That's a real nasty history ellie i agree that contraception is awful for some girls, many have no problem but it screwed my body up a load too! I used to have heavy painful periods, went on the pill at 16 and since coming off to ttc they've been light and pathetic so I basically can't sustain a pregnancy because my lining is thin :/ hormones, who needs them!

I know for sure now I will never use hormone contraceptives ever again! I just cannot do it to my body again. I feel for you and any other woman having issues conceiving due to the pill messing up their bodies! GL for this cycle xxx

Yeah I've decided never to use it again, until I'm ready to say I'm done with kids! I'd rather have them close together than suffer this endless ttc nightmare again! Funny how I felt fine on the pill, now I've just gained weight and become an emotional wreck (the emotions is just ttc not lack of pill I think)

I'm another who probably won't go back on the pill. I didn't have any major side effects, but I've found that I've learnt more about my body while not being on it than I ever did on it!

afm - My Dr has referred me to the EPAU for a scan next week because of some pain I've been having on my left side. She wanted me in this week, but that was the earliest they could see me. She didn't seem massively concerned, but wanted me to get checked out just in case. Still, she said if the pain gets worse then to call her ASAP. I'm hoping the pain is my bowels or even a cyst.. Anything but an ectopic. They won't see much at the scan, but hopefully the sac in the right place at the very least! I'm still waiting on the midwife to call for my booking in appointment.

Ellie, what a sad and frustrating history you've had! I'm so sorry you've had to go through all of that. I agree with everyone else on here, I really don't want to ever go back on the pill again. DH and I have already agreed that he'll have a vasectomy once we're done having kids, so the question just becomes what to do between kid 1 and kid 2. Oh well, we have plenty of time to figure that out!

AFM, AF arrived this morning, 3 days early! How weird. It's okay though, my HSG was scheduled for what I thought was going to be cd7 but will now actually be cd10. Which is perfect, because they like to do it anytime cd7-10, so I won't have to reschedule it! Yay!

Man i'm gonna have a LONG 2ww, my boobs started getting sore 2days before ov !! They're just getting worse, I can't understand why or how especially since my progesterone is so slow to kick in after ov they're gonna be untouchable by the weeks up I think !

In regards to the pill, at first I swore to never be on it again but now I'm rethinking that. We want two but I'll just say DH is pretty lazy about preventing and we don't want another right away so I don't know if I'll get back on the pill again. I was a complete monster coming off of it (like seriously I thought DH may leave me) but the pill was on, actually regulated me really well. I felt good on it and I didn't have AF. Most likely we'll just NTNP and see what happens, then after #2 DH is getting snipped.

In relation yo the pill, I was on it for 10 years and never had any issues with it. We want our kids close together so I won't be going back on the pill and once we have our 2 I think DH will be getting snipped, unless he decides he wants 3 ( which is how many I want). Then we will wait 😀

Well Patience, it looks like you were right. Doesn't appear to be AF after all, just spotting I guess? I've just never had clots with spotting so it threw me off (sorry, tmi, I know). I guess I'll just wait for it to start on Saturday now as anticipated.

I guess DH and I have never talked about how far apart we'd like our kids ideally to be. I personally have always wanted 2-3 years, but I think that's because my sister and I are 3 years apart and it's always felt perfect. I'm just happy he's wanting to get snipped after our second, that's so helpful!

Welcome Ellie! Goodness you have been through a lot. I had endo right off the bat as well. I'd been off and on the pill since I was 14, the latest being Nuvaring for about 3 years. I did the laparoscopy and depo lupron to boot. I've been there so I am rooting for you over here!

I'm so sorry AF got you Turtle and Charlie! I hope you ladies can treat and pamper yourselves.

DH has said he'd want 2-3 years between kids, but we're really not sure about it now. I think it's something we'll have to come back to later. I think we'd be okay with one if that's how it worked out, though.

About kids, we are unsure right now if we want 1 or 2. If we go for 2, I think 3 years is what I'd like, so we'll have to use protection of some sort, just... I don't want hormones

Hmm, it's been on a steady descent for a few days now, it's still not low enough to be a worry but being your first ov you may end up with a short lp, or like charmed where her crosshairs vanished once she had enough temps below the coverline. I think you're fine for now, but might have a shorter lp
