Fingers crossed Tiffany!!!

2 more days of work! Maternity Leave (and NAPS) here I come!

HI everyone!!

Kitten its sounding good! Fingers crossed for you!

AFM my appt yesterday was fine just not much to tell... Basically she just went over all my blood results and everything is good! Only one thing wich isn't too much of a concern, I'm not immunised against rebella anymore. Which basically means stay away from any hear of cases cus that means a deformed or lost baby for sure. Good news is it is very very rare! Its weird though because a year ago I was still protected against it?? She didn't even try to hear baby yet as its still kinda early and I guess she doesn't want to freak me out if she cant find a HB. So next appt she will. Anyway, also booked my 18 week scan and next two appts (May 13th with my Dr, and 31st I am transfered to the specialist). So at least I have something to look forward to

Hi girls.
Just stopping by to say hello. I'm 8dpo, but now it's just a countdown to AF so we can start IUI. Once my cycle starts, I can call the MD to set up the timing, etc.
Wanna - sorry to hear that you didn't get your :bfp: this cycle. I can totally understand about wavering between TTC and NTNP. This month was so nice and not stressful. Got a few spontaneous :sex: sessions with DH, which I think was because there was no pressure. We will see how things go next month.

Today is my last day of work!! WOOHOO!! Tomorrow is family baby shower! Next week: GET NURSERY READY!!

Looks like I'll have some time, lol. Doctor appointment yesterday got checked for dialation. My cervix is "closed, high and firm." He is not engaged at all. He's giving me time to get ready for him and have a little time to wash clothes and organize his room thankfully!

Wanna- imppearl is right- opks turn positive sometimes when you have your bfp. I would test if you have any cheapie ones.

My af was whacked out the cycle before i got my bfp- it was very heavy and very painful. Not normal at all. Strange and completely opposite from yours- i almost swore i was having a mc even though i didn't have my bfp.

But i've heard of ladies having really light short afs and finding out they were pg anyway! so i'm hoping that this is the same for you as well!

Spunky- that's so great that you are almost done with work!!! that's awesome!!! Hope your last day goes nice and smooth!!!

I just found i failed my gtt- and now i have to take the 3 hour test. But i can't get in touch with the stupid lab to schedule the appt! I'm upset about this. their phone lines are broken or something.

Woooo Chelsea! SUCH a good feeling leaving work lol
Sorry to hear he's not engaged yet... But that doesn't mean he'll be late, Toby wasn't engaged AND he was back to back right up until my water broke!

Dare... Sorry to hear about the GTT :hugs: what does the 3hr test involve? Hope you get better results from that.

@Kitten, Good luck and baby dust hun..I hope u get your BFP soon..

:dust::dust::dust:

@Spunky, Woo Hoo!! I am so glad that your maternity leave has finally arrived and that you can relax and finish getting things ready for baby to arrive!!!!

@Dare, I am sorry that you failed that test, and I hope that everything is going to be alright with you hun....:hugs: :hugs:

@NJ, good luck with IUI this cycle, i hope you get your BFP soon...:dust: :dust::dust::thumbup:

As for me, I dont know why My OPK's have been positive still, it is really weird, I didnt get a chance to do one the last few days though because things have been kind of hectic lately, i had a job interview this afternoon for the short term temp job i mentioned earlier in the week, i thought it went okay but i havent heard anything back yet, and they needed me to start on monday, so i dont know why i havent heard anything back yet, i think maybe they went with someone else... oh well, the commute out to this place was a nightmare and over an hour so if i didnt get the job, i wouldnt be to upset to be honest, although the money would of been helpful....

ok, so just for the heck of it i just did an OPK and one of my internet cheapy HPT's, and here is what i got, the pics were taken minutes after dipping themin pee...Does the OPK still look positive??? Do you girls see anything on the HPT??? The OPK thing is very weird, i dont know what is up with them staying positive at this point??

Wanna - The opk defiantly still has a dark seccond line but I wouldn't call it a true positive as it's not as dark or darker then the control. As for the pregnancy test I'm not sure....?! I feel like i may see something on the second photo??! But im also looking at it on my phone or could just be line eye...? Lol wish I was more help

ok I think I see a line too- but I'm on my cell too.

