Thread for TTC#1 12months+

Hi I'm relatively new to the site and thought this would be a thread I fit into we gave been TTC 1 yr 8 months we conceived at 8 months but sadly it ended at 7 weeks since then we have had no luck. I'm on cycle day 3 and hopeful for march as its my b day month and a bfp would be a wonderful gift.

Thanks for the warm welcome lol I noticed a lot of you are seeing doctors for your difficulty in TTC I have been considering it but wasnt sure my df says we just need to keep trying but I feel like at a year with no luck something must be wrong what do you guys think?

The one year mark (unless you are 35 or older) is usually when most fertility specialists will start running tests on you and your oh. It can take up to a year for a healthy couple with no fertility issues to concieve. So, if you have hit the year mark it would probably be a good idea to get checked out.

Thank you I guess we will just try in march ourselves and if no luck go ahead and make an appointment do you see a obgyn or so you see a fertility specialist I hope I don't sound stupid I just have no idea about this lol and what all will they do or check? I just hope its nothing major wrong cause we couldn't afford any treatment that cost thousands of dollars

Wannanew-- Welcome You can either do an OBGYN or a fertility specialist. I am still currently with my OBGYN and have had lots of tests. Here are some of them blood tests they will do FSH (follicle hormone test), Day 21 (progesterone test), AMH (follicle reserve test). Other tests include SIS (saline into the uterus & tubes while internal ultrasound to check uterus & tubes) HSG (Dye is put through the uterus and tubes, Xrays are taken). They can also do ultrasounds to check for cysts on the ovaries.

I see a specialist but I went to my obgyn first with my problems because I wasn't sure how to go about getting a specialist.

I will start with my obgyn I called and voiced my concerns a few months ago but he told me to give it to the one year mark and I'd no luck come in so like I said we will go ahead with march in our own then ill make that call. Sorry if spelling is off I'm on my phone.

I have come to the conclusion that I am going to see a new doctor, have them run test, and just have fun with my husband!

That sounds like a great idea LKC. My weekend was spent crocheting all sorts of stuff. I was pretty bored as DH worked this weekend.

Hey isom I'm not sure if I have seen you on other threads or not but congrats on the twins that's amazing that is a dream of mine I think it would be amazing to have twins I hope everything goes perfectly and you end up with 2 happy and healthy babies

Hey guys! Found another doctor!! I'm supper excited to meet him the end of this month, not sure how i'm going to deal with a male doctor but he can't be any worse than the one i had! Right?! LOL I go on the 28th so keep me in you prayers! Maybe he'll have good news!

I had a severe case of the clomid blues and that's why you haven't seen me recently. I'm starting to get annoyed with DH as tomorrow marks a month since the last time we BD and I had a frank chat with him about how we need to be BDing regularly but every night is an excuse. Sorry if it's tmi but I am very frustrated. At this point I just want to have sex BD or not...

How are you getting on?? besides the stressing of course.
