TTC sucess after laparoscopy

Noja, I have the same book. If only things were as easy as they make it seem in that book! LOL

Yeah, herbal tea, a bit of exercise, lots of:sex: and Bob's your Uncle- a baby!!! I wish....!!!!!!!!!!!!thought there were some good tips though.

HI all, just back from my hols and thought would see how everyone is.

Lioness sorry to hear your belly button sore and weeping now. Mine is so much better, think the sun did it good although still tender and wasn't up to windsurfing on my hol :sad1: Probably best to get it checked out but hopefully clear up soon, i stayed away from mine and only washed in shower didn't use and cotten buds in it, not too sure whats best. Any sign of the :witch: and starting clomid??

Good to hear your getting on okay after lap cupcake queen, can't believe you went to work 5 days post op, i struggled and was 19 days post-op. Your results sound positive, fingers crossed for your :bfp:

Hi noja good to hear your doing alright. I had a looked at the zita west book online a while back and swivered whether to get it or not. I took Agnus Castus for 6 months or so but not restarted them after lap yet. Didn't really notice any change to cycle perhaps less cramps and slightly lighter :af: which is always good!! "herbal tea, a bit of exercise, lots of :sex: and Bob's your Uncle- a baby!!!" Sounds as easy as 1 2 3, :dohh:

 to you all, i'm off to unpack our cases so i can enjoy the next few days before heading back to work :hugs:

Hi guys, its great to hear from everyone. I am doing well, thank you for your thoughts :). I saw my specialist on Thursday to make sure everything was ok. He said the belly button is the deepest wound and takes the longest to heal....he is happy with my progress. With that said, I went back to work on Friday and Saturday and I wasn't too bad. Wearing a pair of work pants was the most uncomfortable part of being back.

Cupcake, its good you are getting DH :spermy: tested to make sure everything is well there as :spermy: can change over time. Fingers crossed that the results are good news :). I will also be taking Clomid on days 2 - 6 which I haven't started yet. I am hoping the :witch: will be here in a couple of days.

Noja.....any chance you could be pregnant......? Any chance it could be implantation bleeding that you have just had? Hmmmm. Lower back pain can also be a sign you are pregnant!!!!!!!!! If you have :sex: since the op....I'm thinking you probably are. Fingers crossed that this could be it!

Caz, how were your holidays? Has it been two weeks already...wow that went quick. No sign of the :witch: yet but hoping the next couple of days she'll appear, fingers crossed there!!!!!! How are things going?

Hi Jaz, how have you been?

HI lioness glad to hear your doing okay and specialist happy with your belly button. Glad your first couple of days back at work were okay too.

I'm back at work on tue. We were only away for 8 days but was great to get away, it flew by.

take care

Caz, some good news for me today....the :witch: has finally arrived after the op, such a relief...PHEW!!! Where about are you in your cycle now?

Hope you have a good week at work, I'm back on Thursday for 4 days. Then I have 2 days off, then 3 on, then 3 off, 2 on, 2 off, 2 on, 2 off, 3 on then 4 off....hehehe. In the meantime hubby is back tomorrow and has 5 on, 3 off, 4 on, 5 off, 4 on, 3 off, etc. As you can see, trying to time :sex: can be quite a challenge, either I'm tired and he's rested OR he's tired and I'm rested...and thats not to mention that he has night shifts (so isn't home) mixed in there as well!!! Anyhows, fingers crossed that DH and I will get to catch up for some fun somewhere during this cycle ;). Hope you guys have it a bit easier trying to get together and time :sex:.

Any news yet Noja? Hope you are doing ok.

Hi all. I am new here. It is awesome to read about others going through this too. I has a lap done last week. Found out I have one blocked tube, and they were able to unblock the other one with the blue dye. It was stuck at the tip. I am now on 100 mg of clomid. I am cd 13 now. I am wondering if both of my ovaries with ovulate and give me a chance this cycle... or if I will ovulate on the wrong side and waste this cycle. I am optimistic though! I would be grateful for input or opinions. Thanks! Hope we all get :bfp: asap!

Welcome wish2bmama!

Fingers crossed for you this month. I am on Clomid (50 mg) and last month I had one follicle per ovary - so both produced an egg. Hopefully you will as well (particularly as you are on stronger dose).

Good luck with everything. You have one clear tube which is fantastic. I recently had a polyp removed from my right tube which I didn't know about. Interestingly I got pregnant last year before my lap - so must have all happened with left side. So there is a lot of hope.

Welcome to the lap club!!

Welcome wish2bemama, hope you're recovering well from your lap. Fingers crossed for you this cycle!

