Time seems to be dragging for me too, just want to fast forward to the next scan when we find out if its a pink or blue baby!

I was so gutted last week, my hard drive died, the worst thing was it wiped all my photos that I hadnt backed up (my fault) but it also wiped my huge baby name list! I had written 70 girls names and all but 3 were refused by the OH, and a load of boys names and we agreed on a few in the end but I cant remember what they were now!!

Just been looking through some baby name sites, its very overwhelming. Scanned a few and came up with some ideas but with the surname of Payne its a little difficult, my mum kept saying 'well that sounds like a medical condition'. One that I quite liked as very unusual and old fashioned was Amity but then putting it with the surname just brings up thoughts of the film and the baby name Amity Payne would inevitably translate to something like 'Horror Pain'.

Back to the drawing board. It even takes me days to name my pets so baby will probably be celebrating its first birthday before it gets a permanent name! I may stop looking until I know if the baby is strawberry or blueberry flavour to narrow the lists down a bit!!!!

Mrs J. I'm so relieved for you about your scan!!!

ZoMO~ I HATE when that happens. That truly is sucky that you lost everything! Grr.

So, i was surprised to get a call from the Dr. today b/c I did not get my 2nd levels done yet. But yesterday afternoon at 5w3d my HCG level was 28,806. My progesterone dropped from 19.9 to 17.2. She said everything looked fine so far and not to worry about the progesterone b/c she said at some point the HCG level gets too high that progesterone #s aren't as accurate and they level out. So, let's hope my levels look good tomorrow!

Good hCG levels, Dimples! I hope tomorrow's results are good as well! :happydance:

I'm sorry about the BFN :(

Well.. my baby aspirin story is basically I took it into my own hands to take it after reading all the great things it does to help you conceive and maintain a pregnancy if you have a history of mc. well, I was seeing a FS to get pregnant this time and when I went for my 1st u/s after getting HCG checked and all.. I had a small area of placenta separation and a pool of blood in my uterus. My FS was SO MAD that I was taking baby aspirin without his ok- and said you can't believe everything you read on the internet.. that unless you have a KNOWN clotting issue- you shouldn't take it after you get a BFP. The baby aspirin was either the CAUSE or making worse the placenta separation and had me stop it ASAP. Placenta separation is a VERY big deal- you are at a higher rate of MC if that happens and MANY women lose their babies if it happens far enough along. In fact- I think after reading HOURS online- I only found like 2 success stories- ie - practically NONE! I was put on bedrest .. went back a week later and thankfully it was healed. So- YES it can help with TTC and conception, implantation, etc.. but once you get a BFP- be careful! I *highly* recommend that people make 100% sure their doc is on board if a woman DOES take it- and that she gets monitored. Baby aspirin CAN help lots of women- but it CAN also hurt- and I was one of those women. I was PETRIFIED that I JUST had a MC and here I was going to have another one bc of me choosing to take baby aspirin- something I thought that would do GOOD. I think everything I had read about baby aspirin was positive- until I started looking at the correlation of what happened to me- THEN I found those stories. So just be careful if you decide to take it.. it could end up causing the one thing you're trying to prevent! :hugs:

wow~ your betas ROCK!!! :happydance:

From what I understand- progesterone levels can drop some depending on the time of day .. and I found this:

* progesterone levels do not follow a predictive pattern like HCG

* prog levels alone are not predictive of pregnancy success and need to be looked at in conjunction with HCG

* prog levels will fluctuate up and down hour by hour, day to day; prog is highest in the a.m. and drop in the afternoon or following a big meal

:hugs:

Thanks Holly! I have been researching progesterone levels tonight, and I feel a bit more at ease to know they do fluctuate. Thank you for this. I'm excited about my levels. Do you know Holly, when doubling HCG levels slow down? My #s last time doubled in 33 hrs. I know 48-72 hrs. is "normal," I just don't want to get let down if my #s don't double tomorrow, and in fact doubling is just slowing down. I can't wait for my scan!

Thanks little bird!!! My OH is getting nervous about how many are in there! lol. I'm like, let's have one healthy bean for now! :)

Holly, you are SUCH a huge help to us. You have so much knowledge. I appreciate you very much.