I know that bnb ladies said a line showed up on their opks sometimes before their hpts- but how dark the line is I don't know. But! I really think I see one on the hpt.

thanks to everyone for the concern with the gtt. The 3hr one involves fasting all night- then a blood draw- then drink the stuff- then 3 more draws. I am so afraid of blood draws so for me this is just horrible news. I'm the biggest wimp ever. :(

thanks for looking IMpearl...I took another picture of the OPK after it sat for a while and the second line definatly looks as dark as the control now, this is a pic of the same OPK in my last post...I didnt see any change in the HPT test so i didnt take another pic of it..

ugghhhh...ohhh..no..:nope: I am so sorry you have to go through all of that, I am a big baby when it comes to needles too, I have to close my eyes and cant watch when I have blood drawn because it makes me feel like i might pass out....:hugs::hugs::hugs: Gosh I hope everything will be alright hun...:hugs: Please keep us updated and let us know when you get the results..

Ugh dare that sucks... I share your dislike of bloods so I'm sorry to hear you have to have so many :hugs:
What are the chances that the original test was false and thus one gives you the all clear?

Wannabe... Im on my phone too but at first glance I could've sworn I saw a line on that 2nd hpt pic. I don't know about the opks I'm afraid but it'll definitely be worth monitoring it for a while longer cause you never know!!! :dust:

So I got a tattoo for Toby. Don't have a pix on my phone yet but I'll post it when I can. It's got hid name, DOB, a pattern to represent his star sign (Aries, same as me and DF) and it has small stars around it. I'm pretty chuffed with it!

thanks girls- I can't look when they draw my blood because I literally start getting out of the chair and I can't control myself.
they said the test was inconclusive- so they ant tell anything really. The next one will tell if I have diabetes.

cottles- can't wait to see the tattoo! Sounds lovely hun!

wanna- the opk thing is crazy! It is very very dark- I'm totally confused

Wannabe - I don't see anything on the hpt, sorry. The opk though you should almost always have some kind of second line, I agree with IMPPEARL, if it's not darker than it's not a true positive. I think OPKs get stronger as they dry, so you're supposed to look at it within the time frame for an accurate read. This could all be wrong though, and I hope I am!

Katherine - cool about the tattoo! Can't wait to see a pic! That gives me hopes about James not being too late then since Toby was the same way!

Dare - I took the 2 hour test (they don't do 3 where I am) and I failed it. They were awesome about the blood draw. Since they knew I would be getting it done so much they used a tiny butterfly needle and I didn't even feel it! There's a great support thread in Gestational Complications, the girls have taught me a lot. Plus a lot of people fail the 1st test, but pass the 2 or 3 hour, don't give up hope yet. The diet has helped me keep my weight gain down and stay healthy. I do hate having to test 4 times a day though!

Work went great! I'm off! And I don't believe it, but I have my family baby shower tomorrow, so after that it's just chillin at home and getting ready! I'm in denial, I still feel like I have grading to do. My ankles have swelled up in the last few days (I haven't had ANY swelling my whole pregnancy), so it'll be good to be able to sit at home and put my feet up! I'm hoping the 4 pounds I gained last week are all in my ankles, hahaha. Couldn't believe it when I stepped on the scale!

I wasn't immune to rubella anymore either. But we found out right before we started trying, so I got my booster then. I agree though, I never hear about anyone getting rubella. No one tried to listen to baby until later for me either, don't want to me freak out :) Did I miss something? Why are you seeing a specialist, hope all is ok!

Dare - I hope they go easy on you at the 3hr test! Might be worth asking about the needles Chelsea mentioned. The problem I had is that my veins are deep down under the skin and nobody can find them first time ever.
Got my fingers crossed for you that the 3hr test comes back clear of GD. :)

Chelsea - congrats on hinkle being off work and have fun at your shower!
If you're not already, prop your feet up with pillows when you sleep. Elevating your legs will help slow down the swelling and stops it being quite so severe in the mornings. At least for a while.
I got pitting edema on my legs/ankles/feet in the last 3 weeks but I'm certain elevating my feet as soon as I noticed a bit of swelling stopped it from being quite as bad at the start.

Ladies I Need You're Help....

Still No AF and the Last Few Days I Have Felt Crap;

I have had migranes (do not normaly get) Felt Sick, Sleepy, Dizzy And keep going hot and cold....

I had a pink tinge in my CM again yesterday but nothing again today...

Hi all Im new to bnb and I just wanted some reassurance really. I've been using the cbfm and I just wondered whether we are bding enough?

We bd'd on cd11, cd13, cd15 and we plan to bd tonight which is cd17 and also cd19. I got a high on cd12 and I got my peak on cd16 so i assume I am ov today. Is it enough to have only done it every other day? Could I have missed it by not bding yesterday when I got the peak?

Thanks, Emma.