Nothing to report lioness, I think I ovulated from the right ovary this month though so not holding my breath as that is the side with the blocked tube. Having said that the gyno told me that the egg will often find the healthy tube regardless if which side ovulated. I have to say I'm very cynical about that, I still haven't had my review with him yet though. We're supposed to be waiting for DH's sperm test and he hasn't even got an appointment yet. It is actually really upsetting me that DH doesn't seem to fell the same pressure as I do about this, if that were me I'd me on the phone pushing for an appointment but he just seems to happy to sit back and wait to be called :telephone: Am I the only one who feels that sometimes DH just doesn't have the depth of desire that I have for all this even though he maintains he does. Oh I'm really a witch at the minute, I just feel SOoooo frustrated and helpless about this, I feel totally at the mercy of my stupid tubes and eggs. Silly thing is I know that there is no good reason that I won't get pregnant, I just need to learn patience, but that has never been my strong point.
Sorry, I'm raving like a lunatic!! Lioness, I hope you get a chance to :sex: at some stage, it must be really frustrating to be constantly missing each other like that. It's not often people are delighted to see :witch:on this site but in your case that's great.
Cazhd, I keep reading Zita but nothing has happened. DH has even assigned it as his bathroom book at that minute-he should be through it in no time!:loo:

Welcome wish2bmama :hi:

Thats great news lioness bet ur glad the :witch: finally showed up i know i was. I'm cd 16 but never opk'd on holiday so not sure when ov'd which is really annoying but tried to cover all angles so far. Your shifts sound as bad as mine. On 2 nights then off for take that concert, woo hoo then one off, back for one off one, on two nights, hmm, doesn't sound good really, i will also hopefully see dh inbetween.

sorry your feeling like that noja, we all have times like that, know how you feel. I think i should get zita for dh's bathroom reading he'd have it read from cover to cover in two days

take care

Welcome wish2bmama, hope you are resting up after you lap. Good news that they unblocked one of your tubes. Did you know that your tubes were blocked before the op? Don't forget to look after yourself and don't rush back to work too quickly :). I am sure it won't be long till you get your :bfp:...hang in there. We are all striving for 2010 babies....welcome aboard!!!

Noja....any news? Looks like you are due to test in a couple of days, any other signs or symptoms? Have you done any early tests to see? As for DH's :spermy:, perhaps try and get an appointment IF you start a new cycle :). Yeah, I think guys aren't overly happy with having to produce a sample in a jar and hand it into the labs. Maybe thats why he isn't chasing up an appointment... hehehe. I can understand your frustration and its only normal, I would be the same, hang in there :hugs:.

Yes, I am elated that the :witch: has finally arrived...and it will be the last time I want to see her too!!!!!!!!!!!!! I won't be so happy next time (and there better not be a next time, let me tell you!!! hehehe) Mind you, she has been quite uncomfortable this time...how was everyone elses first cycle after the lap, etc? Heavier? Crampy? Lighter? Different in any way?

Cazhd, your shift do sound as bad as mine. Whats the book zita?

I have had a pretty good day today. About a week ago, DH and I went down the coast to visit a friend for a couple of days, and the neighbour across the road there was moving things back to Sydney (emptying out place so to rent it out) and they were getting rid of some baby things, so DH and I snavelled them up and brought them home to clean up and use ourselves (they were in pretty good condition). So today I have been setting up one of our rooms with the newly cleaned cot and baby wardrobe. DH and I have also been buying baby things along the way, so I have been putting them in the wardrobe. Looks good, very exciting :).

Bit by bit we are all getting closer to our :bfp:. This afternoon I start on Clomid and I have a acupuncture appointment with the TCM guy.

Lioness, thank you vey much. I did know they both were blocked. My RE blew up my womb with sugar water and used the vaginal ultrasound to see if the water came out the ends. NOT very pleasant I will say. lol. I get my stiches taken out tomorrow or friday, I can't wait for that.

My RE actually said he wouldn't us clomid on me this cycle (that was on my cd 6) and then I went in for a check up on cd 9 and he said he did want to put me on it. So I did my clomid from cd 9 to cd 13. He said it would be fine, and I hope so. lol.

Thanks for the hope and kind words ladies!

Hey all,

Noja - don't despair. I am sure your DH is on the same page as you and wants it all as much as you do. Sometimes men are just not as persistent or happy to go with the flow. Maybe you should tell him how you feel about his attitude? Maybe he doesn't realise he's being like this, or giving off that impression. My DH had to go give a :spermy: specimen today and from what he tells, it wasn't really THAT enjoyable - small room, chair, magazines etc not terribly arousing!!