Dimples~ I believe any time between 6 and 7 weeks they start to slow down.. which is why after that~ there really isn't much point in checking HCG. And HCG does crazy things regardless sometimes! Mine doubled about that quickly too.. I only had the 2 initial blood draws myself! :hugs:

LWood ~ you're so sweet! Any info *I* have is the result of other ladies so I'm just passing it around! :hugs:

hello everyone :hi:
hope you are all ok??
yay shauna for hearing your little bean & janell your numbers look good :happydance:

im just back from docs & she has agreed to send me for full blood work but i have to wait until cd 1 & then cd21 for progesterone :grr: but at least its a start.
im feeling ok now....hoping to get some answers soon :flower: xxx

Moonbeam, I'm glad they're going to be doing some blood work -- hopefully you'll get answers! :hugs:

Beverly~ Glad to hear they are going to run some tests!!

Janell~ I forgot to answer you. Yes, I have every symptom in the book! And my nausea/tiredness gets worse by the day!

ZoMo~ Sorry to hear about your computer crashing! That is NO FUN!!

About to order some sea bands. Finding it hard to function everyday.

Janell glad your numbers are so high, lookingg good or a healthy pregnancy!

Shauna fab scans make me happy!

Beverley glad your GP is listening and doing something, if only all doctors were the same!

Afm - doing better today hormones must have levelled off! I'm relieved haha!

Shauna, loved the SeaBands... I do think it made a difference for me... Except at night when the nausea was at it's worst.

Moonbeam, really glad they will put you on progesterone.

Hello Everyone! Hope you all are well. :flower:

Moombeam~glad you are getting somewhere with everything!

Tweak~ how are you??? Any news with you? I know AF was due to show soon... just thinking of you!

Little bird~ how are you? 5dpo I see...any symptoms?

Mrs.J~ nausea for me has been rough this go around...it's all day. When I'm hungry I dry heave, when I eat I puke. It's a loose, loose situation and nothing sounds good to eat! Glad we can feel like crap together. :)

Sthorp~glad you feel your hormones are balancing out. It a check off the list on the "healing process" and moving on.

Sweet angel~how are you doing? is your infection gone?

Holly- Thanks for info... i totally agree with the aspirin... only take if run by doc first and after BFP... think twice..

For everyone- I had a big speal made up at lunch time to each of you on my phone and deleted it all... i suck. I was waiting on my blood work for hcg.

So update on me---
I went for hcg today... negative... did not even ask for the number I know it was less than 10 for sure... I know AF is comign so no expectations were there...

I did get a call from my specialist this afternoon and I have good-bad news. After my 26ish vials of blood i have some results.... still awaiting on others as well.

Bad news: I have a blood disorder. I have Factor 5. (not sure on all details of this yet)

Good news: It is treatable!!! I will stay on aspirin as he directed previously until I have a positive pregnancy. Once I have a confirmed pregnancy test I will go on liquid heprin (injection every day) for the full term of the pregnancy and for 6 weeks after the baby is born. WOW huh?

So I am still digesting.. going to cook supper and get kidlets to bed then I will be googling away my evening... Any advice or information from anyone would be great...
i will have another doctors appt with my specialist in September to go over more details on this and as well then my other tests will be back.

But in the mean time I have a lot to think about and ther is a plan in place. : )

Janell~ I used to feel good in the mornings, but now I feel nausous and just plain icky. So now I'm nausous 24/7. No puking or dry heaving, thank heavens! Just burping alot:blush: You need a journal so we can complain together:winkwink: I'm still on a TTC journal, not quite ready to make the move. Maybe after my next ultra sound on 9/1/11:shrug:

Mememe~ I don't know anything about blood disorders but luckily you have a diagnosis and a plan of action! Hoping you get a sticky BFP soon!! :hugs:

Steph~ Glad things are getting back to normal for you! :hugs:

AFM, I'm still sick. No change! :haha: But now it seems that my co-workers are all asking a few of my close co-workers that I am friends with if I am pregnant:shrug: What the h*ll? Bit annoyed by this. :dohh: Even my 2 man bosses are asking the lady boss (who I am close with). What? Men are the most unobservant (if that is even a word!) people on this planet!

Hey dimples! Thanks for asking. I'm not really doing much symptom spotting. I haven't started prometrium just yet, so at least I'm not getting a bunch of fake symptoms from that yet! I had been really achey for a couple of days after the hCG trigger, but that seems to be fading. I had some heartburn today, but it may have been the lunch I had. :haha:

Mememe -- I have never heard of Factor 5. I'm glad they have a plan for treatment! Hopefully that will be the end of the rollercoaster for you. I can't wait until you get your sticky BFP!
