Summer Lovin'...bring us some babies!

Hello ladies. I wanted to ask if anyone out there uses the wondfo opks. For some reason I bought a ton on amazon before doing medicated IUI with the RE & I really didn't need them at all since my cycle was being manipulated. So since I do not plan to take a whole lot of time off before IVF, I thought I would see if anyone out there wants them. They are easy to ship & I don't want anything in return...just don't want them to waste. So if you want them, send me a PM with your name & address. I swear I am not a stalker...lol! :)

I got a response on this...the opks have been spoken for!!!

That is really nice. No good deed goes unnoticed. Karma baby? Lol maybe

Anyone that has had their dh do a sa want to tell me how long it took for them to give you the results. I know when you do iui you get them back immediately almost but I just want to know about the sa time. Thank you.

Still no O ladies! Don't know if I should give up at this point with the opks or what?! It's cd26.

Thank you. I believe 10 days may be the right answer. I got my hopes up yesterday thinking we would have results. I guess Monday it is.

Argh - FF moved my o date to CD13 this morning. If that is true then the timing of my IUI on CD11 was totally off! My doctor seemed so confident that I was going to O on CD11 though.

FBG - our charts look almost identical!!

Yes they do. You and I usually have bfp around the same time too if I remember right. December April and may I had positives and I believe two of those months you did too. We are going to have bfp this month too. Looks like your bding was good timing. Why did your MD suggest iui if you have got prego in the past? Any word of advice?

No I only got preggo once in December. It ended in a mmc and I had a D&C in Jan. Still had scar tissue left so I had a hysteroscopy in Apr. RE wanted to try naturally for three cycles first and we ended up doing four with no BFP. RE thinks an IUI might be a good option to try for recurrent losses and unexplained infertility.

We'll see what happens! Really hope we both get our BFP's this month!!

Mine drops his off at the lab, and they told him that the SA has to be done quickly, so they have the results within a few hours. They then fax them to the doctor.
The only reason you'd have to wait days is because your doctors office takes their sweet time. No reason at all for it to take days!
This is one of my pet peeves about having to get tests ordered by doctors. Its my body, I should be able to order any blood test/sample test I want, and get the results myself. Its not like the tests are dangerous, and its MY fluids! No doctor should have the right to hold my results hostage.
Pet peeve....you got to watch out for setting me off on my pet peeves about screwed up systems. :help::-#

aww floridasian, I'm sorry if they got the IUI timing wrong. It looks like FF isn't really positive which day you O'd though, you could be a slow riser. And you still had a good BD schedule with super swimmers, so you have a great shot. :)

I am just waiting for AF to show up at this point.
My progestrone came back way too low for 8dpo ( 8.4), BUT I have chart experts/critics saying that I didn't actually O until CD25! That would make the prog test on 4dpo which would be a good number for that day?
If CD25 is correct, I'm definitely out as we stopped BD the day of the positive. I know we should have the next couple days afterward too, but with his low count, and so sure it happened.....
The main problem is that since 1dpo I've been waking up at all hours, so I can't consistently get accurate temps. So who knows how accurate the temps I have, even are?
So at this point the only way to know if FF is right or not, is when AF shows up. So I wait :coffee:

minuet I have the same dilemma - I had two days of lower temps then it jumped way high so am I just a slow riser or did I really not O until the bigger jump? Your chart shows the same pattern - a smaller jump and then a bigger jump.

I don't think progesterone of 8.4 is that low. Yes it's lower than expected (I think 10 is what they like to see) but FWIW my RE doesn't believe in testing for progesterone because there is so much controversy as to how low is too low. He just puts everyone on progesterone supplement instead.

Best of luck to you!

Michelle - hang in there. I'd continue testing for OPK if I were you. It might still happen. You never know!

We will definitely be hoping for the bfp this month. I had my hsg this month. I don't know how the hsg effects the lining so it possible but I really wonder. I am waiting for spotting.

Thanks floridasian! I have been testing once a day now because I'm so done with peeing on things lol! It was another high today. So not sure what's going on. TMI Alert- But last night I had a lot I mean a lot for me of cm. I usually only have a tiny bit on my underwear but yesterday I could see a big spot. So we bd'd last night. This weekend I have slept in and haven't temped so will see what it says tomorrow. But this month my waking time has been all over the place with school starting back (I'm a teacher) so don't know how accurate this months. But I have come to the conclusion this month is a wash! But will be doing a monitored cycle next. Just hope af shows sooner rather than later but right now I have no clue when she will show.

Michelle, you could just give up for this cycle on testing, but be aware of fertile signs like cramping & cm. You still covered your bases when you could. So you still have a shot for the month. And your temps may not show O because of your recent sleeping patterns. Doesn't mean an anovulatory cycle.

I am filling out my papers for an IVF grant. It is amazing when you put on paper how much money you have spent. I don't regret the IUIs...they were a good option for us at the time. I am starting to get excited about doing IVF in a few months. Now I am trying to research if I can take FMLA for IVF. Not really sure. I would like to take off 2 weeks. But we will see. What are you guys' opinions on FMLA for IVF? Except for retrieval, transfer, & the recover days after, I could still work for the most part. I just feel it would be so stressful for me. I could be going to the doctor every day for a week or so for bloodwork & u/s. That is an hour & a half one way.

So the retrieval went well - they got 10 eggs - waiting for the call to see how many fertilized (not sure how much work I will get done today!) I was crampy and had some bleeding yesterday but slept most of the day. Took my first progesterone shot this morning - not as bad as I thought, but we'll see how the day progresses.

I decided to come into work today - I had cancelled any meetings just in case I wanted to take off and so I am basically just sitting behind my desk all day. I have pretty much used up all my days and plan on calling out Friday for the transfer, so didn't want to also call out today.

beaglemom - personally I would just use my sick time for all the IVF procedures and save the FMLA time for maternity leave. But again, my company is too small to be required to give FMLA so we don't have any FMLA time. I'll have to use sick time + vacation time for everything, including the actual maternity leave.

Sounds good moni! 10 eggs are great! Fingers crossed that they all fertilize!!

I have just enough vacation time to do IVF & work through it. Or I could wait until January when my time starts over. I have up to 12 weeks of FMLA within a 12 month period. So I would still have 10 weeks left for maternity. My company requires I use 5 days of PTO before FMLA kicks in. I may not even be able to do it...I will just have to see what the policy is.