It seems like everyone is back on track - I feel good today - went to acupuncturist and felt amazing afterwards - haven't had it for a few years, and forgot how good it is. He said he can help with my PCOS and also regulating my cycle. He helps a lot of people on IVF, so he isn't opposed to conventional medicine to help things along. So at the moment, I have a pretty good outlook on everything, even though we didn't get our :bfp: this month. This is the first month for a long time I haven't cried when the :witch: arrived - I'm just trying to see the big picture.

As an added bonus - I went to the P!nk perform on the weekend and she is an amazing singer. Her concert was fantastic and she did the most amazing acrobatics! She's very inspiring. I've been running to her music!!

Clomid has given me three big pimples I am sure of it!!

Lioness - :witch: this month (post-lap) has been quite good - a bit crampy on CD 1 but apart from that all good. ONly thing is now it's CD4 and it seems to have stopped! World's shortest period!??! Will tell FS on Monday when I go in for follicle scan.

Hope your first Clomid tablet went down ok!

Cupcake, the first tablet went down fine (I hope). Looks like we are not far apart in our cycles as I am CD2. The :witch: usually only goes for 3 days for me, I wonder if it will stay the same as before the op. Time will tell. How long did the :witch: go for pre-lap for you?

Hey Ladies!
Hope everyone is doing well. Got my stiches taken out yesterday. It hurt a bit. lol. I have a follicle growing in both ovaries! So I have a shot in my working tube! Yay! They gave me a trigger shot to bring home but told me not to use it. haha odd. So I go in tomorrow to see when I should be ovulating or to take the trigger. Praying this is the month for a BFP !!!

Cupecake, how did DH's tests come out?

wish2bmama sounds good!! Fingers crossed for you this month.

As for DH's tests - not good! Another complication for us. Apparently he has sperm antibodies whatever that means. We have appt tomorrow, so will find out more then. It's really just made me feel so low and down. I thought it was just me, but now it's both of us!!!! And the fact he has a child with his 1st wife makes me so mad - why did it work out for them, but not for us???? :hissy:

I am trying to get my head around IVF as I think that's what we will have to do. But I don't know how I feel about a baby being made in a test tube. It doesn't seem right to me, to create something that nature doesn't intend???

Lioness - pre lap, I'd bleed for about 6 days. Seems like all good for CD1-3 this month, then nothing CD4, then had light flow CD 5 then that's it. So seems ok - going to see doc tomorrow, so will ask then.

Wish2b - good news about the follicles in both ovaries. How did you go in regards to the trigger and ovulating Dr's appointment? Fingers crossed that everything will work out well this month for you....and the rest of us hehehe!

Cupcake - sorry to hear about DH's results :hugs: I don't know what to say. Let us know how you go with tomorrows appointment. Do they do an antibody test with the :spermy: analysis? My thoughts are with you, at least tomorrow you'll know more about what happening...keep your chin up :hugs:.

Nothing much to report here except I have just taken my last Clomid tablet for this cycle...so its now up to us to get some exercise in over the next week :).

Hello ladies, good to hear things are moving along for everyone.
Cupcake, sorry about your DH's results, hope your appointment goes well and you can gt some drection on where to go next. Lioness, best of luck with your.......exercise, fingers crossed for you!! I think I'm going to go see my gyno asap and I'm going to ask about Clomid too.
Thanks for all your encouragement ladies and sorry for spouting so much! Poor ever suffering DH, whom I really do love more that anyone else in this world. I know he wants this too, he just expresses it differently simply because....he's a man. I did two early tests this weekend and as I suspected both showed a :bfn: :cry:Even though I knew I had ovulated from the bad tube side I still in pieces-daft I know. However, I've picked myself up again as we do, and now we're concentrating on next month (even though we'll most likely be in Sotland visiting DH's family at that point)
Anyway ladies, take care and have a good weekend!

Hi all, sorry to hear about your DH sa cupcake queen :hugs:. Hopefully you'll get some good advice at appointment and find out what it means. I know what you mean about IVF but i think dh and i have got to a stage now where were willing to try anything.

Noja know what you mean about men expressing themself differently and on our bad days we all feel no one understands it all. Sorry you got :bfn: on early tests, i've gave up testing i get too disappointed seeing one line. One day hopefully soon we'll all get our two lines and be in shock, i bet!!! Fingers crossed for next month, and you'll be in my end of the world, hope your quiet

Well thats your first lots of tablets taken lioness, hope you manage plenty of :sex: hope your feeling okay and not suffering from any of the side effects people talk about

 to u all, take

Hi everyone,

Went to FS today to discuss 'options' and basically there are none. Sperm antibodies are bad news and IVF is our only option. :cry:I can't seem to get my head around this so am unsure what the future holds for us.
