Stopping BCP to TTC***Updates & Progress/Noted Changes Since Stopping BCP***24BFPs***

Ooh so you won't be getting another appt for 3 weeks?? Or will they still be blood testing etc? Damn your mum is as bad as us lot, Dr Google will tell you everything you want to hear :haha:

This is the confusing thing.. The GP said that normally the midwives like to see people between 8-10wks & as he's dated me as 9wks, said that they'll want to see me asap to do the booking in appointment and do some bloods! So I guess I could have the appointment within the next week.. I don't know if they'll do the bloodwork, see that I am not 9wks & do a dating scan then or wait until I'm further along to date me. I guess they can't book me in for a 12wk scan if they don't know when I'm 12wks :haha: I guess I'll find out when they call! xx

Patience, I'm sorry that your temps didn't do what you wanted them too! :( It looks like your temp this morning was the same, so do you think that means you did O after all? What did you decide about starting the cream? I love, love that saying from your friend! It's so sweet!

Danna, that's GREAT news!!! Your chart definitely looks like you O'd, congrats!!! I'm so excited for you! I really hope you end up with your bfp but if not, then I hope this at least means the ball is rolling for you right now! :happydance: Also, your new avatar pic keeps throwing me off! :haha:

Charmed, I agree with the other ladies...your posting (or any of the rest of you thatare pregnant now!) doesn't upset me at all!!! I honestly couldn't be happier for any of you ladies, and Charmed I really do hope you continue to stick around here as the rest have done. :) That does sound confusing (and funny!) on your dating. I tend to agree with FF about your O date and subsequently how far along you are too! I guess it could be good that they're thinking you're further along than you really are, since that gets you in to see someone quicker. Hopefully that doesn't create a panic on their end though when they try to do a scan (or the blood work, like you said)! That's too funny about your mom. :haha:

MsE, thanks! And hugs back atcha! :)

Charlie, I love your new outlook and attitude towards this! I do still hope you get your bfp this cycle, but I love how positive you're being about it even if you don't. :hugs:

Kariss, did you end up calling your Dr yet to try and request an appointment? Good luck, I really hope it goes well!

AFM, I had my colonoscopy yesterday and everything looked great...no active Crohn's. Wahoo! I knew that was the case but it's reassuring to hear anyways. So now that I'm passed that, we can go back to focusing on TTC again! :) They did a pregnancy test yesterday before the procedure just in case, since they have to sedate you for it. I was 9dpo yesterday and obviously it came back negative. I expected it to and I'm really not expecting to be pregnant this cycle as we weren't trying, but we also didn't use protection (and hit 2 days before O day as well as O day itself). So I guess there's a chance still that I am and that isn't showing up yet, but I honestly hope I'm not as then I would worry about the sedation from yesterday. AF should start on Saturday, and then DH's SA is scheduled for the 17th, and my HSG is scheduled for the 20th. I'm ready to start this testing and move on with the process, so I'm looking forward to AF's arrival so we can be on to the next steps! :)

Dr. Google to the rescue! XD

Hey ladies, when do you usually start to test? And when does the temp usually drop before AF? The day before, the day of?

Haha Turtle, felt like changing from the default picture ;P

That's great about your colonoscopy results! So next step for you is HSG then, I hope all goes well and fast!!! :)

Danna, thanks! Yep, that's the next step for me. I'm looking forward to both DH and I getting our testing done soon! I'm anxious for both of the results already! :haha: And to answer your questions, I try really hard not to test unless I'm late (which I never have been). Once I open the flood gates of testing, it's all over for me and I want to test constantly! If I stick with the "not until she's late" way of doing it, then I don't get my hopes up as much, and I save a lot of money on tests! As far as temping goes, it just depends. I only temped 3 different months, but for me, 2 out of the 3 it dropped the morning of. One of the months, it dropped the day before, then shot waaaay up the day of (giving me very high false hope!) only to start that day anyway. :/

I'm glad you had good results Turtle :) I wouldn't worry too much about the sedation this early on, I hope you get a bfp this month but you've got a great battle plan for next month if not :) it always helps me to focus on the fact I have a plan to stick to, not just endlessly trying and wondering !

I normally hold out till 10dpo, you're more than often going to see -something- by then, but obviously the longer the better :) i got my bfp at 8/9dpo last month, lots of ladies get theirs by 9 :)

Thanks Turtle! It does make sense to wait... but a Vday BFP would be so great! XD I'll only be 10dpo though, I'll see how I feel about it closer to the date. Right now I kind of enjoy this "I could be pregnant now and no one can say otherwise" haha

Yeah I looked at your charts just now and saw that very high temp the day of AF, must have been hard :(

I'm also wondering what I should say at my fertility appointement tuesday, AF won't have arrived yet, so I'm not 100% sure I O'ed ( but.. I'm still pretty sure xD)

Thank you, Patience! I honestly haven't been too worried about it either (which is why we didn't use protection this month and why I didn't care about actually hitting O day and a couple of days before hand). But I would still rather not have to worry about it at all, it would always be in the nagging in the back of my mind if so! Especially since the OBGYN told me to take the month off from trying just for that. She did say it would be more for my peace of mind than anything though so if it happens, oh well! It's not like I'd be upset about it or anything, I'm not that crazy! :haha: Having a game plan always helps me to feel more positive about things too! I'm such a type A personality, and I hate not having control over things! :haha:

Danna, remind me what your fertility appointment is all about on Tuesday again? That's the specialist, right? Maybe they can do a blood draw at that point if you're still not sure yet! That would put you at 13dpo, right? They should surely be able to tell by then if you are! And what an awesome surprise at that appointment if so! :)

Oh yeah, a VDay bfp would be so great! I don't blame you at all if you decide to test early on that day. Most of the times that I've broken down and tested early it's either because A) the day I'm testing on is special to me for one reason or another and I really want to see a bfp that day! or B) I have plans that night where I'll be drinking or something and really want to help put my mind at ease (although it's not like I'm going overboard or anything in the TWW!)

