I think my lo is teething gave him calpol today. Tomorrow I am going to go and buy some teething gel. Can I use both calpol and teething gel together?

Calpol is my LAST resort. I try everything else first and if he's still in pain (grabbing his gums/crying), I'll give him calpol. So, yes, you can use them together.

You can use calpol with anything except other products containing paracetamol love. You can even give calpol and nurofen together which is brilliant for bringing down a fever.

I agree with kateycakes though - Anbesol liquid is much easier to use and is a lot more effective because it contains a local anaesthetic which numbs the gums and provides better pain relief than teething gel. It's so good I use it on my wisdom teeth lol!

Yes you can. Louis seems to have his molars coming through (albeit v. slowly) and his lower gums have great bumps all along them atm. Some nights he definitely needs something, I give him calpol or baby ibuprofen. Sometimes I'll put some liquid anbesol on his gums too, I don't use any other teething gels as they don't do anything for him. I've also used it on my wisdom tooth which is emerging x x
