Stopped BCP & TTC! Whos with me?!

Just a quick check in. I've been working on my presentation all day (with an hour break here and there for brain rest) and I have to get back to it. I have to finish the PPT and then I have to practice the presentation and then I Haev to record a 30-40 min presentation and upload it for peer review from classmates. :dohh: SO MUCH TO DO. I should have beenw orking on it all week but my exhaustion was overwhelming.

Last night I went to bed at 8:30pm and didn't get up until 7:30am this morning!

Flueky - :hugs: :( I was so sure this was your month.

Gagrl - those lines are looking good!

Faye - keeping things crossed!

Angel: Way to be productive! I feel your pain-- I have a paper for my master's class and report cards looming over my head. Not sure when I'm going to get it done. Thought I'd sneak away while visiting the family this weekend, but it hasn't happened!

Still no AF over here. Starting to feel a little crazy. On the one hand I'm listening to my body and feeling weird. Cramping and pinching for the last 4 days, which is new for me. And today I felt very clammy, hot and a bit like I was getting a cold. I took my temperature at like 3 PM and it was 99.06-- SUPER high for me so I thought I must be coming down with something. But my symptoms have since subsided somewhat.

But on the other hand, I realize that I'm probably nuts. It's probably just my LP getting longer and healthier and AF will be here before I know it. I haven't been really tempted to test because I just don't think it's possible that I could be pregnant and I don't want to jump the gun...

Faye- why do you think that??

Angel- I'm glad you see the light at the end of the tunnel

AFM, took my first opk was a bit early today around noon so I took another at 3pm... Even darker

Glad you're OPKs are getting darker! And I don't know... just can't imagine it would only take one cycle of actually trying... and I'm a bit of a pessimist/realist!? When do you guys think I should test?

Yes you definately should test, ya never know but at leas you can rule it out.

How many do are you

Faye- I would test!! Your temps are still high.. I am dying to know lol

Faye - I say test! Like.... now! :haha: I would love some line porn. Your temps look good, and you've had good timing, so it is possible.

Gagrl - those lines are getting very nice! Hoping you get a + Soon!!

AFM - My sister started her first round of meds to induce ovulation last month, and it didn't work the first time, so they switched her meds and this cycle it appears to have worked! They just confirmed on Friday that she ovulated recently. She's been making sure to BD every 2-3 days all cycle, so we're hoping that she caught the egg and she'd only be about a month behind me. Unfortunately she isn't temping and with her PCOS she didn't do OPKs because she didn't think she was going to ovulate anyway, so we can't confirm specifically Ovulation day, but now we are just in waiting mode. She was asking me all sorts of questions yesterday, how long sperm last, how long eggs last, what her chances would be, etc. I'm really hoping she gets pregnant soon because I'd love for our kids to be close in age.

I am 13 DPO today. Temp was still up this morning. Cramping is much less noticeable today with just a few pinches. CM is a bit creamier today. Still experiences soreness in lymph nodes on side of breasts and today experiencing some major soreness in left hip.

We are on way home right now from spending weekend with family. I guess I could test tonight but that won't be FMU... and could still get false positive at only 13 DPO? And I feel like I won't want to test before work this week because if I get a BFN I'll likely be bummed? Feel very conflicted. Maybe I will get AF on the way home... who knows!?

I never got my first BFPs on FMU. From the research I've done, FMU isn't necessary as long as you have a decent concentration of urine. So if you can get a 3-4 hour hold then testing in the evening is just as good as FMU.

You could certainly get a false negative. I've seen false negatives up through 20DPO! Just depends on how late implantation happened and how slow/quick HCG is forming.

Do you have an idea of how long your LP usually is?

My rough estimate is that my first LP was 9 days and my second was 11. This is based on nipple soreness that I felt right after O, so not scientific at ALL! But this is only my third cycle, so it's possible that my LP is getting longer... This was my first cycle charting temps and actively TTC...

Honestly I think I will test using a FRER tonight and see what happens. It this point I'm making myself NUTS-- everyday I seem to have a new symptom. Today on top of swollen lymph nodes under my arm pits, I am having some major left side hip pain. I'm prepared for the worst, but I feel like if I don't test tonight I will make myself nuts at work and will be totally distracted....

Well guys... just tested. First with a FRER and then with CB (not digital) because I was afraid of false positive. Both were pretty blaring positives. Holy crap-ola.

I am IN SHOCK right now. As is my husband. We are excited, but in a bit of disbelief...!

Don't even know what my next steps are supposed to be.... Like literally. Do I order more pregnancy tests? Call the doctor? Start researching all the things I'm supposed to not eat/drink now. AHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I knew it!!! I totally thought you were.

Faye- I knew it!!! I had the same pinching cramps when i got my bfp. Congratulations!!! I'd call your doc and see when they want to see yiu- mine wouldn't see me till around 7-8 weeks but every doc is different. so happy for you!!

OMG!!! Congrats!!! :happydance: :headspin: I was so sure! :D

Your next step is to call your doctor. Let them know you just received a positive pregnancy test and would like to schedule an appointment to confirm. You can call your PCP for that if you want, or call your OB if you already have one. Most OB's won't see you until 8-10 weeks (depending on OB) but your PCP may be willing to do a confirmation test. If they do, then they'll probably do a urine test, and if that's positive may do a blood test and then a follow up to check that hcg is rising. They may not, it depends on doctor (my experience is very different as I'm high risk).

Once you do that, then call your OB and schedule that appointment. Again, they probably won't see you until 8 weeks. Just a thought, since your cycle has been pretty long your date based on LMP will probably be off a little, so they'll date your "8 weeks" based on LMP, so when you go in at 8 weeks your bean may not be "8 week size". That's just because of the cycle length.

CONGRATS!!!

PS: Where's our line porn!?!?!?? :trouble: We want to see the tests!!

Oh yes angel is right about the LMP- I knew when I ovulated so at my first appt I knew I was 6.5 weeks based off ovulation but they thought I was 8.5 weeks based off LMP. So when the ultrasound showed a 6.5 week baby I didn't freak!

I honestly think Satan is messing with me month. I woke up yesterday with a bit of pain on my temple/eye socket on my left eye when I looked to the far right. It doesn't happen all the time, very intermittently, but I'm calling my eye doc today to get an appointment. I'm still dealing with that sinus issue which could be part of the symptoms.

I'm also having to take my 18 year old cat to the vet this morning.. She hasn't eaten in two days and acting very lethargic and her nose is completely dry.. I worked in vets all through college and have seen this plenty of times... But still keeping hope.
