The Northern Ireland Crew!!

Only this group, and it's only in Carrick for the toddler meets. Total two train journeys and about an hours walk for me but very interesting. I know you're down in warrenpoint way, I'm down in Newry a fair bit cause FOBs parents are there.

I was really hoping to find out more about tandem feeding but it seemed like a very specialised subject - no one was currently doing it but two women had, and not for very long. Very unusually there was a girl younger than me there but didn't get talking to her, shall go again at some point.

I have been tandem feeding over a year now. Never met any one that even breastfed down here. Pity I didnt have a car or it was closer I dont travel well at all.

Congratulations Steph!!!!

Sorry for the randomness but has anyone changed to Airtricity? Wondering if it really is cheaper?

I had considered doing it not so long along, but then I had the baby and things got in the way(as they do!) I think they do work out cheaper. x

I know Laura I've been meaning to check it out for ages but just haven't got around to it, the last electric bill we got though nearly made me faint so something needs to be done!

We've been in airtricity for over a year now, but couldn't tell you if It's cheaper... DH does all the bills!

They might be cheaper right now, but have a feeling in a couple of years they'll be no difference at all.

WHEN we win the lottery we'll be putting a wind turbine on our house. after a few years the council starts buying the lecky off u as well!

Would love to get solar panels. The price of electric and oil is shocking!

Ah Id love a holiday lol.

Is it normal for it to feel like Noah is trying to kick his way outta me?! Hes been stretching out this past hour and I keep getting painful sharp pains in my cervix like someones jabbed it with a poker that last about 4 seconds while something else jabs my lungs at same time!

Oh yes! Wee blighters feel like they're trying to burrow out alot at the end!

If hes not tryin to come out hes swishing around using ky kidneys as footballs! Hes supposed to be running outta room..but the movements def feel alot stronger now..I thought they eased towards the end..not for this boy..damn my long torso giving him extra kicking space.lol

Hehe I have the opposite problem, no space left and so every movement feels like the escape is going to be made like something out of the alien films!:haha:

I looked into it a bit more. We are currently pay as you go, as we had a massive bill a few years back which we couldn't afford and had to pay off. Airtricity do pay as you go, but you can't top up online, which is how I do it. Might just hold off.

My mum and dad have solar panels on their house. They rent it off the housing executive though. It only heats their water, but during the summer seems to be good enough. Usually gives them enough hot water to last the day/have a bath etc.

Matilda got really active towards the end, Luna! I too thought it would calm down, but in the few days before she was born she didn't sit still. I'm only 4'11" so thought she'd have no room left, but she found it somewhere! Hope he gives you a break soon!

I'm only 4ft 11in too speccy! I felt like she just pushed everything out of the way to make room lol

Update on Madison, I'd mentioned before about her speech as she is still not talking. I've notice other things about her that have concerned me like for example she rarely makes eye contact, sometimes seems to be in her own wee world, doesn't answer when called, doesn't interact with others kids or adults. I'm beginning to think she may have Autism or similar condition. I have 2 cousins on my mum and dads sides who have a variation of autism. My Oh's neice has been recently diagnosed with autism also.

The HV was out recently and she noticed the signs also, she referred Madison to speech therapy and to what I think she said a specialty doctor in child development. I could be looking into it too much but I want to her to have help now rather than later.

I'll give an update again when she has started her speech therapy :flower:
