Can't remember if this was th3 conversation where we were talking about home bargains being closed boxing day, but I saw on Facebook that aldi is following suit

Me too, we all buy far more than we really need over the Christmas period anyway, extra milk and bread and all sorts as if the shops will be closed for a week instead of one day. It's hardly going to hurt to have 2 days without the shops and let the employees spend time with their families

DD got her song to learn for the nativity play at school

Stitched some things for a necklace I am making for LO's first nativity at school. She is a squirrel and I am currently working on the costume. I need some opinions though - can anyone identify the green item between the acorn and the conker? I thought it was obvious but OH thought it was a cocoon or a tadpole.

The co-op are doing these toffee and ginger bread tarts and they are amazing. They were reduced to 35p for 4 as they had today's date on and I could honestly eat 4 to myself. It's a tart (obviously) with like a toffee sauce in the bottom and a ginger bread flavour cake on top, almost like a Bakewell I suppose. It's their Christmas range so I'm including that in my Christmassy things today

Today I got the chance to upload the photos for blankets for Ds and my nieces x 3. I put an hour aside for it - with one thing and another it ended up taking 3 hours!!!! So glad it's done, very excited to see what they'll be like.

Got my decorations from the loft !

Decorated the house. I'm pretty sure all that's left to do is hang some ribbon to put cards on and for ds4 to decorate the tree in his room when he gets home. We've got all the Christmas glasses, plates and mugs out too so had a cup of tea in one of those (made in a Christmas tea pot. It's the only time of year we use a pot )
All the boxes need to go back in the loft now.

Got my Christmas tree and decorations out of the big cupboard for tomorrow!

Went shopping with my mum and got a few stocking filler bits. Only went b+m and Matalan but shops were manic!!

All I have rto get now is a massage voucher for DH and some bottles for his work colleages and BIL.

Helped set up for school winter fair.
Rearranged living room now new sofa is in
