Waterproof spray

I'm after some waterproof spray for my new boots and OH's trainers, can anyone recommend a decent one that actually works? Thanks

Frankly in my opinion they're all a bit shite

I like clarks best, but it does have to be reapplied fairly regularly after cleaning the boots, but it did save a pair of white doc martins for at least one year for me (with repeated applications)
