I always thought the coil was a good idea, but I remember reading a magazine where a writer was talking about how she'd had it from a young age, had it out so she could have kids and then found it had made her infertile
so I didn't fancy that.
I think the implant is a lot better for long term effectiveness but I haven't tried everything so how am I to know?
Oooh, I don't know about that. I had the IUD in for 5 years before having it removed to try for Ellen. I was pregnant on my third cycle after removal
The Mirena didn't suit me. I'll not go into the exact reasons, but hormones don't sit well with me. I can't take the combined pill because of my history of severe migraines, so it was back to the copper only coil. I actually said to my GP as he was peering up my fandango that I'd prefer to give birth today than have another IUD inserted. Hurt like billy-o. I'm dosed up on CoCodamol now and feeling sorry for myself.
I think you tend to hear a lot of "scare stories" about all forms of contraception, anyways.
