathroom. So I laid down in the bed and pulled it out that way instead. Good Luck!

well putting it in was a bit messy cuz I p ut some preseed in the cup and I didnt get it in right the first time so I had to pull it out and try again so that got messy. Taking it out I just made sure I held it upright and it was fine. It really does take practice...that is the only way to get used to it...remember dont do it like a tampon.....push it in and down, towards the butt and then up.

For me, it's not messy to put in, but definitely messy to get out. So, here's the advice I was given and has worked for me.

Sit on the toilet and bare down like you're going to the bathroom. This will help push the softcup down closer so you can get one finger in and hook under the rim. While continuing to bare down, pull forward, not down so much. I've never managed to do this without spilling the contents of the cup, which is why I would never remove it anywhere other than on the loo.

But once you remove it once or twice, it suddenly makes a lot more sense and is easy. And I was extremely unsure about using them in the first place. So I figure if I could do it, anyone can!

thanks for advice, feeling little deflatted, i bought single use pre-seed and got something called PRe' and apprently it was the same but not, it doesn't promote sperm function which means its not the bloody same, but apprently still helps keep sperm healthy and alive.... not sure if worth still using????????

I put the preseed in the cup only because dh didnt really like how the preseed felt during bding....so that was the compromise.
