I am sitting in a toilet cubicle in the pub shaking in anger my stupid MIL decided it was a good idea to dip her finger in her vodka and tonic and put it in my babies mouth. She is 3 months old, I will not be held responsible for my actions if anything like that happens again and OH you WILL be speaking to her about it or it will be a VERY long time till she comes near us again. This is about respecting us as parents and that was disrespectful all meal she has gone on about giving Our child food at 3 bloody months. I havn't been able to relax or turn my back all day and no chance will you be having her on your own for a very long time!!! ARRGGHHHH!!! And done I think lol

Thank you for making me feel normal for being so pissed off about this!! I'm still so angry I think my mommy bear feelings have come out!! Now a question, I really need help on how to say to my OH if your mom does that again She will not be seeing Emma in a very long time. We know how they can be about their mommies (but that's another story!!) so how do I say nicely tell her to respect my wishes because if I try to think of it myself I'll shout/cry and it won't end well??!? Help?!?!?

First explain WHY you are so upset? (alcohol = bad for babies, the fact that she'd think giving a 3-month-old a taste of ALCOHOL shows HORRIBLE JUDGEMENT, etc etc).
Get him on your side - that's what works with my OH!!

Your fight is with me and DH, not your niece, yet you still couldn't be bothered even sending her a card for her 1st birthday, despite promising MIL you would. You've just proved to me 1000,00000% why we were right to cut you out - you truly only do care about yourself.

MIL - it is time to "wake up" to her now? I know you were disappointed in her yesterday - even if you made excuses, your face said it all.

No witch burning but we do the huge bonfires.
I can't remember if our bonfire was huge but judging by the amount of ash on the beach in the morning I think it was - and for some reason I decided to sit in the hot ashes to get warm so I had to spend the rest of the weekend walking around covered in ashes