Thanks for the info Patience! so 10dpo sounds like a good plan...

Seems like we are all posting at the same time and skipping some posts xD

Yep Turtle, the specialist I was sent to because I don't O
You're right that'd be great! I'll definitly ask for that :'D

Haha, you're right that we're all posting at the same time! So then we all keep having multiple posts trying to respond to the ones that we've missed! :haha:

I soooo hope this is it for you Danna! I have everything crossed for you! :)

Yep, will update with Charmed's BFP right now, I was just waiting for her to say the words that she was ready!!!! Wow I can't believe there's only 4 to go! I have so much hope for you ladies and I know it will happen for each of you!! As always, I'm still stalking you all and sending all the :dust: I've got!

1.) You ladies are on a roll! I had 2 pages to catch up on!

Turtle so awesome on your results!!!

I'm awaiting AF sometime today, tomorrow or Thursday.... Lol. Nothing like waiting!

Danna I like your eye! :-) and I've got everything crossed!!

Hello, please may I join? I am 21 & TTC #1 after BCP. I was on Microgynon for a year before stopping in July 2014, I am on cycle #6 and this is my first cycle since having my laparoscopy & hysteroscopy to remove mild endometriosis 4 weeks ago. I am CD 11 and expecting to ovulate soon. I have been having 22 day cycles but think this one will be out of wack since having the op. I am using clearblue dual hormone fertility tests, currently on day 4 of flashing smile high fertility, still waiting for my peak. I am just taking folic acid & temped for 1 month a few months ago and then stopped but back on it this month. Baby dust to you all xx

Welcome ellelouise!

Turtle that's great news and I hope things go well for you this next month!

Danna I have my FX for you!

I'm happy to hear your appt went well Charmed. They dated me weird at my first appt too but I went by what FF said. Guess what? When they did my scan the ultrasound tech said I was exactly on point, to the day lol. I told her I charted.

Thanks, ladies! :) Charlie, nothing like waiting for sure. So when did you say you're testing? Saturday if she hasn't shown up by then?

Ellie, hi and welcome! :hi: Wow, according to our signatures, you and I have been trying for almost the exact same amount of time! Crazy! I really hope the procedures you had done are just the thing you needed, and that you get your bfp this cycle! It sounds like you're getting really close to O day, good luck! :)

Welcome Ellie! Hope you're doing well after the surgery. Have the drs not checked why your cycles are so short?

Thanks Twinkie, I love that you're still here keeping an eye on us :) doesn't feel like so long ago we were cheering you on! <3

Im in a good mood this evening, can't say more than that but some good change might be headed my way soon :) once it's confirmed I'll share! But it could turn my emotional wellbeing right round! (you girls are the only ones who wouldn't go "are you pregnant??" when reading that lol)

Patience, that's wonderful! I love that you're so optimistic about whatever this is! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you that it works out the way you want it to, can't wait to hear all about it! :)

Thanks for all of the welcomes girls!

Turtle that's amazing! Very similar!

I have a confusing history of AF. I started when I was 11 and it was full on straight away heavy & painful. I had an internal when I was 12 and they couldn't see anything in regards to cysts or PCOS so I was fobbed off with the pill at age 12. Had 4 different kinds of pills in the following 2 years, none of them agreed with me. Then I had the implant at 14, this made me bleed every 2 weeks for a year, they kept refusing to take it out until finally I told the nurse I wasn't leaving the drs until it was out of me, I ended up collapsing 2 months later and turns out it had caused me to be severely anaemic from all of the blood loss. When I turned 16 I was sexually active with my now Husband so decided to try the depo injection which was amazing, no periods at all for 3 years! Then when I turned 20 I decided to change to pill as knew we were getting married and might want to start a family shortly after. Around September last year I was admitted to hospital with stomach pain and an internal scan revealed a cyst. That's when finally I was booked in for my Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy to see what was really going on. They found mild endo but what they believed to be enough to of caused me the heavy and erratic, painful periods. My Dr has told me 22 day cycles a few months after coming off pill is normal and it will take longer for them to become long and more "normal" as he put it.

So there is my story, a long and draining one to say the least. Since I was 12 my body has been flooded with all kinds of hormones and it has done me no good what so ever. I believe I was let down and should of been investigated thoroughly when I was very young, it affected my quality of life. I flooded through my school uniform constantly and could rarely have sleepovers or the things normal teenage girls to due to my periods. I feel sad that there are other young girls suffering like I did and being fobbed off by the NHS in regards to what is normal but has definitely made me more aware that if I have a girl in the future and god forbid they suffer the same way I will pay privately if I have to to get them extra investigations done.

xx
