I was at Kroger yesterday and saw some First Response Fertility Tests on clearance. I had never seen them before so I got curious and read the packaging and it's supposed to measure your FSH level on CD3 - so it's kind of an at-home Day 3 test using urine instead of blood. It was $2.99 with the $2 off coupon from First Response' website so I picked it up. It also came with one early results pregnancy test.
I am already scheduled to go in for another Day 3 test for FSH and Estradiol levels next cycle but I'd be interested to see if the blood test lines up with the at-home urine test.
The packaging says if the test line is lighter than the control line, then you're fine ("able to get pregnant" is what it says). If the test line is the same or darker than the control line, then your FSH is elevated and you should go see a doctor. I am guessing the control is probably set at around 9 or 10 (without further investigation on the instruction booklet or their website) so anything above that is elevated.
