TTC peanut where are you!?

Hi girls!
CONGRATS PEANUT! WOW 5 months already! I'm sure he's going to be one heck of a cutie!
AFM I'm on week 9 (already!)
Haven't had any crazy morning sickness. Just a couple time here or there. Super tired. No sleep is enough sleep they aren't kidding when they say that!

I'm really pulling for you girls. Thinking about you all often.

*littlemeorhim. I had the HSG done June 13 and I conceived that same day. It was a shock and surprise! Good luck with it. Make sure your doc gives you antibiotics so you don't get a yeast infection. They aren't pleasant.

*mol. Did you ever get yours done love? If so how were your results? If not try to do it around your O but don't BD until the procedure is done. FYI Ectopic is common if you BD before.

Hey! It's been awhile Meg!
I actually have some good news - I got two :bfp: this morning!
Looks like I'll be following close behind you :)

:wacko:Aw, awesome Magz :) Wow!

Im glad you girls are doing great, Meg and Peanut! :)

Kallie Hope you are well!

I am scheduled for an HSG tomorrow! I am scared and excited both.. I hope the results are positive

OMG MAGZ!!! I want to jump through here and give you the biggest hug ever!!! Congrats love!! Soooooo happy for you!!!! Xoxoxo 😘😘😍

Mol don't be nervous. I hope they let you watch the whole process. It's so interesting.
I hope this is your turn too!
😘

How could it have been 5 months, Peanut? HOLY MOLY time flies, agh!!

Hugs to all the TTC'ers still here, and hugs to all the lovely pregnant mamas!

I have a fun situation coming up; in 2 1/2 weeks I am heading on a big road trip with 6 friends to Burning Man festival in Nevada (woo hoo!).... and that will be days after I get to test! Of course I'm hoping I'm pregnant, but I am kind of freaking out about maybe being pregnant, having to tell my friends (because they will KNOW as soon as I'm not drinking and partying, lol) and possibly having another chemical when travelling. Have you guys ever heard of telling people that early? And what could I do to prepare myself for travelling while in early pregnancy (ie. nausea, etc.)?

Pretty good chance this won't even come up (if I'm not pregnant) but I like to assume the best outcome ;)

Hmm I'd say that if it's that early it will be highly unlikely that you'll have any symptoms (hopefully at least for you haha), right?
As for travelling, at that point I also think it'll be too early to have any effect on the little one.
That sounds like a fun trip! What's Burning Man?

I did have heartburn right away with the chemical pregnancy (I NEVER get heartburn otherwise), and my HCG was super low, so I have a feeling I'm going to be one of those super sensitive pregnant ladies... We will see though, no point worrying before it happens eh? And heartburn isn't as bad as nausea, I don't think (so maybe I'll get lucky!!!!)

I even had symptoms with my guts - my gut problems instantly were better! I heard that lots of women get constipated, but since I kind of have the opposite problem, that week of being gut-problem free was glorious, lol!

As to Burning Man, I highly recommend you google it and check out burningman.com- AH-MAY-ZING! It is a huge (70,000 people!) festival in the desert in the middle of nowhere Nevada, USA where there is NO commerce or money dealt with for the entire week, where you get to be the person you want to be (including costumes!) and there are amazing art cars and music and huge feats of engineering and building and then at the end of the week the biggest art structures ('the man' included) are burned down in a firey inferno. Totally life changing!

Dang that sounds crazy!

As for your symptoms, well, I guess you'll be shit outta luck then lol :haha:

Oh wow magz congratulations! Peanut has another cyber sibling yaaayyy. Come on kallie and mol we need to build an international football team here lol. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you ladies and so is peanut!

Kallie your road trip sounds so awesome. In terms of things to be aware of.. don't do anything extreme if you know you are preg as first tri is always the cautious one. It's never too early to tell people esp those few that you are close with. Trust me the support really helps. In terms of morning sickness there are thousands of theories out there but its what works for you. I went through nearly 6 litres of cola cola in 2 days when I was seriously sick, that was the only thing that would stay down me for longer than 10 minutes!

Coca-cola?! Really?! Wow!

My trip is going to go one of two ways: Either I am pregnant (or might be pregnant, if my period is just late and I don't have a BFP yet) so I will be TOTALLY safe - no booze, no 'altering substances' and general healthiness (plus gentle dancing, meditating, and seeing the awesome sights). If I'm not, then I'm going to party hard (but still be safe) and come back ready to go for the next cycle!

I'm probably still going to try to be as healthy as possible - it is never a bad idea to meditate, be happy, eat well, sleep lots, and generally take care of yourself. I'll just be throwing the booze into the mix ;)

Thanks aw that's so cute cyber sibling lol!! I agree you guys need to join in :)

I can't believe you're already 5 months peanut! Are you on any preg threads?

Enjoy Kallie and don't worry too much.. as you know the baby doesn't derive its nutrition from the mothers bloodstream till 21DPO+.. Relax and live it up!

My HSG went well guys! No blockages. We will try on our own another few months before trying IUI. :) I hope I am as lucky as Meg with a fertile cycle post HSG. Meg, was your dye orange-red in color? I have heard the oil dyes help fertility while water based ones don't. Which was it for you?

I'm only on one other. It's called from the tww to the bfp. There are a mix of us on there at different stages of pregnancy. Come join us, you too meg x

Kallie. The day before we got our BFP I went to a wedding and got a REALLY lovely buzz...woops lol. I say dance dance dance and enjoy it all.
MS is a bitch & everyone had their own weird things that work for them. I say tell you GF's too if you're comfortable with it bc they're going to either question it and ask anyway or they'll try shoving drinks at you. Lol.

Mol mine was an orange-red too. It kinda looked like iodine. My md had said something about the water version not being good for you at all. I'm really praying this worked for you! Do the deed as much as possible!!
Did you get to see the process?

Xo

IS THAT TRUE? I NEED TO KNOW THIS.

Do you have some info on this? I'm going to google it, but if you have the info handy, please send to me! I've always thought people in North America are WAY too obsessed with alcohol in pregnancy, but then again there are a ton of people still binge drinking while pregnant and giving their kids Fetal Alcohol Syndrome so I guess I understand the paranoia.

I just wish non-alcoholic wine tasted better... It is no substitute at all!

Non-alcoholic wine? Grape juice? Lmao!
2 of my friends swore by having a glass of red wine a week during their whole pregnancy.
I totally think people are way to obsessed with all the you can't do this or that during pregnancy.

Yeah it's true Kallie - they say basically within the first month of pregnancy you're good, besides, think of all the women that didn't know and partied their first month or two...
As for alcohol throughout the pregnancy, a couple of sips a week are not gonna do any harm, however if you're doing a bottle a week I'd start looking at ya sideways lol ;)

Meg - YES.

I think it is pretty normal in Europe (France comes to mind) to have a glass of wine with dinner even when pregnant. In Canada, even HOLDING a glass of colored liquid while in a place where you COULD order alcohol gets you serious side eye! At least, in my corner of Canada that's what it seems like!

Calm down people. If one glass of wine every few days or weeks is the worst that happens, I think everything is going to be fine, you know?!

Bah. Though, from what the pregnant ladies I know say, it sounds like with the bloating and strong smells and different tastes they wouldn't want alcohol anyways, so maybe it is a moot point.
